Overwatch 1 was the best game until goats almost ruined it. Well it kinda never recovered from that imo.

I finally got to finish this wonderful of a heck good story, i had fun, the ending got me good on the heart😢

They should really consider releasing an Overwatch classic like they did with WoW just to see how it does. I'll bet they'd only profit off of it. Release it as it was right after Anna came out! Being a Ball main I would like to see him added at some point but I'd settle for a patch before that if we wanted to go pre brig & bap.

haven't seen a better take , you took words out of my mouth , i have 300hours , started playing just 2-3 months ago , and i feel all the issues you brought up and continually feel punished for picking dps tracer.

This is so odd to see as someone coming back to the game after a few years and having a blast. Perhaps it feeling souless could just be due to oversaturation or nostalgia. I wont deny old overwatch was fun, but i feel like im having about the same amount of fun with the game as i did the first time i touched it. That and i grew to despise the game right before i left, only to realize now, years later, that it was me who changed, not the game. But yes, i can totally understand that feeling of emptiness, and i wont try to tell you my expirence is the same as yours. The way you feel is equally as valid as how im feeling now.

i think that if blizzard just, reverted literally everything that they did from overwatch 1 > overwatch 2, that the game would be significantly more fun, even if it is a worse product overall

I just hated when they removed one tank from the game in Overwatch 2 and made the game 5 vs 5, IT SUCKS and made the game worse and more frustrating its not fun, 5 vs 5 its garbage. Everyone in the community have been deceived by the speech of many streamers and "Overwatch experts" saying: "ohhh 5 vs 5 its better because it makes the game more dynamic and fast and better because we have less shields with just one tank, you are just being nostaligc about it and 6 vs 6 it was not better"........well thats a bunch of bullshit to me, i liked the game has it was in Overwatch 1, nobody asked for sucky 5 vs 5 we dont wanted Overwatch 2, they just needed to keep developing and adding content for Overwatch 1 they just let the game die.... We got an interesting synergy between 2 tanks in Overwatch 1 we could make more plays with 2 tanks, why we cant have that again in Overwatch 2?, removing one tank from the game was not the solution was a huge mistake, all they needed to do was rebalance and reworking some skills of the tanks not remove one tank.

This was sad to watch. I have put thousands of hours into this game and I’m frustrated with its current state

man i miss overwatch one but not just ow1 but the early days before unmatched strats and role queue when it was just playing whoever whenever, cause when i play a game i want fun, not RPS and a game that has lost its way i plan to never play this game again but at the very least ill never forget those beautiful memories it gave me.

Blizzard has now mentioned 6v6 and said it will be seasons away, that they don't want to impact low performance systems. Thoughts: - reminds me of pve - they latched on to peoples hopes, strung us along, then didnt deliver. Same thing might happen here. - lower performance systems seem to be more commom with younger players - blizzard is trying to draw in younger players over actually fixing their game. More corporate predatory behaviour

Y’all been crying about this overhyped, ‘casual’ game for years. Move on, already. Game stopped being cool after Blizzard started retconning every other character as Gay - in 2019.

What happened to final fantasy is something that could only happen in japan. A country with people that care about something over and above the bottom line. Blizzard, the company that has done nothing but “patch and tarnish” for about 20 years would never rebuild ow from the ground up. They would just add another currency and more 20 dollar skines

Ow2 have so much problems.. need so many fix and reworks that it is easy to make a new game that try to fix this deep mess. This is really sad man i used to love this game.

One thing I want to add first, is that the thing you said about the company saying "The game sucked", continued patching the game and then rebuilt a 2.0 version behind it already happened with overwatch. We are playing the result of them rebuilting the game from the ground up. While I believe many changes they've made are good, others weren't so great and made the game feel less fun in some areas. I agree that the game deserved better, and I believe that the team will now work much better since the leading parties that made the game less and less fun have mostly gone away, i don't believe it will become any perfect game, I just hope it gets better, even if without 6v6 In my opinion, both formats have their merits, but as you said, 5v5 is much more assymetrical than 6v6, making it much harder to balance. I mean, it's much much harder to balance when you have to have one gigant character that is able to tank for the team, deal damage and have fun at the same time. That's why they made tank characters so much easier, by taking away many of their weaknesses, it is hard to balance a tank without taking away their weaknesses if they are the only answer you have until they die. If hog can be taken out of his take a breather, he becomes a bad character becuase he cannot survive in a system where he has to frontline all the time. If orisa can't just be immortal when pressing shift, she just becomes ult charge to the enemy team as they will shred her. Balancing them without taking out some need for decision making will only make the character unfun, but by taking out their weaknesses, the game becomes unfun. So you're choosing between shooting your left or your right foot. I do have to say though that many people do have pink tinted glasses when looking into 6v6. 6v6 won't solve the problem, it will only be different. If people continue believing it to be the better format as if it would solve everything, making it come back will actually make the community unhappier after a week or so, because they will see the problems 6v6 had again.

