Добавлен 1 дек 2010
The Killebrew Krewe consists of Dad, Mom and our twins Baker and Briggs. We created this channel to try and document the boys growing up, as a sort of memory vlog for us to look back on and enjoy with the boys. We are thrilled you find our content interesting and hope that we can provide you with funny dad jokes, heartwarming moments and maybe a few DIY projects here and there. Thanks for following!
Killebrew Krewe Newborn Photoshoot - June 2021
Picking a photographer for your newborn photo shoot can be stressful. For us, we went right to the proof of a good photographer, Instagram, and started vetting from there. Look through relevant hashtags like #newbornphotography or #newbornphotoshoot and then set your location to nearby. Find some pictures you really like and select a few photographers from their Instagram page.
Once we found some photographers that fit our style we started communicating with them to see which photographer we connected with best. For us the clear winner was alisonamick.com/. She is a twin herself and has a Goldendoodle like Samson plus she was so professional.

Просмотров 42 тыс.3 года назад
Join us as we transition the Nestig Mini Crib into the Full Crib for our boys. We will tell you what we love about this crib system. We are so excited about the boys sleeping more. This means it's time to move from the basinet into their room. The mini cribs were great for being able to move the cribs into our bedroom, the living room, or in their room. Allowed us to lay them down to sleep and ...

Chilisleep Ooler Review, is it worth the money?
Просмотров 2 тыс.3 года назад
We purchased the Chilisleep Ooler sleep system when my wife was pregnant with the twins. She was sleeping super hot and was not getting quality sleep as she was overheating. This lead to her blasting the A/C and multiple fans all night and freezing her poor husband out. Once purchased my wife and I were able to sleep better and were waking up refreshed, even with twin newborns. I review the Chi...
MRCOOL DUCTLESS MINI SPLIT DIY Review and How to Install
Просмотров 4 тыс.3 года назад
I had my MRCOOL unit cooling my shed office for about 2 months before the worst started happening. The unit couldn't keep my office cool. Eventually, I noticed the refrigerant lines were freezing, that plus an EC error code told me that I was losing refrigerant. Initially, I was super annoyed that the unit didn't last very long but after talking with a MRCOOL technician he recommended that they...
Part 2: Upgrading our Shed Office
Просмотров 9 тыс.3 года назад
After building our shed and converting that shed into an office space for me to work from home we wanted to add a few finishing touches. The first step was the 12' x 4' deck that we put in front to give us a place to brush off dirt and also give us some space to add some potted plants. We used these string light kits to hang the lights in the backyard. It was super easy to use and allowed me to...

