Please make something like this but as a slow in depth step by step tutorial of the full process plz.
Already did. Check latest video, though that is for G9
Can you please do a One Tutorial to Rule them All? Most of these always skip something like handling the hair, clothes, textures, reimport into daz? Ive learned how to handle the body and morph but im still unsure what to do about hair, clothes and textures. Id love to see a tutorial from a full game model rip to all of the stuff that came from thar rip fully intl a genesis figure😮
Check the latest video. That might be helpful for you.
Thanks for the tutorial man, a question. i am trying to combine this "SelectpointSpline" with "select polygon, replace, subset etc (this for replace the hand, legs or neck by genesis model) like your previous tutorial but when i press in "compute" in "fastwrapping" the program crashes and close, so i would like know if this is posible to do like your previous tutorial
Try putting all the replacement stuff after the wrap. Meaning you wrap the model first, then take that output and perform the replacement node.
oh so the hair will always be deformed whenever I do transfer rig and I must doing an extra step that is making and load the morph for the hair to make it stay in shape
The reason for that is because the hair will be affected by all kinds of morphs, including the head morph, as well as any hidden morphs and whatnot, as well as the rig itself. Including the hair as its own morph sidesteps all these issues.
@@Shinteo5 oops, I did the loading morph for the hair but its just further deforming, kek. Guess Im missing some steps
Oh man, thank you so much for keeping your word, you are a wonderful human being:)
:D
Heads up, Wrap got updated again with some cool new nodes!
Thanks. I'll check them out.
Good job my friend, We need more videos like this.
Thank you.
weird, how do you get the eye caruncles look so nice after wrapping but mine is just a mess
Exclude the eye socket from the wrap.
Hi Sensei Kelvin, The help we artists receive thanks to your work is priceless. Thank you so much,I love you! Could you please upload a complete Livestream using the new version of Wrap3 of some character from Wuthering Waves or Zenless Zone Zero?🙏 I would like to try to convert some of the characters you haven't converted yet and it would be very helpful.
Thanks. I'll see what I can do when I work on them.
Thank you so much, you are the BEST!!!!😊
@@davidpinosbarragan7382 Welcome :)
Also, you don't have to scale up the model to stop the clipping issue, you can just change the 'clip plane' setting in the settings to '0.01' and it lets you go in as far as you want.
I am aware. I found another issue regarding that in Wrap though, in that when it is small, I cannot seems to target the vertices accurately. I think there is something wrong with the scaling in my copy, as I also have trouble using move on the brush node. Might be because I got it on the high seas.
@@Shinteo5 Oh, yeah, that makes sense. You could try getting the legit trial version on the website, then just deleting the trial files, which will reset it when it runs out. That works for me.
@@imjesusdad6361 Thanks. I'll give it a try.
Nice video! Hey I was wondering that can we import a model in Daz and keep its vertex groups and weight information? So that we don't need to do rigging and weight painting in Daz, but in Blender instead. As far as I know there is no way to achieve that.
When exporting from blender to obj, there is an option to keep vertex group. You can actually use that to set up a rig in Daz, though I've always found the MMD method to be much easier and more accurate.
@@Shinteo5 Vertex group can be kept but weights can not, so the rigging can still be only done in Daz.
@@yekbruce4728 Yes, the only other way is the MMD method I use.
@@Shinteo5 May I ask what is MMD method? Exporting to Daz in MMD?
@@yekbruce4728 Yes. You need to get a plugin for Daz to import MMD, but it's the only way I know of to import rig intact.
How about transfering body texture?
There is a transfer texture node for that. Can also refer to other videos in my channel for more details. I think those are using the older point system for the wrap, but the texture part is exactly the same.
Shinteo, i have a question in G8f, the neck part no longer exists on the surface now its the head, what a do to make the head surfaces, It's still the same as your old video ? and a second question, ihave a obj model with all body texture, you can explain how to convert it to g8f?
1) Export the g8f with the vertex groups, and you can use those to select the neck and upper neck. 2) The process is exactly the same, just using the entire body. Once you have the wrap, you can transfer each texture over to daz's UV maps, using the subset node to isolate each part as needed. Then you can use a graphics editing tool like GIMP or photoshop to piece everything together again.
