@malgozata1875 I love the hot weather. Too cold here. Although I'm in Broken Hill outback Australia so it's classified as desert which means 40+ in summer and 0 in winter! Yes I'm turning up the pressure in these 1 minutes challenges but you're right paint for pleasure not stress! Amen!

@BenHeffernanArt he would tell me that my values were off and it would be better to go over it and would proceed to tell the class "5 minutes left" lol so I would kinda have to make a whole ass painting in a few mins

@sen_salix Oh I see. Was your 5 minute painting better than the 40 minute painting? I am self taught so values confuse me. As a kid I became very good at copying but I was frustrated with the fact I couldn't paint from my own imagination. So when I tried, I soon realised the importance of light & dark, cools and warms. Especially for light reflections etc. Thanks for commenting.

@@BenHeffernanArt Thank you. Yes, definitely.... right now, I am doing some painting of my own... and creating a gallery made up of all kinds of things.... The walls are OVERTAKEN by pictures. Ha, ha.

@malgozata1875 Nice. You know, one of the things I love about art is you can take a blank white canvas & create something from nothing. Whether it's a pretty floral or whatever it is you've added something new to the world that wasn't there before and all from your own imagination.

@@BenHeffernanArt Absolutely. Now that i started to paint, i find it addicting. I actually crave painting, creating, making something beautiful. It's a big challenge for me because i am learning. But it feels so good when i succeed. It's like climbing a mountain. Thank you, Ben. This is kind of personal, and you don't have to talk about it, but your recent videos have you painting in this small, darkish (made up word) room. You said that you were working remotely, but then your daughter visited you, making me think that maybe you moved. Are things at home alright? You are such a wonderful guy.
