2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Radiator Removal
Step 1. Throw torque to yield fasteners in the garbage.
Thats actually smart if you aren't able to replace the bolts, but be advised that this wont work on some engines that use torque to yield bolts that stretch and only can be used once. Some standard bolts which aren't intended to stretch can be used more than once but its generally not advised as the threads can still stretch and cause problems.
All head bolts should be replaced. And you are correct
That's how you get views lol and same as all of them
I like to have some interactive post 😂
Great videos. Thank you. For the DIY that doesn’t have AC tools, what would you recommend? Will a repair shop evac before and fill after for a DIYer? You also noted you’re in the Volunteer State, me too. Have had a couple high quotes from shops for this repair, high in my opinion. Any chance you could direct me to your shop if you’re in the mid state? Thank you, sir!
You can email me @ mechanic.brianjw@gmail.com
They don't make it easy for the DIY GUY TODAY
Hey man radiator hoses are pretty much sucked in on themselves and ive noticed oil in the coolant you think that is oil cooler as well? (I replaced the head gasket recently)
Need to check for air in cooling system or a bad thermostat
@ update yeah oil cooler gasket has gone to hell.
Will this cause you to loose coolant as well from the oil cooler going bad?
Normally no, not when they leak internally like this one did. If it was getting into the cylinders yes, or if you had a external leak.
@ I think I found the problem when I run my Heater in my car now I know I loose coolant …Dumb mechanic who fixed my oil leak in valve cover said your head might be going out false …Ever since I didn’t turn my heater or defroster on in my Chevy sonic no coolant lost smh …I think my heater coil hose is going out smh..I don’t have a blown head gasket he just wanted it to blown so he could fix it smh scam mobile mechanics
Cut both new and old lines and use a rubber hose to connect.
Lack of oil
How was it acting before you fixed it and did it have a weird clicking sound before you fixed it?
No it didn't, just a misfire
I have the same car and engine same pay with same issues. Did timing twice , pulling transmission is faster than engine.
This ended up being 5/6 wires crossed. I prefer to pull the engine, but heard you can do it with transmission out.
I have never seen a cam with extra loves like that ...😊
Faulty vw pvc ……🤷♀️
Cam look like it melted
Did I work I need to know I have one with the same problem
It did
I'd rather pull the seats
Rocker is off place
The engines took it apart that's it🤷♂️
Engines taken apart thats it
Its missing a valvecover
Tsi engine doing tsi things like jumping timing forcing rockers oout of position
On point
@@repair_tech_brian5388 did any cam lobes spin they can do that from "time to time"
Its extremely difficult to tell. Maybe it ain't got no gas in it.
You're probably right
I like that cam lock tool
Makes life a lot easier.
You do not have to pull motor to check timing chain timing.
Thanks for the help straight to the point
I changed the all the seals from the oil cooler, also changed the timing belt cover gasket and it stopped leaking the oil into the radiator reservoir but it started again after a month. Could it be that the oil cooler itself is bad or bad head gasket at this point?
Could be the oil cooler itself. Head gasket when your oil gets milky on the dip stick.
Also if it's smoking out the exhaust, both a good indicators . You can do a block test and see if you have exhaust fumes in the coolant . Most auto parts stores have them on loaner tools.
An HOUR? That’s how long it takes just to get the crank bolt off. :)
Hi, which brand timing chain did you get and how did it work out?
Cloyes and it's doing great.
Those engines seem to do OK if they have regular maintenance. But when they don't, they're a disaster.
Yes, almost every ford 4.0 has the timing issue due to lack of maintenance.
Nope, far from it😂😂😂😂😂.
Displacement...
Yh mine was stuck stuck nothing worked not even a pulley removal tool got pissed off and brought complete side 😂
Now in that case , big hammer and new cv.
@ yh did that still nothing so just brought complete side even tried on a press nothing still have no clue to this day lol
Didn't show how you got the four on back out .
All my rockers move.Do they just sit there and get pressure when the lob pushes it?
Did it jump time?
@repair_tech_brian5388 yes
@@santosmercado6422 they should not have movement
Made to Last Try getting that out of a belt
Or a newer timing chain. Definitely won't happen.
Take a link 🔗 out of it 😊
it will throw timing off
Tighten the chain 🔗 it's loose 😊
A pregnant man fed me his dessert
How does it feel to have it that torn down and yet the chain is still factory fresh the tension on that chain is off the charts man it's practically brand new
For it to be original, goes to show how they used to build things to last.
Lost the timing
It did
It's had the crank
What if the white piece is missing?
I need to disconnect that on my 96 Ranger, and the tool isn't going to help because the white ring is missing. I did see a video from Every Day I Race in which he made a new ring from a spray can kid. Might give it a try.
@rlmccoy252 ignore my last comment, I didn't check the video. Not every ranger has that. Some have a different clutch line set up. Remember those systems are a pain to bleed. I recommend replacing with a pre bled system.
One wrong cam solenoid
Broken valve cover bolts.
I usually buy pretty much everything I can from icon, but when it comes to chrome sockets I buy tekton due to no-skip sizes
I have broken a few valble cover bolts. Please guys hand tighten this. Dont even use the torque wrench. Ive broke some that way too 😂😂
Is there a lock (retainer) Washer behind the idler pulley on the 2022 vehicle? I know it is emphasized in older models, but unsure for 2022.
What did you find out to be the problem? My 1994 Toyota pickup rear brakes make a hollow dragging noise when I’m slowing down , I can not find any info
I replaced shoes and hardware kit, adjuster was bad
Core plugs .
First that motor is thee biggest pos ever built. S3cond who paints the valve covers and intake when the reat of the motor is str8 shit. 3rd wtf.?
First, the 351 is a great engine, second it's what the customer wanted and 3rd its not yours