@@Shinteo5 thanks You
@@Rey-cz2bt Welcome :)
great tutorial! i'd like to ask you something. how do i make the transfer when my character has clothes and hair? i'm trying to convert a model from silent hill 2 remake into genesis 8, but the character has clothes and that makes the process very difficult.
The best way I found is to import the figure into Daz, and shape the G8 as close to the figure as possible using already available morphs and dials. Use this modified G8 as the base for the Wrap and exclude the parts covered by the clothing using subset, or the exclusion node in the wrap. Finally, take the wrapped G8F into blender and clean it up there, using the figure as a guide.
@@Shinteo5 oh ty! and about the clothes. do you have any tips on how to import the obj clothes into daz and merge them into the character?
@@luh-5809 You don't merge them with the character. Treat the clothing as outfits and transfer the rig from G8 to the outfits. There are other videos that cover that here, or you can refer to the livestreams where I did that.
Could you do a tutorial on how to make a translucency/SSS texture for characters skin? I know how to do the base, but the translucency on Genesis 9 face and skin is confusing.
I'll be honest. I have no idea how to do that either. So far I've just reused the base Daz textures if there is a need for it, or ignore it if not.
Thank you so much for this guide finally helped me figure out how to convert textures correctly. Super helpful for me.
Glad it is useful for you :)
how do I exclude regions ? for example, I have a character in blender and I want only the body, not the head. How do I exclude the head region of the character in wrap so I only have the body?
also, if I want the head morph, how do I align the teeth? eyes are also a problem but I can fix them, but the teeth always look fucked up.
@@gggreatness Wrap has lasso select, so you can select each part very easily. If not, you can try selecting by vertex or by textures, both of which can select head easily. Regarding teeth, You can use the replace node to replace the wraped teeth with the original, and fix the alignment in blender. For select them, textures work best, as you can easily select them by teeth and mouth textures.
@@Shinteo5 resolved it with shape splitter addon in daz but thank you anyways
@@gggreatness Ah, you mean in daz. My bad.
24:00 neck
what version of wrap4d is that ?
Wrap 2023.10.3. Sorry for the late reply. I only noticed it now.
The eye part is the most difficult in my opinion.
Yeah. Though you can add more lines if you really need that level of detail.
Hey Just found your channel. Do you have fbx to daz3d?
The steps are exactly the same. Once the fbx is loaded into blender, the model can be used the same as any other.
Love you shinteo , your video tutorial really helpfull for community
Welcome. :)
Probably not going to answer but Ill try it anyway. Is there any way to export animations from the characters of the game? I've been searching for so long now and theres no info about it online
Sorry, I don't know how to get the animation out either. I only need the model, not the animation, so never learn how to extract those.
how do i extract the tiger files
Sadly the forum mentioned in the video has shut down. I have no idea where to find that info now.
I tried to but couldnt get anything to work, the wrapping on give error results cuz the 2nd model missing entire body mesh
Yes, you do need both mesh for this to work. Try loading the obj of the model you want to wrap.
@@Shinteo5 yes, I do have both meshes loaded. I mean its same case with your Wedge FF7R tutorial video. The original character model has only head, arms and legs meshes. Its missing the body
@@ngovandang1997 The missing mesh error only affects the first model. That is to say, your G8 model. Check that you have excluded things like teeth and eyes using the subset node.
@@Shinteo5hello again, Im getting error of "geometry did not match" on trying to import obj with morph loader pro, any ideas why? Searching daz forum didnt help, their answers only for Maya not Blender
@@ngovandang1997 That means that you have changed or altered something about your mesh. Daz requires that the mesh be completely identical. The shape can change, but the vertex count and number of polygons must remain the same.
Your tutorial is great. Can you do a tutorial on importing hair with bones into DAZ
I'll keep an eye out for a suitable mesh to do so. In the meantime, you can check the MLP pony tutorial. It's a little long, but there is a section where I import her hair there. The steps are basically the same.
For some reason my wrap3 (latest version) freezes permanently after I make marks using the new method. I mark ears, eyes, nose without frequent problems, and then it starts freezing every time I click on the spline node for g8f geometry. The body is impossible at all, as soon as I lower the camera below the face, then no chance to mark anything at all, because it freezes and won't unfreeze. The old dots method works fine but the new one is better and more accurate.
