I brought the items with me and kept in the locker. During each break I had access to the locker.

Spot on. I used to be one of those students. All the pages and pages of asthetic notes I made, I'd revisit them and they'd look like foreign material. As soon as I hit the more challenging terms, I stopped taking notes because 1) It wasn't useful in the long run and 2) It is really time consuming. I have shifted over into "blurt notes" where I just write as much as I can recall about any given topic; or sometimes i just talk it out.
Thanks for your guidance. I have a question.. for each block of step1 exam out of 7 blocks, is it specific to a particular topic/discipline OR questions in each block is mixed covering all topic questions in each block. thanks

Is there any time limit to schedule test date after getting scheduling permit ?
You can schedule it any time, before or even during the triad. It is preferred to do it beforehand because prometric centers can become busy
