where is biblical authority in the NT for using musical instruments to worship God? 9 out of 10 is still blasphemy.

Thank you - that was excellent, and presented with fairness and graciousness. The way I see it is this: If we believe that the NT is inspired, which of course we do, then we must also believe that the NT's interpretation of the OT is inspired. Therefore interpreting the OT on its own terms, without regard to the NT's interpretation, can lead us astray, especially when considering redemptive and eschatological themes that span the entire biblical timespan. However, I agree entirely that understanding the OT on its own terms is still important, and that it should add to, rather than compete with, an understanding of the NT's interpretation of the OT. The two are complementary rather than in competition. As you point out, Moses lifting up the serpent in the wilderness is an excellent example of this complementarity - a full exegesis of this OT story gives a richer meaning to John 3:14-16. But it is important to add that the OT study should never be used to circumvent or override the NT's interpretation.

John 16:2 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He [c]will take of Mine and declare it to you. So here the spirit guide us, he will speak but not on his own. he will tell us things to come what is the things to come ? the things we will live in the future that is not writting in the bible like Paul when Agabus came in the house of Philip. act 21:10 After we had been there a number of days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said, “The Holy Spirit says, ‘In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’” Where is it writing in the old testament? Church we need to live the world of God. Jesus is our theology.

Mark stated that “In Geneva, at the time, you had the Sword and the Keys *mixed* together” (19:26 time mark). But is that truly the case? I haven't done a lot of research into this, but my understanding is that the *civil* authorities of Geneva decided to impose blasphemy laws upon the citizenry, with the death penalty being the punishment for unrepentant blasphemers such as Servetus. The *ecclesiastical* authorities merely influenced and advised the *civil* authorities on the doctrinal content of God's word, but they had no part in carrying out the execution of blasphemers. It would be similar today if church leaders advised the civil authorities that God's word establishes the death penalty for murderers. If the *civil* authorities decide to implement the death penalty for murderers, that's *not* a “mixing” of the Sword and Keys.

Has anyone considered that all this discussion involves organized “religion” with their respective erroneous doctrines of which…Christ is outside of…. Are we so arrogant as to assume the world will be “christianized”? Did Christ and the disciples preach ‘Christianity’? Is Christ a Christian? It is fun to “hash” these ideas with related scripture, but…is not the message that “the Kingdom of the Heavens is near” each individual and available to all creation as God created each individual to have a relationship with Him in a “family” setting? Is not the “Church” where two or more are gathered in the name of Jesus? Positional theology is irrelevant since the truth is that Jesus is coming for each individual He has ever created to be where He is….in the “Kingdom of the Heavens” of which is our inheritance. Let’s praise our Father in Heaven for His abounding mercy and grace in our lives that He has given us the privilege to walk in.

Firstly, with due respect to North Avenue Church (Whom I know mean no ill will in defending scripture) is missing the point in Christian Mysticism (Actual Christian Mysticism.) Secondly, it seems to forget about what the point of this 'Asceticism' (That is, spiritual discipline) is for union with God. "The kingdom of heaven is like" which tells of what I like to call a 'Sheol' or what we would know as Separation from God. To climb out of this separation is to read scripture with the heart, that is, the holy ghost, changing it to be love as God is. This is what is known as 'Union with God' where we, in our hearts, are considered 'God' in the sense of being love manifest as the image of God because Christ was the image first as well as accepting everything in the world as the word of God itself (That is, he is revealed in the world itself) and crafted by the true word (Christ) as written in John 1:1-5, Romans 1:20 & Colossians 3:11 as well as Acts 3:21. I like to imagine it as climbing Jacob's Ladder as according to the mystical belief in the Ladder of divine ascent, which has 30-33 rungs depending on mystics (A reference to Christ's 30-33 years on earth) as well as the 20 mysteries of the Rosary where we are born from God who knitted us in the womb, us traveling as an icon of God, as tragedy happens we become crucified, then we are then alive with Christ in us. (This is the same of Hell, where the fires of hell are Godself because he is a consuming fire that is eternal and Christ is the worm that doesn't die as quoted in Psalm 22, the Psalm on the cross.) It is considered purifying of the soul of the self, until there is only God left (Since he created it in his image) These things are not only orthodox in the Christian belief but also are normal. The asceticism you seem to talk about is one of legalism. However, the Gospels want us to take our faith seriously. Which is why I try (and fail) to do things such as fasting on Wednesday and Friday for all souls. This is why I pray for those in hell so that they may be saved as through fire (1 Cor 3:15) As well as try to pray the Our Father 3 times a day based on the times of Christ's crucifixion. (Working on to getting 7 prayers based in the liturgy of the hours and to represent 7 x 70 as the idea of being forgiven that many times.) But more importantly, I am learning to not judge anyone but to see everyone as they are: total and utter agape. And I'll be praying for every church not in communion with the pope to one day be so (Especially yours) God bless 🥰

I apologize in advance for putting this front and center. But do you think it is time for those who are graced with God to know that Dispensationalists are not Godly and are professing a hoax. When you stand before the throne of God and he asks you "Are you a Jew?". how do you answer? Do you answer with a caveat, a footnote? a but...? a keep in mind...? or do you loudly and proudly and faithfully say "I am a Jew". Do you want God to say clearly that you are his child and chosen? It is time to stand up for God and tell the big boss anti-christs, John MacArthur, Greg Laurie, etc. that they are professing a false Gospel. Imagine yourself in front of the throne of God on judgement day....

The Hail Mary prayer is from scripture! And is the Gospel! “Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you” is angel annunciating the incarnation of Jesus to Mary.” Mary does will of God and agrees to be mother of Messiah. “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of you womb , Jesus”. Elizabeth acknowledges Mary as mother of God and savior and fruit is the salvation from the blood covenant on the crucifixion of Jesus offered to the Father to satisfy divine justice.

The Word of Promise® NKJV Audio Bible 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” 52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?” 53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven-not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” 59 These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum. 60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?” 61 When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” 66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
