Forgot to mention that the 192, 201, 202, 203 and 205 bus routes departed from a different bus stop - from Chorlton Street - during the works. The 219, 220 and 221 routes used stop EX outside Tesco on London Road. Replacement bus services were in operation between Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly, but since it's a five-minute walk away (also step-free walk), I assume that not many people used ...
How long is this going to take
The works finished on the 9th July
Looking at traffic congestion issues that in some cases do impact on both trams and buses, I really do feel that if you live less than 50 miles from any city centre where public transport provision is deemed to be sufficient beyond a certain level, you really don’t need a car, including an EV, therefore private cars (even taxis) don’t need to be travelling within a designated exclusion zone 50 mile radius from city centres, therefore any postcode within that exclusion zone will have a total and outright ban on private cars and EV’s both in terms of road tax, MoT’s, insurance, vehicle ownership/registration and even driver licensing and that public transport, walking and cycling will be the only available travel options
The 4 month disruption at Victoria wasn’t helped by over complicated track layout
