Hey Uros, I really admire the quality of your videos-they’re super well-made! However, I’ve noticed they often lean heavily in favor of Webflow. I get that you’re running a Webflow agency, so it makes sense that you prefer it, but sometimes it feels like the benefits of other platforms are overlooked. Don’t get me wrong, I think Webflow is an incredible tool, and it absolutely has its place in the market. That said, I’m not a fan of over-promoting any single platform. Good to hear that you are addressing this. I am seeing this increasing trend of web designers going straight to Webflow or Framer without considering the costs involved for different types of businesses. No doubt both are great visual development platforms but the developer should clearly explain what the compounding costs could be incurred.

Holy shit, you opened my mind! I did not know that you can use both shopify and weflow together. I was only using shopify till I stumbled upon customization issues and couldn’t get the website looking as I wanted. I tried using Chat-GPT to help me code, but still limited... Then I was trying all the other different web designing websites, and had to sacrifice something :/ but using both is genius! Thank you for sharing this valuable information. I believe that as a freelancer it should be good to know all the major site builders and to be honest webflow does the css and html mockups very well. It is the closest to html and css, however their is no competition between webflow and wordpress since its is much more capable when it come to customization if you know how to code. And it does not break your bank one platform do it all. Webflow is build on legacy code and jQuery in 2024. Well wix studio codux and wordpress is still the best bet. And if your gig is design without understanding the code underneath. Than its better to stick with framer and webflow and bubble as well. But i think its a design software same as Photoshop and figma. But not a development tool. I believe its an insult to developers that a designer calling them web developers. What if the webflow stop working. Than what happens to the customer. Nothing wrong with designers and design software its not. Not all platform is equal. Some platforms are not for design knowledge only. Wordpress are one of the secure sites in the planet. But you need to understand what you are doing not only how to design. If you only rely on others code alone than you are in a bad place. You need to understand how to solve problem. I believe thats what clients hire developers for.

I don’t know how you managed to build all of this on your own in the beginning. I’m working on a project, but when I see the amount of work ahead, I feel like I’m standing in front of a bottomless abyss (and I’m not a developer)

Good comparison 💪 For many of my clients, WordPress has been the default option. When I ask why they use it, they answer, "We know it already" or "Everyone else uses it." They usually come around when we discuss the same points you made in the video. In the past, we had fewer examples of big companies using Webflow. Nowadays, I feel like Webflow has reached a level where it is generally considered a viable and trustworthy platform.

I agree with you guys about everything actually, if you are looking for best solution it should be Webflow- cms, simplicity (compared to others) and all in one place even if its a little bit more expensive (but it is not actually at the end). Webflow is amazing solution and it will be used more and more

Pretty useful video, appreciate the effort and I've written down all the mentions Apps. A small suggestion from my side: as a non-native English speaking person I really was struggling with the mentioned names of the recommended apps. I had to go back and forth, check the screen for possible details or go by the logo and figure out what app might be mentioned. It would be way easier when you have the option to either show the name of the app within the video or, use (if avaiblable) an affiliate link and put the direct links in the text below the vid. Apart from that, thumbs up!

What about using webflow for it's design and CSS capabilities then just exporting the code as a theme and importing it into shopify via udesly. Sort best of both worlds on what you're talking about in this video - Webflow design & shopify backened but it's atually a shopfiy website after importing theme.

This guy is a liar. Just straight up scammer. WordPress plugins are often FREE, and all you need is the free version. Webflow is a toy compared to WordPress that's why nobody really uses WebFlow outside of brochure websites.

Wordpress switches to javascript (node) - then every webflow will be dead :(

While this is a good video, this is not a balanced review of the two platforms - the bias is obvious...and you should have issued a disclaimer to that effect. Speak to the core strength of each and why you would need them, and not casting impressions on WP to the advantage of WF. WP offers flexibility for high customisation covering costs, choice of web hosts, customisation and more; it is like a tool box that you can build anything and anywhere. While you may be able to build many things with WF, you can't build everywhere - only with WF. I don't think you were very clear on the audience of both platforms - both are fit for purpose, and that is what I expected from this video, not a WF sell. For many small businesses, that monthly WF cost is way more a burden that the hassles of dealing with WP maintenance 'headaches'. Again, with a disclaimer, there would have been nothing wrong with the video.

@Uros Mikic All that talk and you don't even explain how to send the form content to the client. I have to say Webflow seems like the most difficult platform I've encountered. Basic stuff that works on other website is like a puzzle.
