I consider c5s3 to have added 2 biomes, the dune area and the weird grass/sand wasteland. Also paridise palms for me seems to be closer to a minrcraft badlands biome

Mario kart is mostly skill based it only becomes massively luck based if you use the wrong strategy for a track like bagging on n64 rainbow road or trying to frontrun dry dry desert or cheese land still like the content Fun fact bloopers reduce your traction to 0 so slipping can happen even on non slippery tracks and on slippery ones like neo bowser city its honestly just a good idea to turn on smart steering Also ill throw my hat in the ring and say my contention worst kart combo which is lemmy, master cycle, hot monster, and waddlewing glider and this combo has medium low mini turbo and low speed which are by far the most important stats with your morton combo you can make big come backs with your high speed My favorite combo is inkling boy, mr scooty, rollers, paper glider since it has 19 out of the max 20 mini turbo and 5 ground speed and the reason i use inkling over yoshi is because i dont want to use yoshi and i get a bit extra weight and water speed but less traction Also MASSIVE TIP TO EVERYONE COINS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT

I think Nintendo should avoid making direct sequels to both Mario Kart 8 and Smash Brothers. They are both the final culmination of each of those designs. Ultimate really is Wii U/3DS with the full roster of characters and stages. 8 was just 7 but with anti-grav, return of bikes and a bigger roster. And then the Deluxe repackage was just adding the full roster of characters and stages. Any direct followup will be a disappointment by virtue of lack of content alone. They should take both games in a different direction for the next game in each franchise. Maybe a sequel to Double Dash built further off the team mechanic or a Super Dash Bros or something that isn’t just 8-12 Mario characters in go-karts and bikes throwing shells for 3 laps. Same for Smash; the next one should be 3D more like power stone 2 or maybe full on pro wrestling style design. Then you can make a more faithful followup after that that will feel fresh by virtue of having plenty of time since Ultimate and Deluxe.
