Black Mesa (the Half Life 1 mod, if you have Half Life 1 installed) brings Half Life 1 graphics into the 21st century. For Half Life 2, use "Half Life 2 Upgrade", by Source (I believe). Then, HL 2, episode 1 and HL 2, episode 2 are "new enough", so you can take it from there, and (having finished those), that will bring you up to date, with the "Where is Half Life 3 already?!" crowd, with the rest of us.

It is gold when compared to Ressurections But still, Revolutions feels stretched out and padded out.

While there is some fiction in your truth and some truth in your fiction, I think you missed a good question. After the EMP was blown in the dock why didn't they blow up the diggers with some bombs? You know, just to be sure.

Everyone is entitled to their own taste and opinions of course but if the original Star Wars from 77 was objectively trash then none of the sequels, prequels and spin offs would even exist let alone still be relevant to this day.

20mins til Dawn is great, best twin-stick shooter/survivor game I know of. And there's a big update/overhaul on the way! I set up an autofire button on my steam deck for some of the weapons.

Volgarr reminds me of one of my favorite Arcade games that I played called "Rastan" I'm Getting it!!!

Haven't played the first one (looks pretty rough), but Völgarr is great, and 20MtD is a much better take on Vampire Survivors.

Just recently played through this for the first time. Was genuinely surprised by the story, as even if the pacing was a little...wonky at the beginning, thank you ludonarrative dissonance, i liked the arc of "fratboy who becomes a killing machine." It felt realistic for Jason and makes me wish i saw it for more protagonists.

Still the best FC game for me,and Vaas,what can you tell about Vaas/Michael Mando and how of a great job he did here,and he's not even the main villain in the game

My only fave thing in this movie were poor Drew Barrymore, who is great in it, albeit briefly, of course, and Matt Lillard who is always great. He's the only one of the cast of possible killers who really puts you off the trail since he's a bit off, but he seems to be unlikely to be involved. Of course, we find out much later that that's not remotely the case. This movie also doesn't seem to realize that most of the past actual stupid slasher movies don't usually posit a dual duo of serial killer psychos. Or that was one of its "innovations," I guess. I still don't think it's that good.

Batman '66 is the reason the 1997 Batman & Robin film is the best of the later Batman movies! ;-)

He kept him hidden from the Empire for 19 years, but it wasn't until his uncle and aunt died that he decided to tell him the truth. You don't have to be a genius to figure this out. Not to mention, he had a bad relationship with his uncle, as he felt that they were keeping him from reaching his full potential. To add to this, Obi-Wan was the only person who knew about his real father (which ironically was right there in front of him).

Fun Fact: According to the critics who work at the Oscars, it was thanks to this film that the category of best animated film was added and if those awards had existed in the year it came out, it would have won the award for best animated film of the year 2000.

Good job. Even if it is satire, I enjoyed hearing a critique of Yoda and the Jedi philosophy in general. Star Wars is not a case of pure good vs pure evil. The Jedi and the rebels both leave a lot to be desired morally.

It's about time somebody said it - A New Hope isn't very good. And I didn't even know the movie by that title at all until the prequels were released. This movie was simply known as Star Wars back when I was a kid. Period. Nothing after that. It started being retroactively called A New Hope in the 2000s. But back to my point, the movie is glacially paced, and I've had more fun watching paint dry. The characterizations of good vs evil are done in a clumsy and oafish manner; even for the 1970s. The special effects are very poor, so I don't understand why the fanboys cry about updated effects in later releases of the Star Wars movies. There is absolutely nothing in the way of world building done in this movie. There is more going on in the background in any one scene of Revenge of the Sith than there is in the entire movie of A New Hope. I fully believe that A New Hope was rescued from obscurity by The Empire Strikes Back. If it had been a stand alone movie, A New Hope would have faded into obscurity like Tron or the Dark Crystal. Finally, A New Hope was a whiff of goofiness which is reminiscent of the Batman TV show from the 60s. That kind of campiness pervades the movie.
