For any game on your Meta headset, if you go to the Apps page and click on the three dots in the top right corner of the picture for that game it will bring up a menu and you can check for updates. @DawnofJets is an Early Access game, so not everything is ironed out or implemented yet, but the Devs have been incredibly responsive to everyone that reaches out. As to the weapon switches, while they do function if you manually toggle them, your guns are always hot and your secondary is turned on by hitting the B button and deployed using the A button.

Hasn't come out yet, though the in-game leaderboards for the Challenges add bragging rights (my crew is constantly trying to one-up eachother).

It appears he is entirely averse to VR. He would play console games with us, but hasn't been on his system in years. My dad was Naval Aviation, calling him a sailor might not go over too well haha.

If you don't mind, what would you consider buggy about the game? (I ask because the developers do read through the comments and might have info for you) Lighting in the cockpit is adjusted in the cockpit. Hit the "Help" switch to locate the "Lighting" knob.

@ I’ve brought these up with the devs and they’ve acknowledged them but some issues I’ve seen are: Hands being offset in every jet for throttle, levers, yoke AA randomly just f*cking obliterating you, as in even when you’re behind a hill their AA fire morphs through it and a estimate for how many explosions there is per second regardless of altitude is probably 3 Missions not giving any stars or credit after completion

It is hard to compare gunship and jets. Gunship has a large amount of aircraft, but the game play is a whole lot different from Warplanes and Dawn of Jets. If you love Warplanes, you will thoroughly enjoy Jets. And, Dawn of Jets will continue to grow... It is still an Early Access game, even though it has a huge amount of content. Check through the comments of the shakedowns, Dawn of Jets was nice enough to link a discount code in one of them!

There is a lighting knob in each cockpit that you can adjust. It resets after each mission, but if you flip the "help" switch you will be able to locate the lighting knob and adjust it to your preference.

@@CamostrikerGaming Yes, I know that. The problem is that my cockpit is pitch black and I have to grope around to try and find it while in the air. This is a simulator programing boo-boo! This should have been addressed before the sim was put on the market. Thanks for you help!

I didn't wipe anyone's comments, that goes against my beliefs. As I stated previously, footage of missions would be after I finished off the Shakedowns.

It's a lot easier to get the Tier 1 and 2 jets fully equipped after five or six missions, however, you can also rack up "cash" competing in the Challenges. Tier 3 jets take a while due to the high cost of the planes and upgrades, but if you knock the missions out for the preceding jet you should be good to go for the next one.

Yeah, there are lots of NPCs to fight. There are enemy aircraft, ground vehicles that shoot at you, turrets, enemy ships, and more (all of varying difficulty and design)! You should try it!

I'm merely going through the training exercises with these Shakedowns. Dogfighting is a whole different beast in these jets, especially if you're experience is in prop driven aircraft. For now I am showcasing the planes. Missions and dogfighting challenges will come at a later date.

So, there are already missions of dogfights or they will be in next updates ?

@@TheAvimagthere are already plenty of missions with dog fights! A lot of them are in those 3 star missions, others are in the challenge missions

Honestly? I didn't think to consider the difference in the training... I tend to focus on the flying, especially after all the hours I have in Gunship Sequel. I will say that stalls are unnerving in these jets, they just slide sideways toward the Earth until you can get the nose down.

For the privacy at the very least, having callsigns would go a long way. I want to see this game succeed, you've done such a great job.

I have not featured the pinnacle of Korean War jet aviation yet. I have also not featured the WW2 jets (besides the F-80C) as of yet, but i can tell you there is a huge difference in performance, as there should be. Dawn of Jets focuses on the initial jet age, which is great because its been a missing part of gaming. In these jets you are still dog fighting, and missiles haven't been invented yet.

Any in particular you would like me to focus on? I spend a lot of time flying the career to make the money for the other planes, though I've got an okay time in first Jungle Dash with my Sabre.

@@CamostrikerGaming I think I'm between the Sabre and the MiG and would love to see how they maneuver! The Fury is quite expensive!

Top time in the Jungle Dash 1 is set in a Fury... I've been listening to the person who set it try to beat it for days. I'll get some footage running Jungle Dash in the Sabre (I've already got it) when I post the Shakedown for it.

It is very enjoyable... until the flak starts popping. I "flown" though a lot of flak, especially in my B-17, but it is a much more intense experience, and much more accurate, in Dawn of Jets.

I'll get on that this week. I recorded my flights in the F-80, but they were embarrassing since I hadn't gotten the used to the plane or game mechanics. I wanna run through the different jets, introducing them with shakedowns first, but that might take way too long hahaha.

Is it possible to use a flighstick via USB port or only the stick on the quest controller?

I am not sure, I generally use the controllers and grab the stick/throttle. I've heard that using the joysticks instead of "physically" controlling the plane is much more responsive, but that is counter to my programming.

@@muellerforte It is possible that some devices will "just work", but we will be looking into this soon. Personally, I feel the "virtual stick" has way more precision because you have about 24" of throw compared to a flight stick with maybe 6" of throw. Which device(s) do you use?

Different is good, and thankfully yous have filled a huge hole in aviation VR on the Meta platforms. I'm enjoying the game, and look forward to finding out what Multiplayer brings!

Because we are such a small company, we want to kinda figure out what a best "minimum viable multiplayer" release would be so we can get something out there for people to try out before embarking on more sophisticated release with multiple game modes, etc.
