5 Axis cnc machining BONESAW!!!
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.3 года назад
A two minute journey from an idea in my head, to pixels on the screen. Then what it looks like to carve those pixels out of a solid block of metal using the most sophisticated software and machinery on the planet! Software is Solidworks, Gibbscam, Camtasia and Davinci Resolve. Hardware includes Blackmagic pocket pro cinema 4k, Gopro Hero 9, Sony RX10, and a Haas UMC750.
5 axis CNC Machining Mark 6 Hoverboard

Open source project, all models available on grabcad under my name. Follow me on instagram if you'd like to see project progress. Simultaneous multiaxis CNC machining the jet engine mounts and fuel delivery core of the Mark 6 jetpack jetboard. I'm currently on a new revision of jetpack (Mark 7), however this one is complete and fully functional with over 1,200 newtons of thrust. Song is called ...

CAD Design of Skeleton Key Snowboard Binding

Cad design of skeleton key snowboard binding I designed. I made them as well but don't have a video for it. They ride great for big mountain, very stiff and responsive. A little too stiff for the park. Software is solidworks, designed by me. Song is Move to the Ocean by Brick Mortar (Baauer Remix)

Mark 6 Jetpack Presentation

This model is available on Grabcad.com under "mark 6 jetpack jetboard." I fully created the design and machined as shown in later videos. It was never flown as the jet engines were not reliable enough in the vertical orientation for safe human flight (they were designed to be operated horizontally and would flame out from fueling issues).
This guys looks like elon musk.
Nice body, where can I buy one??
Badass brother!! Looking good

this is just like someone that knows everything about their car...its always a joy to watch someone that you call a master at work
Can you be my instructor? Please. I do positional 5 axis, I wish I could nail at least 1 true 5 axis program like these.
Never new cnc was so dramatic. HIIIIGHLANDER!!!! On a serious note, cool machine and nice filming/editing!
That is one amazing machine
looking at both of these machines for our shop... how is the Z height with the VF6 and 310 combo?
Z height clearance with the VF6 and 310 is not good. I would go with a UMC750 over this combo, but it will not be as rigid as the VF6/310. You can cut hard metals on a UMC750 with lighter cuts. I would avoid the VF6/310, haha but if you like to live dangerously it will do a pretty good job.
@@JordanHart5Axis thanks a ton for the heads up!
@@layinrockers10 No prob!
@@JordanHart5Axis we are looking at the 750 now... whats the biggest part you put on it? they are worried about work envelope.
@@layinrockers10 I'm not sure exactly what the biggest part I've put on a 750 is in inches, but I've worked up to the edges of the travel. It's got a really nice work envelope. One thing I would note on the 750 is that the X travel is not centered on the table, so if you're going to go bigger than the table you might not be able to machine around X+. If you're going to be machining big parts maybe the UMC1000 would be better? I've never ran it but it should be very similar to the 750, just bigger.
Dude... clean your magazine...
I almost shit myself only from watching this XD
Hi Jordan and great videos. I'm a big fan of CNC machining. Question: Are we allowed to use your videos to show others the power of CNC machining? I do not want to infringe on any copyright that you may have on them. Thanks!
No problem, feel free to. The more exposure of CNC machining the better.
Great thank you Jordan and keep up the great work!
Thats tighter then fuck!
Very cool
how do i get 1?
That is AWSOME!! one day helpfully!! Thanks for sharing!!
insane part and video. One Question: What did you do at 2:20? design the Part or was is necessary for programming
Thank you! It was for programming. I extended the vertical radii outward (to the sides) to get some overlap in the toolpath. This is for smooth cleanup on the transitions of the radii which were machined with vertical toolpath strokes, and the sides of the walls which were machined with a SWARF style toolpath. The swarf toolpath used a much larger cutter than what those small radii would allow so to get full cleanup on the finished surface while having a fast cycle time it was necessary to create these new surfaces. You can't tell in the software but this part is massive, an architectural mold made by a robotic arm.
i wanna cryyyyyy 😭😭😭

Insane skills. Beautiful work.
Where's your safety glasses?
Are you no longer producing these? I'd love to get my hands on one, but your website has been down for a few weeks.
Wow. It’s just pure excellence. Not sure what else to say.
Thanks man, I love hearing that
Price how???
Good job!
COOL!
Beautiful programming, machining and video Jordan!
Long dong strategies. Wow. Applause but that impeller had a tiny nick.
Good eyes! It was from roughing (deflection). But that wasn't bad for the first one, I fixed it for the rest. You must be a machinist!
Not me. My dad was a millwright and i went to ghetto school no place to get educated. I used to make babbitts and chase by ha d when i was 12. Built a few engines and made some stuff but. Am gonna buy a hass 5 axis as a hobby. I have some ideas lets see what happens. I have a stronger then most fundamental education from a ww2 vet old generation millwright. Us steel.
Epic
i am working on 5axis for 15yrs. so far most clean job i have ever seen.
Love how your using gibbscam instead of confusin 360
Awesomeness!

At the end of the day it's buttons all the way down.
You missed out on AR15 thread on the front of the body to allow custom handguards instead of ugly ass PE ones. Also if you make a lower that takes FirstStrike T15 mags you will sell 10x the bodies as people in most countries avoid EMF100 due to space dildo aesthetics. If you allow people to use PE engine in an AR15 body, it will sell like hotcakes.
Amazing! Your back on the attack! 💪
Sick video! Which software do you use to make the tool path??
Thanks! Gibbscam V13
Exceptional!
Great job!
As always, Jordan never disappoints! Great work!
Thanks Keith!!

Beautiful marker. How much? The website you left in PBN is not working.
Thanks Hary! $250, for some reason pbn is rerouting that traffic back to pbn. www.hartlangill.com

Thanks ML!
Really impressive video Jordan. Where can I go if I want to buy one!?

that is HOT AS HELL!!! and the endcaps go perfect with it. If you're not afraid of your marker body then gtfo!
Hahaha thanks Andrew!! It looks sharp but all the edges are broken. That was definitely the spirit of the design though. Long live YDNA!
It's perfect, even with deburred edges the constant fear of death makes you gain XP
