In looking at the tear down, it appears that the flap over the stove jack may have melted. Was that the case or was it something else?

Wow! I admire your fortitude going out in a blizzard - with a new tent besides! Unfortunate that you were 'short' on the wood you hoped to have to use. I'm not sure I would have 'spent' the wood to roast the coffee beans - a great hack to make your own fresh coffee - but conditions were already challenging on this trip! I can imagine you being hungry enough to eat a horse after the hike out - you were on 'short rations' compared to some of your other videos! Looking forward to your upcoming video with your lady who is launching her own channel!

While you chose not to use the 'inner' tent - the extra layer of air between the inner and outer tents might have made it warmer inside! Great to see you out with your son again - he seems to enjoy the experience getting out on the trail with you! Great example you are setting for him!

I came for the cozshack review and fell in love with that hammock 🥰. I use a DD Frontline with a sierra madre inferno underquilt. I haven’t seen anyone’s set up as nice in Scotland

I highly recommend NOT to use those "DuraFlame" or similar on camping stove. It clogs the spark arrestor with some "dark" liquid and smoke comes back down to your stove. Please use regular hardwood as a fuel with CO2 detector for warmth and safety.

The channel like Mounds you are seeing are most likely from moles. If you're in the Cascades, there's a good possibility there made by the Townsend mole or the Coast mole. Townsend moles grew bigger, up to 9" and mostly live in the Cascades. The cost mole is smaller and usually grows up to 7" maximum. They live up and down the northern East Coast anywhere the soil the suitable for them
