Review of Super Powers action figures, accessories, and vehicles. This includes classic Kenner figures, new figures from McFarlane Toys, and reviews of custom SP action figures.
Review #57: Jokermobile Custom Super Powers Vehicle by Javier Garcia
The Jokermobile was showcased in the mini comics included with the original Kenner Super Powers figures in 1984. Well, this vehicle appeared to make it to the design stage, one was never created for the line.
Javier Garcia designed a 3D printable version that masterfully replicates the stunning vehicle, while also taking a few liberties that improve upon the original design. It includes an opening cockpit with seats and steering wheel, an opening back hatch with an attachable weapon, and rotating wheels.

Review #56: Batcopter Custom Super Powers Vehicle by Javier Garcia
Просмотров 67914 дней назад
While a Batcopter was created for the original Kenner superpowers line, I was disappointed that it did not resemble the awesome looking helicopter from the Super Friends. This four seater designed by Javier Garcia perfectly replicates the original cartoon version, and even includes a bench for the two additional characters in the back. There is also a lower hatch to facilitate midair rescues. T...

Review #54: Dark Knight Returns Armored Batman Custom Super Powers Action Figure from Javier Garcia
Просмотров 4474 месяца назад
The armored Batman from the Dark Knight Returns there something I always dreamed about having in the original Kenner Super Powers line. Master frilly made by Javier Garcia, the figure was printed in highly durable flex resin. it also has articulated knees. The figure was fun to paint, and after adding the Batman cape from McFarlane wave one, you have an action figure dream come true. Link to Ja...

