I visited Ioannina about a month ago and just loved it, a very picturesque town by a beautiful lake and lots of good restaurants as well. ONE IMPORTANT THING, however, and that is if you plan on taking a bus there from anywhere in Albania, just know that there are NO BUSES to take you back!!! IDK what the problem is but there weren't even buses from Ioannina to the border of Albania, not sure if Greeks just don't like Albanians, lol, but that made for a costly return trip as I had to take a taxi to the border and then another taxi to Vlore (where I'm currently staying). So while you can pay just 20 euros to get from Vlore to Ioannina, it'll cost you 150 euros to get back, smh, and is a great example of the old saying, "You can't get there from here" ;?D

Along with all the ancient sites and monuments, this is one of the places I absolutely have to see when I visit Greece. I'm an Ashkenazi Jew myself but, a few years ago, I discovered the Romaniote Jews and their roots in Ioannina. I'm not sure how much is left after World War Two, but I'm still curious to see this beautiful city. Greetings from Los Angeles, California!

Increible,soy Ing° Boliviano radicado en el Brasil, veo como siempre parece que la ciudad no tubiese una Prefectura o sea la que deveria solucionar los problemas de deteriorizacion,todo gast o quiebra con su uso mas tambien cabe reparos y esto parece que no es habito, quien diria estamos hablando de La Paz luego estamo hablando de la Capital Gobernamental del pais. Yo no consigo entender como no tenemos la minima condicion de consertar lo que esta gasto o mismo quebrado o extremamente debilitado,todos pasan por cima y nadie hace el levantamiento o mismo se preucupa la pregunta que no quiere callar somos el centro de la Bolivianidad y vivimos asi pasamos por encima y nadie toma para si la responsabilidad,la pregunta que no quiere callar debemos continuar en ese ritmo apenas de usar y no reparar donde llegaremos asi con tamaño deterioro,no es posible tenemos en la Prefectura gente que tenga uso de razon?! donde llegaremos asi por ser capital nos visitan un millar de personas tengo la impresion que deben pensar que somos gente de otro mundo que por ser descendientes del Imperion Inca somos INDIOS, francamente como Boliviano siento Verguenza asi no es posible vivir se trata de la Capital del Gobierno y nada pasa... apenas usar y abusar y no reparar,donde llegaremos asi con tamaño deterioro,no es posible tenemos en la Prefectura gente que tenga competencia suficiente o mismo uso de razon?
