@@Swing_Twice we aren’t too picky on what kind we hunt! 😂 our favorite grouse are the ones our dogs have on point! We killed only Ruffeds in Idaho on our first few hunts this year. Totally depends on what part of the state you’re in! Thanks for watching!!

@@4SCHOPRODUCTS if you mean the real snipe, yes. Used to shoot a few while duck hunting rice fields. You hunt them with dogs?

@WesternWings we walk them up and have our retrievers help find them after we knock them down. Haven't seen a pointer hold on one ever.

@@jonfisher9214 we really like them. Just picked up a smaller one we are about to do an initial review on with some COLD weather camping. We love the speed of set up. Never going back to a cabin tent!

@@sulaimanalhafez6192 thanks for coming back and watching!! We shoot kent 5s or 6s 2 3/4. 1 1/4oz or heavier. We shoot fast lead but now we can only find diamond shot. We also shoot some Rios and Fiochi! Haven’t gone to 3” but there are some days we wish we did ha!

Well…there were 2 guns going off! You know how that goes. Lot of the same birds shot by different guys in bird hunting ha!

But, 3 definitely fell on that volley!

Life gets in the way too often!! 🤣We don't get to go every week, but some weeks we get to go more than once. We try to save footage over to be able to pump out a video every week. Looks like you have been hammering the quail!!!!

@@WesternWings Yep. I ignored the repair yesterday to smack quail and was getting up to go for chukar, looked at the sink and went darn OK I need to fix this 😭plus I realized the time changed and was a daylight hour behind for hunting. Do they even change the time over there?

@ yes sir!! Extra hour is nice! Don’t enjoy it in the spring. We work a few different jobs…every time we go we are on our phones working in between coveys 😂 someday maybe we won’t have sinks and emails ha!

@@TheRoamingHazard I was asking because if you have- they run like nobodies business!! IF you can get them broke up they’re fun and will hold. We kill em when we hunt where they are but it’s always hard to get em pinned. Love to kill em, hate to hunt em if that makes sense ha! They may be different in other areas but that’s been my experience!

@@WesternWings Interesting. I feel like that's how the valley and gambels quail and chukar are out here in the desert when they're in thinner cover like creosote aka the see though bush. I found it hard for me or the dog to get close to chukar on our last hunt in the desert without using hard terrain to cover our approach. But the cover there is definitely thick enough for chukar to hold and the huns are still runners. BTW what a hunt getting all those species in one day!

@@TheRoamingHazard they all run 😂 in our experience chukar are just easier to bust up and then the singles hold better. It’s harder to ever get the huns busted up. But again- we don’t hunt much in places with a high quantity of huns ha. We just happen upon em in some of our chukar spots. So not the best authority on them!

@@justhoundstv4851 you’re one of the few I’ve seen that actually had both! I haven’t noticed any difference in connection between the 2. Both worked great. I was 2 miles from my dogs yesterday in mountains and didn’t have any trouble. The pathfinder 1 definitely lost connection.

@@clbrown23 we probably should, but don’t when hunting! Let me know if you find something good! We like to be able to hear them calling, flushing, etc.

We love it! We are getting faster at set up and tear down is a lot easier than our cabin tent.

There are snakes around but we have not had any trouble. We hunt when it opens in late September in Utah. Thanks for watching!

We will use boots when it gets cold! Hard to beat a good trail shoe when the weather is nice!!