I Converted our Backyard Shed into the PERFECT Home Office
How much did this cost?
2 Questions: 1. What's the tallest height that the mini crib goes to? I'm wondering momma will be able to bend to pick up/put down baby after giving birth. OR in your experience is a bassinet needed and the crib can come thereafter? 2. When you convert from mini to full crib can you buy another crib mattress that is not from nestig?
Hi, how many square feet is the shed, and how much did it cost you?
Save everyone else the trouble: the guy said it was 12x8 on the exterior. less than 90sqft inside
What did the electricians charge you?
FTD, did you use the original mini mat or the lullaby one?
this is nice and more realistic of what i want to do for an outdoor office….. can you give an estimated cost for the entire project? was shed needed to go on a foundation?
Very nice conversion. Easy to follow and love the set-up.
What size is this? 10x12?
Have you already assembled the toddler bed? And if so, how was that assembly?
Looks fantastic, is it still holing up well? I wonder how much the total cost was.
Does all the part for the mini crib and full crib comes together?
It does! This means you have to have a place to store the parts you aren’t using but everything is included.
Cost?
don't like the narrowed camera shot but I guess it's a nice job
Do you live in area where winter is tough? Does it handle weather okay?
I’m in a vastly different climate (Pacific Northwest) and am in the process of converting my 200sq ft Tuff Shed into an office space. The ceiling has the radiant vapor barrier like yours. Drywall and insulation contractors won’t touch the ceiling because of that vapor barrier and ventilation. Two have told me that baffles are required (which is an easy fix) but with 2x4s and the studs being 24” on center, that won’t leave much room for fiberglass insulation. The other problem I’ve learned after loads of research and talking to insulators is that insulating over the vapor barrier will 1. negate the function and efficiency of the barrier, and 2. create the perfect trap for excessive heat and moisture which eventually leads to all the problems. So, I’m curious about your ceiling insulation, are there baffles? Either way, how are you keeping the airflow between the vapor barrier and the insulation circulating? Have you noticed any issues yet now that you’re over a year in? (PS: I can’t get Tuff Shed to give me any answers about the ceiling and insulation, so any advice you have is great!!)
Does the full size crib roll easily through standard hallways and standard door frame? We would love to move the cribs easily from room to room .
The full size crib does not fit through our bedroom doors. We removed the wheels once we transitioned to full size because the kids tried to move them all the time. Wheel locks didn’t stop them.
Thank you for the response!
I thought you were about 15 and pranking us by imitating your "dad." 😂😂😂
Too many haters here. He was the General Contractor. Romulus and Remus build Rome but they didn't do any labor.
How big is this?
Hi there. Thinking about doing the same thing. Would you mind sharing the total cost of this project?
Is this the wave or mountain trim?
Wave
Did you still buy a bassinet or did you use the mini crib to roll it where you needed it? I’m trying to decide if we need a bassinet or if we just stick with the wave crib only.
We did buy a used bassinet and we are glad we did for the first month or two during night time. Don’t spend a ton of money on it though if you plan on sleep training (which we highly recommend taking cara babies) because they’ll be in their own room after a couple months. We used the wave cribs for all day time sleeping though because it was so easy to wheel them around.
@@KillebrewKrewe Great, thank you for replying back and the recommendation. I will see what I can find. :) Best wishes!❤️
Are you still happy with this office? I live in Tampa and considering doing this. Since we live so close I may even be able to use your contractors lol. How much did you spend in the end for everything? Hoping under $15k
cost?
The ginger bread shed.
Hi. I did similar with a slightly larger version of the tuff shed you're using. one thing I didn't consider was CO2 buildup inside. the mini split is a simple heat pump and doesn't bring in fresh air. so without a window open and a fan exhausting or bringing in new air I noticed CO2 can rise by 1000ppm per hour. I am looking into a permanent solution for this now. Have you ran into this problem?
I can’t say I noticed this problem. This might be a location specific solution but being in Florida it wasn’t a big deal to open a window or door for awhile. The other thing we did was fill it to the brim with indoor plants. That kept it from not smelling/feeling fresh all the time.
It's been a little while. Be honest- do you still love it?
Let’s put it this way… we just order a third for our daughter due in a month. It’s quality stuff, would recommend over and over again.
Love the videos and the Shed. Looking at doing one for myself as well. My question to you is when I go on the tuff shed site to design my shed, I can't seem to find the glass doors you have or the small windows on the back side as options, were you able to have Tuff Shed build that for you or had you redone those items prior to starting your video??
any chance ya'll would break down what you ended up getting for the nursery? the space looks great and looked like you saved a lot of space, would be curious to know what pieces and from where you landed on.
Once converted to full size crib - about how much would need to go into storage? Concerned that we only have limited space...
Do you have to order more material to build the full crib? Does it cost more?
The only thing you have to purchase is a mattress and sheets. The entire crib wood frame was included with the purchase.
@@KillebrewKrewethis was my main question so you just have spare parts with the one package so you can have a mini crib that changes to a full crib and down the line a toddler bed? You only need to buy different mattresses in between?
Thank you for sharing...really great space!
QUESTION: What are your shed's dimensions? LOVE IT!
What was the size of your shed?
What color is your shed ?
What is with the vertical cam? are you unable to turn your phone sideways?
Thank you daddy!
What color is on outside and I side of shed
What’s the dims of the shed and estimated bottom line cost?
Are you based out of FL?
Hi! Would the mini crib work well as a bassinet next to the bed for night time feedings? The mattress seems pretty deep in the crib, so I am wondering if the leaning over the edge and lifting baby out in the middle of the night will be a pain.
Yes! I just got mine & wondering the same
Absolutely can be used as a bassinet. We had a separate bassinet but that’s only because we had the twins and our bassinet was able to spin so we could get to whatever baby woke up. If we had a single baby we would have utilized the mini crib and saved the expense. Bassinet time goes by fast. Save the money and use the mini crib.
@@KillebrewKrewe What bassinet did you use? I’m expecting twins but I’m thinking I still just want to utilize this mini crib!
@@cocoo342 we utilized a second hand halo twin bassinet for the first 2/3 months before moving them to the mini cribs. Definitely not worth buying new for such a short period of time. The bassinet was helpful in that it allowed us to keep both babies next to mom, which she wanted. Really, we just didn’t have the space to be able to fit both minis in our bedroom. If we had the space we probably would have made that work.
What are the dimensions on the inside?
8x12. We had to keep it under 100 sqft for local jurisdiction rules.
Hi there, you talked about hiring an electrician, did you have someone insulate and drywall too?
We did. Had a guy come out and knock it out in one day. We could’ve done it but the speed and skill of the guy we hired was worth the cost for us.
Aye what was the round about cost of all this? Dope setup, def worth a couple grand no?
Nice work. I'm in the same process right now. What are the measures? It doesn't look squared. How did you insulated the floor?
He probably didn’t insulate the floor being in that part of Florida. Dimensions are 12x8 I think
How did you convince your 14yo son to record this playing you? He's a great actor
He’s a grown man working and supporting a family. You’re a guy trying to bully people on RUclips. Think about that.
The first night that I used it was a bad experience. I woke up and when I got out of bed, I forgot the unit was on the floor. I stepped on it, fell into my nightstand knocking my lamp to the floor (that broke). As I was turning to gain my balance, I reached out for something to grab and pulled my tv off the wall (that broke). I tried to save my tv, but threw my back out. I then fell onto the floor, ass first onto the broken bulb from the lamp. I had to get 8 stitches in my ass. Luckily, it didn't hurt when the glass when in, because my ass was still numb from the ChiliSleep. Other than that, it's a great product!
You look like you’re twelve and you started this video “hey boys” and I had no idea who you were talking to or why. Very weird intro. Once you got to the conversion I really appreciated all the additional info that you gave. You gave so so much info that people gloss over and as someone who is about to do all of this myself I really appreciate that.
When we initially filmed this video, we didn’t really expect it to get the traction it did. We really posted it as a personal way to store a memory and tell a story to our soon to be twin boys later in their life how Dad got his office. If you look at our channel, you’ll see that was its original intent. That being said I’m glad you got value out of this video! It’s our first RUclips video and we learned a ton about video editing and I think each video we’ve put out since has gotten even better in quality. Thanks for watching and the kind words!
