Jeep YJ Soft Flop and Recovery

I had an uneventful flop and recovery on the old Bible Camp trail on the Sunshine Coast.
Ryan, I really enjoyed watching your video with night vision, keep em comin cheers my friend.
It’s sad I had the same thermal,Iray would not own up to the video downloadingupside down. I would not recommend them. They discontinued these because of issues.
Great video, and nice thermal setup! the black hot palette is my favorite too.
Dude this is bad ass
Looks like my back yard! Are you on Vancouver Island? Just north of Campbell river where you were setup?
Huge balls!
That'll keep the blood pumping
I just renovated a 72 Macgregor 22 or 24 I think. Not sure how to tell. Do I just measure tip of bow to stern?
Small sailboats r so much fun! I prefer sailing my 23’ compac over our 50’ racer/cruiser! 👍
I used to have a 21 mc greagor and i loved that boat i sailed in that in some narley weather never had any fear! great boats!
I had a MacGregor 22 went out 1 day in conditions very close to your video, well let me tell you once was enough
Dude, you handled that well.
wild man

Great little boat!
Bought a used Venture 17 that was only one year old and practically new. I was only 21 years old myself and practically new. My girlfriend and I would go on sailing-dates. Then one day we eloped and sailed to Catalina Island and got married. We stood on a hill overlooking Avalon bay. The taxi-cab driver was our witness. That honeymoon night a northeastern blew-in (a nasty local windstorm.) There were breakers rolling in the bay. I worried about our little boat, thrashing about out there on her mooring. I was going to leave the motel room to check. I decided however, it wouldn't make a very good honeymoon memory (kind-of like cheating on your wedding night.) That was back in 1975. Today we live on a 40 sailboat and have for the past 10 years. We still like to sail to Catalina but it isn't nearly as much fun as those days spent on the little Mac. The End.
Looks like a lot of fun and some big swells. Not breaking 20knots. The no a single white cap. White caps will be everywhere and you won't be sailing flat.
I'm trying to work with you here bud, but you really don't see any whitecaps?
Good on you for getting our there and testing your self. But you where nowhere near 30 knots. White caps are constant at around 25. It looked like you might have been in 15 knots. It feels like a lot more when your in a little C/B lake boat. I remember sailing in my Dad's O'day 20 CB boat in the SF bay in 20 knots and it felt like we were in the roaring 40's. Shooting off waves spray shooting over the back of the boat. Lots of fun.
Sailing in the SF Bay Area sounds pretty fun! Here's what 30 knots looks like around here: ruclips.net/video/vrjk0K9k9Co/видео.html 25 Knots: ruclips.net/video/C_VqRZC7E6o/видео.html Not my first boat BTW ; )
Great vid! I’ve got a much smaller Precision 18 with a custom hanked-on 80% jib and also added a second reef to the mainsail. Slowly been building my comfort level and pushing the boat harder…
Get it, man.
Thats pretty hard core. Curious if anything broke?
Not this time : )
40 knots my arse, that isn even near 20. Where's white white horse's? In your dreams?
Stupid in a shit boat like that…
shouldnt have been out there at all.listen to weather, lucky to be alive, just saying.
As I rookie sailor with meteor boat I absolutely love this video!!
I bet you can tighten up your group by using SK Rile Match.....and marking your yellow circle with a small dot in the center...(Smaller Point of Aim)
Next on the list!
Maybe time to close the hatches
Where are you shooting? Looks like bc
That is much better than i can do, heck, i can't see 350 yards...but i do wonder why so many folks are happy shooting targets beyond a round's ability, whereas if i can hit a rabbit or squirrel at 35 yards i'm happy...we don't shoot anything over a hundred yards or so, including our heavier calibers...my gunsmith shoots at a thousand yards, more power to him, again, I can't see that far...however, I am glad there are so many great shooters out here...
For me it's just neat. I nerd out on the variables and the focus I put into it is like meditation.
@@Vascilly337 well, I can understand that...I know there are lot of folks like you out there, and that striving to be the best you can be is what makes this country great...I have always been in the 'good enough' crowd, if i shoot an inch or two at 50 yards I feel okay...a group that huge drives you crazy, but remember, only the Lord hits the same hole on every shot...
Man look at that vertical spread. That lot of ammo sucks! But they were all hits.
I have never shot ,22 lr more than 100 mtr. I'm always amazed at how the slightest puff of wind can change the point of impact.
That's a new one for me. Sailing with parachute. Looks like it worked well.
I had a venture 22 that I sailed the living p..s out of. Great video!
👍👍👍👍
Nice shooting guy! Hope to see more videos like this. Long range shoot some cans or jugs of water, or just something else that's ridiculous, like a watermelon lol
That's great sailing in those conditions single handed! Wow!
Where is this?
Pender Harbour BC
Love this boat wish I still had mine many great hours spent in several weather conditions.
Nice ride! What the app to navigate you use?!
Navionics.
I’ve owned a Vn 23 cutter for 20 years and impressed with the weather she can take, that looked like fun!⛵️
Hint: Always Close the Hatches
It was about 25 knots and rising quickly at the start of the video when I decided to reef early. I switched the 70% jib to a storm jib and put a 2nd reef in the main. I wish I had more footage, but the camera battery died, and I wasn’t comfortable changing it single handed downwind. After the video I sailed with just the storm jib for a bit, then put a 3rd reef in the main.
Beautiful weather for a sail! Makes me wish I could take my vanguard out sailing
40+ knots?

I think way higher is the way to go , attached to the anchor rig . Also a helium filled weather balloon could insure it stays up .

Great video. Shows that even a small and light boat can handle heavy weather with the right sail plan. Loved the cry of „Holy fuck!“. 👍
I just stumbled across this video, don't understand why you don't have more views and comments. Audio could be better but amazing video! And cool sailing in not so nice conditions! I'd sail with you anyday.
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Not as wet as I would expect in that blow. She was impressive
not the kind of boat or rigging you want to overpower , standing rigging could use some adjustment !
Yeah, I bent the mast a few weeks earlier when a lower shroud came loose. I hadn't dropped the mast to straighten in out yet, and the opposite shroud still had slack in it.