Honestly just rerelease ow1 when rein zarya was meta and start from that. Better than the junk we have now

This game is the definition of wasted potential, I never watched any of the trailers before buying the Origins Edition for the PS4, and yet I was hooked. Now looking at Overwatch 2, with all the micro transactions and none existent progression, it feels like an empty husk with no reason to play.

It's literally not the same game anymore. It's a greedy F2P, 5V5 game with a ton of maps and modes missing. Overwatch died in 2019. Blizzard lost the plot.

Ive been playing since 2017 and it's not as fun as it used to be. I can't put my finger on it but I find myself getting angrier in these OW2 matches when I play, especially when playing as tank. I think it's because now there's only 1 tank, you're just a bullet sponge. Voice and chat is turned off, because although others can call me deplorable names, I say "get on the payload, idiots" and get banned for two weeks. It's a love hate relationship with its current state. I'm not sure how you had a foundation of a game of the year and somehow made it worse? I don't get game developers. Recently I'm finding myself improving as Ana, but simultaneously, I question it as there are so many noobs playing in comp and they make terrible decisions constantly. I can't get out of gold and yeah I know that's on me, but in many ways, it's also not.

Concord is unironically way better what i can say in advance from the lengthy Concord gameplay op-ed I'm writting: the win conditions in Concord are positional awareness and aim, the win conditions in Overwatch are team play and hero match up. Any comparison between Concord and Overwatch doesn't find basis in reality. Concord is by all metrics a much more involved and enjoyable experience than Overwatch. I lost count of the times I came out frustrated from a OW match because no matter how good my individual performance was I could never make up for a bad team comp. I never had that frustration in concord.

I genuinely don’t think blizzard is interested in keeping the old fans. I think they are fully invested in the battle pass and attracting a younger audience with their fresh new debit cards

In Overwatch 2 you do your best every game and you dont even know what you did wrong you are literally just doing what you should do (what everyone does) because crazy plays are not working anymore because everyone has 250+ health so you would have to play hundrets of games where the same thing happens every time to see if you derank of rank up. Its just to normal to lame to easy

Their is truth in your video, but you're wrong on the fundamental reasons IMO. For exemple, bro, if you just exist pointing in any direction with cass.... you'll won't be usefull, you'll be totally useless. You may have 12k damage, but be perfectly useless. Their is a problem here, but not the one you mention imo. And Cass had a stun, he hasn't anymore, why in your opinion is he easier or more accessible ? If you stay behind and take shots on random target (mainly the tank ofc big target 😆) never closer than 50 meter from the objectiv maximum, tou may have 15/0/3 et 10k damage... you'll be perfectly useless.

Am i the only one who also misses the sound design of OW1? I dont really care for realistic gun sounds, so when i got back to OW2 i was kinda sad about it. The sound design was something so recognizable and unique that gave it such a stylistic touch. Is it the end of the world? No. But to me, it just signified another piece of Overwatch that died .

Went from a hero based ability shooter more like a moba to just a shooter. So fucking basic

I’m a DPS main that started in OW2 and I decided to pick up tank recently. Playing as a solo tank just felt bad, as a DPS if you hav a bad game you have a second to pick up for you so you didn’t feel as pressured. As a tank, if you’re doing bad you FEEL it. You have to be good or else your team is at a huge disadvantage and I just wanted to go back to DPS

Unfortunately Overwatch is the only fps game that feels good to me and I can’t stop

Combined on PS4 and PC I have around 2500 hours on Overwatch 1 and 2. I completely forgot about the game for about 2 years until I recently remembered it exists. I loaded it up to find myself enjoying the game a lot… for about 2 matches when the counterpicking started. I played 5 games in total and decided that I’m most likely never touching this garbage ever again as I almost broke my mouse within those 5 games