These are great! Typed in “elemental firestorm action figure” and was pleasantly surprised to be led to this video. The paint job’s amazing, most especially on firestorm. I remember I used to hate the elemental direction the firestorm book took because I love the original design so much but now I have a soft spot for this design. I remember his eye color on the comic changes so much.
Cheers from New Zealand
This is brilliant
Great Batcopter! Overall great shape and look to it. Wish the Kenner one could at least fit two figures.
@@AVeg-f2k yeah. I hated that.
That is awesome! I remember seeing that car in the comics and expecting it to be made too. Would’ve loved to have gotten that back in the day. Maybe McFarlane will do a Joker/Jokermobile 2-pack in the future of his Super Powers line.
@@AVeg-f2k I hope so!
As I’m watching some of your videos I’m noticing the cool custom painted Hall of Justice. Do you have a video on that particular piece? I’d love to see an in depth look. Or have I just not watched the video it’s in yet?
Love it!
😂 Maybe the nostrils could be the headlights.
@@nedflanders8968 good call
Right as I was about to comment and ask if that cape was wired, you confirmed. Would have never guessed that was a Kilmer head with a McFarlane Flash sculpt. Roan really made that his own. So Good!
@@JustBSingProductions it’s unreal!
Digging that a lot! I kinda like the roof coming up separately from the windshield, myself. Probably a little more true to life for a sports car type set up. As true to life as a giant purple car with a smiling face on the front could be, I guess…😂 Looks like you could use a nice Harley Quinn custom to put in that passenger seat!
@@JustBSingProductions yeah, I definitely need to add a Harley Quinn in the near future.
Javier is awesome! This turned out great. Love that it can fit extra figures, and the hatch is a nice touch. Great video, my friend!
@@JustBSingProductions thanks so much, my friend!
I kinda dig the jumpsuit version here. A lot of good texture and detail. This is a great figure my man!
Mcfarlane needs you.
I hope we get a re do of Wonder Woman properly based on comic. Other than that I have 3 vintage Wonder Women. Nice review.
Love this cape! really brings it home
I don't want to be negative, but to tell you the truth, I'm 48 years old. I grew up with kenner Superpowers line we were children back "84" we knew nothing about scale figures and Articulation we just was happy to have superpowers figures and play with at school 🏫 Resess time with our friends in school and show and tell now that we are older I ask you does it really matter about scale 🤷 I mean really what's more important having are children Resurrected again 💁♂️ let's just enjoy the moment remember we only live once thank you for your time
Very cool product and video; thanms for making it. Glad to see such passion and work on this line, but I am jealous there's not really anything done customwise even with the Pocket Heroes line but I do get it.
hi, if i subscribe do i get an action figure,.......marius(punk rules).
Truly Awesome!
You did a great job
@@SonofJeddah thanks!
@@superpowersreviews my pleasure
Arg!! That Superman scale is so frustrating. So close to correct but all these little things that mess it up, that would be easy to get right.. Why is McFarlane so lazy???
Agree all around Rob - love the figures, this is a great wave and it looks so beautiful all set up together in package… when you open them up that scale problem becomes apparent, which is too bad because I really like the new Superman sculpt and paint. Not affecting me buying the line at all but it would be so nice if they keep making their own problems with little errors like scaling.
When they do female figures again eventually lol,I hope they do attractive head sculpts, not too retro in the sense they look that Wonder Woman. These are a vast improvement.
Bizarro and The Riddler are welcome additions to the line. I hope McFarlane keeps releasing the Legion of Doom members in this line.
Hey noticed that riddler kept falling over i found that super7 reaction figure stands work great with this line if you need some stands. Great review by the way
@@mikeellis4474 thanks. That’s a good suggestion. I’ve used the McFarlane 7 inch stands in the past, but I was just trying to do something quick and easy this time.
An interesting provisional overview. I'd like to offer some constructive criticism though - your reviews would improve with a stable camera arrangement as opposed to the handheld approach!
@@penmanovicxxxxxx2694 thanks. I totally agree. I was just trying to do something quick and easy. I’ll work on that for future reviews.
Swap Bizarro legs with the new Superman’s, problem solved ! 👍🏾
Very happy the "\S/" on Bizarro is backwards!
Why is Superman cosplaying as The Riddler?😅
@@Ultriac301 it's Green Lantern.
They need some more females. Where’s Batgirl, Supergirl, Black Canary, Catwoman etc?
@@TrevorToonArt agree 1000%!!
The only woman they believe in is Wonder Woman, apparently. They wouldn’t even make a Hawkgirl for the upcoming Superman movie wave of Super Powers figures.
So my daughter had a Barbie dream house that had a rotating big screen tv that was basically an empty shell where you could slide your cell phone in after starting a Barbie cartoon on Netflix, and my daughter was soon watching Barbie movies with her Barbie dolls in the Barbie Dream house. A troubalert made for a cell phone would be great if someone would make one.
@@CaptainFunGuy great idea!
Thanks for your excellent review! Hope to watch soon the review of WW and Aquaman variant figures in this wave. A question: it looks like Bizarro is smaller than Superman. Is it an optical effect of the angle? Thanks!
@@gygor7517 Same body. The height of his head is just a hair smaller.
They're selling out online. Must not be doing too bad.
@@michaeledgell8789 I’m hopeful that’s indicative of success.
They're selling out online and in stores. All the repaints they save a lot of money or make a lot of money on them because they use the same body just different paint. Another thing is that they're selling superpowers figures in online stores in México and they sell a lot and in countries in South America too. McFarlane makes a lot of money
Very glad McFarlane took the time to flip the S's on Bizarro. Things are looking better with this line for sure. Glad McFarlane is addressing these problems and keeps working towards a better product.
IMO, best wave yet
Superman has a new mold? Looks like he's Batman height, more similar to Kenner scale.
@@miguelpastor6808 way bigger than Batman. Too big.
The scale problem maybe another homage to the original line.
@@morenmb there were a few scale issues, but they did attempt to get relative scale right in many cases.
You have no clue what you are saying. Where was there a scale problem?
Great review. I haven’t been as hung up on the scaling but this one definitely sticks out more than usual, especially with Superman & Batman who are the foundation of the line and it’s now tough to ignore… the Bulkiness of Riddler is frustrating … as everyone said, why not keep it a straight repaint of GL Keeping true to the Homage. Independently they look sharp, looking forward to the JSA 3 pack. Based on videos Gold WW looks like the best gold figure to date plus a lasso!!!! Aquaman is better than wave 4, but still disappointing and the laziest repaint to date in my view.
Yeah, a straight up repaint of GL for the Riddler would have been the best approach. I’m looking forward to the others, as well. And the next wave that just got revealed at NYC looks great. Fingers crossed on a couple of possible scale issues.
Yeah, that scaling is a major problem for this line - it's a shame as I love Super Powers! I hope it's not true that it's struggling... from my experience as a UK collector, these guys are not easy to get hold of, so it doesn't seem like it is to me , but we don't get them at retail (the first wave only was available in shops).
@@dazblue5515 i’m with you. I want them to succeed. I hope there is enough interest that the line can overcome a few of its mistakes. The potential is there.
Scale IS important.!! I hope it gets corrected.!! Thanks for the Review.!!
Great review I like all of them. I will be getting my on Monday
I'm with you. The scale sizes upset me. I own every original Kenner Super Powers figures including the Super Amigos Riddler. I only buy McFarlane figures of the ones that were never made. Maybe I'd buy the others if they would get the correct scale size down. It really is a problem. They look silly standing side by side.
Great review of the core 4 of the wave. Fair assessment of the scale issues, but man, they do look nice! Looking forward to getting the full wave this week! Oh, and love you back, buddy!
Just spitballing a bit here, McFarlane has not added lanterns to the last few Green lanterns they have put out. If McFarlane was to do a mail in giveaway for a free lantern when a customer sends in proof of purchase barcode, would this be something viable the company could do? What are your thoughts on this?
@@mtgamateurnight I think it would be a fun throwback to the mailaway campaigns Kenner used to run. But I think a future accessory pack is a more likely scenario.
Great Cape Colour Match- I bought one without a cape years ago & got a Cape from the Cape Master but it was several shades lighter than it should have been- it looked like a faded vintage cape. I asked for a refund, I got it but then he Blocked me from buying from his store- even though I had bought other capes as well with no issues or complaints.
Beautiful. I love the New Macfarlane version too. My original was thrown on the roof of the toilet block of my primary school by a bully & despite making my Father Drag a full ladder up to the school to get on the roof to find it. We never did.
i've never thought about cutting-up an old Robin figure. justifies reuse of a broken toy, now
JLI was FUN!
i had the DCD of this. i hate 6-7" figures. I love this look on her and the Zatanna by Perez