I don't have this issue, so I don't have a solution for this, sorry. Perhaps check with the creator of the program?
@@Shinteo5 Not rly sure, but it might be the G8.1F mesh, which I use 2x subdivided in high res (because the base one with 0 subdivs is too low-poly and doesn't wrap all the fine facial details and shapes, for example). After wrapping, I unsubdivide it before exporting. Dunno if it can work in daz with all the morphs etc. tho, I'm still fiddling with the wrapping and these are my first attempts. The old method still works fine with the hi-poly mesh.
@@Rikka_71 No, it wouldn't work. Daz requires the vertex count to be the exact same in order to be imported successfully as a morph. Changing the vertices in the model in any way will result in failure to import, or the model exploding.
@@Shinteo5 Too bad. I wanted to wrap the face shapes perfectly and import into daz, then port into blender. I'll have to find other ways and tricks to fit the shapes asap. Thanks for the answers, you saved my time, I'll try it with the base unsubdivided daz mesh then.
Ok, I tried it with the basic g8.1 low-poly mesh and the freeze problem still there, even worse. BUT, it's a bit too early to tell, I need to test, but it looks like the cause was in the model scaling at 100. I lowered it to 50 and it immediately stopped freezing. So, if someone ever has this problem, try to redusing the mesh scale.
Really love this new pointsplines method!
It's much more accurate, that's for sure.
Very Good.my master
:)
wait, what is this?
Updated tutorial for Wrap3.
Thank you Shinteo ❤

@@Shinteo5 🤩
!Kelvin!
?
Would you mind sharing your Blender export settings (especially scale) for MMD models, please? Whenever I load mine into Daz, I always have to scale them up. Thanks ^^
You can adjust base on that. For example, you have a scale of 1 on export. After importing to Daz, you need to scale up by 10x. In that case, you change your export setting to 10 on export.
Very Good.Tnak you.
Welcome.

You're welcome!
Thank you. This really helped me. I came close, but the last part you did with the replace node really solved it for me.
Glad it helped :)
is it have winter soldier model? do you accept commission, i would like to make one for winter soldier outfit if its possible.
I don't have that model. As far as I know, the extraction program was never updated, and the dlc models were not extracted, other then the few that Crazy on DeviantArt has.
@@Shinteo5alright sir, thank you for your reply.
Hello Kelvin, can you convert the Bill Foster model from Marvel Future Fight?
If the model has been ripped, yes. Commissions are currently closed though. I need to finish my existing list first before I can add to it.
@@Shinteo5 Ok awesome!
Can I use Transfer Utility to transfer G9 body morphs to G8?
No. The mesh for G9 and G8 are different, and all the morphs are not compatible. You'd need to create new morphs for them.
Thank you. I learned so much. But what about the body itself?
In this specific example, the body remains the default G8F. If you have a full body model, then the process is exactly the same. You just need more points on the body as well.
@@Shinteo5 But like most XPS models you just have the hands, feets and so on. How do you handle it?
@@radiantblog In that case, you first go to blender and shape the body as close to the figure you want as possible. Then take it to wrap and convert whichever part is visible. After that go back to blender and clean up the rest.
Have you tried the brush node in R3ds wrap? Also when can we expect the next stream?
I did. It turned out pretty useful. I haven't really thought about streaming recently, Sorry. I'll try to get a model I can complete relatively easily and stream that.
Can you post this model in mediafire please?
I don't have a mediafire account. This model is already posted on 4 different sites, with the patreon link being public, so there shouldn't be any issue getting it.
@@Shinteo5 I know it's old , but I didnt find it anywhere, I hope you can send me a link which I can download this model 🤍

Do you know if it's possible to transfer or maintain blender weights of the new head from the old one?
Possible, I think. There is a transfer weight option in Blender. However, I am not familiar with that.
Do u create the attire and model in blender and add body textures in daz?
No. I take an existing model and convert them to the daz format.

This is amazing! Thanks! But, I don't know why, my geometry selection tool started to deselect everything when I click again (for instance, I select some polygons, turn to the camera to select other part and, when I click again, it unslects what was previously selected). What did I do wrong?
Solved. I had to press control.
