The recent coup attempt in Bangladesh refers to a situation where there were reported efforts by certain factions to destabilize or overthrow the current government. This event has raised concerns about the political stability of the country. Such attempts typically involve a small group within the military or political elite trying to seize power, often through undemocratic means.

I am curious to know what made you think to start off the first episode of your podcast series with the northeast. The guest's knowledge is profound but your question/response in between is distracting, may be since its your first that might be the reason. I am into it 20 mins, and i wanted to scream - let the guest complete an insight first. You also need to work on doing bit of homework on the topic before present it.. But thanks, through you i got introduced to a gem. All the best!

But regarding the Rukmini tribe in Arunachal mentioned by maam is wrong. I am from Aruanchal. The largest tribe in Arunachal Pradesh is the TANI tribe consist of 6 sub clan i.e APATANI, ADI, GALO, NYISHI, TAGIN AND MISHING of Assam. And it is not easy to discuss about the Entire northeast in couple of hours. The subject should be the Northeast with special reference to particular state i.e Aruanachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura and Sikkim one by one. Fhat would be better. If you mix all in one podcast it will create confusion as our Northeast is diverse in nature and in every 3 to 4 kilometres the language changes. Entire Northeast itself is a mini India. And if anyone is sharing detials about Northeast in any podcast should be specific and be true because the subject North east is sensitive. I would suggest any researchers doing reasearches in Northeast should be practical and robust with ground reality. They should not just go and blarr which are not true. As it may brings ethnic clash and disharmony among brotherhood. Its just a suggestion from a fellow Northeastern to the people watching this podcast. I appreciate the knowledge shared by Maam in this podcast as it is not easy to acquire exact knowledge about entire Northeast in such a period of time.

The Naga did not have any contact with the outside world besides the two invasion of the Ahon king in 1228 A.D and the invasion of the british in the 19th century. In 1832 British send their armed troops to Nagaland in 1832 . since then intermittent war between the british and Naga were fought up to 1879.. However, it did not mean that British conquered the whole of Nagaland because every naga village was in its own a souevreign republic and other village fought the British up to 1947. Fast forward in 1951 Plebiscite was conducted and 99% vote to remain independent. On 12 march 1952 First some Naga leaders meet with Mr. Nehru and the outcome was diffrent from what we ask because in the metting Nehru said " Whether heaven falls or India goes to pieces, I don't care , I will not allow the Naga to become independent. If blood runs red all over the country, I don't care" Just a brief History before I sate my view that is everyone talk about Northeast or Naga but never they talk about how between 1947 - shillong peace accord , we naga suffer under the rule os Army our village were burn and our women were raped but this part were always avoided. So, as a historioan or be anyone who intrestedto talk about any culture or communities we need to first studies why not how. For instance , she should talk about why did naga demand independent its not because of christianity but because we were never a part of British rule or India at first place . .

Thank you @GjhShow *Rami Desai ji* for the insightful podcast on our region. Your deep dive into our culture, ethics, and the reasons behind our disconnection with the country was both enlightening and meaningful. Your work is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to more episodes that continue to shed light on these important topics. However there is slight misconception about Christianity 38:36 - 38:45 This is a common misconception that Christians perform good deeds to earn their way into heaven. Unfortunately, even some Christians who lack proper teaching hold this belief. However, this understanding is flawed. Believers engage in charitable acts not as a means to obtain salvation but as a natural response to the salvation they have already received. Since they are saved, they strive to follow Christ’s example. Therefore, Christians do not work *for* their salvation, but *because* of it.

The religion that was mostly followed in Northeast by the Tribals during the ancient time was Animis, which was about developing a sense of kinship and respect towards the natural world, highlighting the interconnectedness of all living things. The British didn't force or manipulate us to convert, but we convert into Christianity because of the hatred and the kind of disgusting treatment we received from the Hindus around us who considered us as savage wild junglees. What to do we lived in the jungle, hunt, practice jhum cultivation and were mostly semi naked with no access to proper infrastructure and this cut away from developed hindu society who find us disgusting. However the British fight for our right, build ud schools, hospital, educate us and let us know that knowlege is power which we accepted it as it was friendly and more welcoming than the Hindus around us. Till today, we are thankful & are proud that we accept Christianity. Had we accepted Hinduism, we would have lost our indigenous tribal identity, and most of all we small tribe will become Tribal Dalit,Untouchables in the Hindu society and eventually become a low-caste slave. Look at the stark and sad differences between the Adivasis/tribal of mainland India and the Tribals of northeast India and then you'll know if we were forced to convert into Christianity or we heartfully accepted it. Suggestion to you Madam kisi bhi Dharm ka kitab us dharm ka khamiya ,galtiya yah ulterior motive ke liye study mat karna chahe Bhagvad Gita ,Quran,Guru Granth Sahib ,Tiptaka yah Bible kyunki yeh sab Holy Book hain aur Bhgawan ka jo mazaak banata hain chahe jo bhi bhagwan ho usko uski parvar yah aane waale next generation tak bhagwan ka paap lagta hian. Aapko shrap lagega bhagwana ka aur shrap karma hota hain jo bhed bhav nahi karta.

Very true my friend. Its funny to think that these sanathani thinks that we were coerced to convert, without giving an iota of thought to understand the ground reality. For non-tribals, their entire socio-cultural system is founded on religion, but not for us. We have kept our culture intact while accepting christianity, which they fail to utterly understand. We were always in abundance wrt rice and local vegetables, so the argument of “rice bag” also holds no substance to it. They fail to understand that, it was entirely spiritual decision to take up christianity.

They still came and sincerely started to work for peace among warring tribes, taught the word of God, brought modern education. 😂Even today all affluent Hindus send their kids to missionary schools not Hindu schools (for that matter we don't even have Hindu or Muslim schools except for vkv.) And I think the best thing about Christianity is that unlike us they treat each other as equals not like us treating each other as per gotra, jaat paat etc

Well karna was born to establish Dharma in the earth in which he instigating war in which all the adharmi kings were to be killed and then after completing his purpose he had to go back to Suryadev. Narada Muni himself mentions this after the war and not supporting the Pandavas does not make him adharmi. Yudhishthir and the Pandavas also did not do any good by remaining silent in dyutsabha. So in Mahabharata, everyone committed sins, it was not just karna.
