‘Cobrazilla’ Monster Indie Film Trailer

The trailer to my film “Cobrazilla” is finally here. This is a fun monster/adventure indie film (in the same genre as sharknado or frankenfish movies) I made entirely with my family on pretty much a zero budget. It was completely shot on my iPhone 14 pro using CamTrackAR and @skyglassapp with all the backgrounds done in Unreal Engine. We will be premiering the film late March at a local theater...

Studio One 6.5 Open Air 2 Reverb in Sound Design Context
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.Год назад
Hey everyone, in this video I try Open Air 2 on a scene from my short film "Cobrazilla" as well as go a bit through the plug in and the different presets it brings as well. This is not a thorough review, rather it's my first impressions using it and how it could work in a very basic movie sound design context. I will be making a second part with the Dolby atmos feature and Open Air 2 in action....
HOW TO USE SOUNDLY MONITOR WITH STUDIO ONE 6.5 OR ANY DAW

Hey everyone, so in my last video I had several questions on how I was seamlessly going back and forth between Soundly and Studio One while I was creating some sound design for my short film "Cobrazilla" and I thought I would create a simple video on how to use Soundly's amazing plugin called "Soundly Monitor" which allows you to monitor all of the sounds in Soundly through Studio One or any da...

Caspian Brass by Performance Samples Review
Hi sam i have the mark 1 and i want to use it for strings recording in cubase with vst instruments. I bought a expression pedal but when i connect it when i press it in with my foot it mutes the sound. How can i let it work as a expression pedal?
To be honest my ultimate wish is this type video for every genre specifically fantasy and cinematic and epic lol I know it’s greedy buts it’s a wish
Thank you! I'm actually releasing a new video similar to this next week where I do a more fantasy style composition but the video style would be more of an ASMR live composition video without me talking in it. It will just be pure music composing/orchestrating for the whole thing. Stay tuned!
Love this style of video.
Glad you enjoyed it! More to come.
Finally!!! 😅
I know sorry 😅
@@SamDiazProducer no problem, the important thing is to do (no matter what, just do it) 😊👍
thnx
wow, always those smaller channels are the most helpful ones :D
Hi, I am a beginner; I am concerning Alexis recital versus MKII; what should I buy? Thanks!
Hi Sam ..help me please I just got the Alesis Q88 MKII controller...Because I was convinced that the installation was as straightforward as it is with the Q 25... But I see that it doesn't sound..And it is necessary to waste time on their site !....Maybe they don't know that not all of us have a fast web connection....Anyway.I registered the product on your site...But everything is blocked because they force us downloading all those programs...After 3 hours..I still can't use my controllers....Let me tell you something "This way of doing things is not smart"...Now could you please tell me How should I proceed to use my controller..? I can't understand what I have to do...The indication in your manual is useless..Because it refers to the peripherals menu of my music program...But in my Cubase there is a list of controllers and synthesizers. very partial.. and the Q88 is not present... But then, why does the alesis Q25 work directly... and the Q 88 doesn't ?
What soundcard do you use?
Thank you very much for this video. It actually nice that somebody provide knowledge on how to use Sample Modeling instruments, as the authors themselves do not have much information on their YT channel.
Glad it was helpful!
Its very cheap and solid, cant wait for it to come in and play lots of c418
Hey Sam. Could you tell us what orchestral library you are using?
Hi there, it’s probably a combination of Audio Imperia, Spitfire Audio, and Sonuscore’s the Orchestra with some Project Sam instruments. I mostly like to keep my virtual instrument templates simple these days since you can get a great sound out of these newer libraries without having to tweak too much. You can see my latest template in my most recent upload. Hope that helps!
fantastic demo man, thanks for the work
Thank you 🙏
A true masterpiece!! Congrats
I really need to watch this high quality and "Smart" script movie XDD
....
This midi keyboard is love at first sight at least for me 🙌🏼 my question is how quiet can you play on it with a piano library? Can you play pianissimo or even pianissimo with (Spitfire Hans Zimmer Piano) or other piano libraries?
Yes you can, very dynamic imo
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Bravo ! 👏👏👏
*promo sm* 💃
how to do in portrait mode?
This was shot horizontally but RUclips automatically made it vertical when I uploaded it as a short. The scene is a lot wider than this.
@@SamDiazProducer thank you for the reply. I found a solution for portrait mode in blender.
Amazing! 🎉❤😮 Can’t wait to see it!
Looks dope man. 👌
Appreciate it!
Actually, this is the cheapest 88-keys MIDI Controller in Indonesia, but it is great enough. Thank you for the review
Great job-putting this keyboard through its paces! You touched on all the salient points.
Glad it was helpful!
Great vid. Did part 2 ever happen?
Coming next month. Just wrapping up post on my film and I’ll make the second part.
That desk though…
Is it not possible to view all instruments at once?
There are little arrows to the left and right where you can page through all the instruments in each preset and modify them as you wish.
@@SamDiazProducer I found it strange, it would be much better to work seeing all the instruments on the screen. Nowadays, even those who have a home studio use one or more large monitors, it seems that the program was made for use on a tablet screen....
That firebreathing snake is gold! Nice demonstration of The Score. 👍
Thank you! That’s a rough edit from my monster short film coming out early next year.
I think this is great that you’ve done this, however as a The Score owner myself, there’s a certain “one dimensionalness” about The Score. I can’t place my finger on it yet. Not knocking the software nor your valiant efforts.
