These videos are super helpful for me to get an insight of what to expect. I already have my portal set up with WGU and passed my hesi however I still have about 10 prereqs to do. I am choosing to do them on Sophia to try to get through them quicker but it still takes quite a bit to get through them. I can’t wait to start WGU!

Congrats on everything and I really appreciate your videos. Hoping you can give me some guidance. I have heard a lot of different info on clinicals 1. Is there a way to see where the lab and clinical locations are in your area 2. Ho many days a week is clinicals? I would love to see a video even if it’s short just showing what and example schedule for the semester is like. 3. Someone in a facebook group said they have to go find places to do clinicals WGU did not assign them to a location. Have you heard of this or have any experience with a situation like this? Can you exhilarate the last four terms which are the labs and clinical?

Does the 60 hours include the clinicals for all of the classes requiring clinical rotations? Or is it 60 hours per course?

Thank you for sharing 😊. I’ve been back and forth about what I wanted to go back to school for. Nursing has been in the forefront but because of the rigidity of all the programs I’ve gotten discouraged. I got accepted into WGU for another program. I may talk to my advisor about switching.

I've been considering attending WGU possibly because I am also a working wife and mother, plus in the military and its hard to be able to go to school full time the traditional sit down in college way. Thank you for these videos! I just started my term 3, and I’ve just applied to a few pct & nurse extern positions in my area. I don’t have any direct patient care experience, so I’m hoping to get one of these prn positions for experience and to build confidence around patients. I would also 10000% choose WGU again over any other nursing program! I’m able to keep my full time job, study when needed, and not study when I don’t want to. I also use outside sources (sherpath doesn’t do it for me lol). Hearing your progress and success is really needed when there is a negative narrative about nursing school that it is nearly impossible to complete with your sanity. I can say, I am not having ANY of that experience with WGU, and I’m so thankful! Wishing you continued success on your BSN journey!!🎉