Hi there and yes I totally know what you mean. The more I try it the more I notice it’s limitations and usefulness. I would use the score maybe as a last resort for a musical bed or if I need some quick inspiration etc. I still prefer to mock things up from scratch as it feels more original to myself but this is a pretty good tool to have either way. The orchestra 3 imo has more useful presets that I often go to, especially orchestration presets etc. Thanks for watching and for your input as well 🙏
One idea that comes to mind is to get starting ideas for instrumentation , not writing with the score but picking a preset and seeing what instruments are used and what those instruments are doing with you lay something down and take that and go get other vsts and implementing that with those and to me it seems you can run with your own creativity rather than being subject to the scores limitations.
I agree. I think The Score shines in creating rough sketches very quickly to show directors and getting approvals. Also works as layering potentially.
thnks for the video. this is exactly what i needed b4 making my purchase. This will be my 1st piano. The other instruments on the keyboard isn't included with the piano are they? assuming u have to pay some subscription for the other instruments?
How's it? Smooth?
@bigheartsmolpen sadly I returned mine. I didn't realize it didn't have speakers of it's own.
@@dividendapacolypse6060hey thanks for replying! Can you comment on the keybed? How did the keys feel? Clunky or smooth?
@@bigheartsmolpen they definitely felt smooth. The keyboard was actually the opposite of what I wanted. I ended up getting a weighted keyboard after I returned it. But yeah, the controller was great, just not what I wanted
Would it be okay if I use the footage for ramp48 doc? Or does Calvary grant permission?
Not sure, I don’t work there anymore and I edited this video back in 2017-2018. You would have to message their team directly but I don’t see why it would be an issue.
@@SamDiazProducer thanks. I figured the same but coming from you has more grounding. I hope whenever I finish the projects, you’ll enjoy it. I don’t know too much about that specific years you mentioned, but I’m sure I’ll suffice.
@@SamDiazProducer now that I’m thinking about it. I’m assuming you were on the media team with Steve and I believe John? It’s been a while since I worked with them as well. I remember seeing your video played in the grill
Either way. Thanks for posting this
ive been looking for this. thanks
Hey man great vid thanks. My plugin is all blank . Where can i find the IR's that came with it ? Thanks
I think you can download them directly from the presonus website actually. Or once you sign in I think in the drop down menus you can install packages, which is what I think I did, can you can find the new IRs there to install.
Do you think this will go on sale for Black friday, or should I just pull the trigger now?
I would wait unless you need it urgently for a gig. I have a gig coming up where I really wanted to use it which is why I bought it so early on but otherwise I would have waited for a sale.
It was just released some weeks ago. No way it goes on sale so soon.
@@SamDiazProducer I ended up buying it as well 😁
Thanks, very helpful. sub.
Glad it helped!
@@SamDiazProducer I hope it goes on sale someday.... expensive but impressive. Looking forward to a more detailed review but right now it looks to be an essential productivity suite for fledgling composers (even if they are pushing 80yrs ({-;)
This sounds great, but is this your composing or just the Score? Before I even think about getting this, I already have Hollywood Opus and learning that. What is the difference between the two?
EA Hollywood Orchestra - as the name suggests - is a full symphony orchestra with each section individually sampled (so you have Violins I & II, Violas, Cellos,..., Trumpets, Trombones, Horns, and so on...) while The Score gives you an orchestra PLUS a lot more traditional intruments (like guitars) and synths BUT in this case the orchestra is patch-based (so you have String High/Low, Brass High/Low, Woods High/Low, NOT the individual sections). Let's say it trades a bigger instruments choice with a lot less flexibility in the orchestral part. Moreover, EAHO arranger (aka The Orchestrator) is way more powerful than The Score arranger, which in turn is more powerful than Sonuscore's The Orchestra 3 arranger. Anyway, I agree on The Score sounding great indeed, especially when it merges the orchestra with traditional instruments like the acoustic guitar, giving that rich ensemble sound.
Hi Kenneth!! Cosmodrome actually answered this question better than I ever could 😂 and he is right, the EastWest stuff is way more complete and top tier imo. To me the Score is more of a sketch tool that I would add layers too with other instruments or libraries. Here I was just trying it out with some generic chords over some short film scenes I previously scored that I still had on my hard drive. But honestly now a days you can pretty much get great results with most orchestral libraries out there if you learn them well enough.
@@cosmodrome9478 but score has individual instruments too, and you can adjust different section based on your requirment.
Weirdly enough, I have the Soundly Monitor only in the Effects section. This means I cannot use it as an Instrument. I now have to toggle between the Soundly monitor and Studio one to listen to it. This makes it already a bit cumbersome. Any idea? (using the free plan, SoundlyApp version: 2023.06.154, just trying it out)
Wonderful and to the point.... Thank you :-)
Man this is excellent ! Give us more !!! You could try the keyswitches for scenes ...intro, main A ,B ,outro !!!
So true! I actually didn’t realize this had key switching until after I made the video 😂 I’m using this on a gig next month and will create a follow up video once I have more experience with it and try that out. Thanks for watching and the suggestion.
Which laptop did you use in this video?
Hi there! That’s a spare 12.5” Dell latitude laptop that I had with an i7 processor, 16gb of ram and a 1tb ssd.
@@SamDiazProducer thanks a lot sir
really cool man !
Thx Sam- Very helpful to see the new adds and get an idea of the possibilities. Peace.
Why is the video 360p?
Hi there, it's now available in HD.
hi ! hi! does anyone knows a solution for this? i"m at pc , use asio4ALL onboard sound card, when i use pro tools ,soundly or other thing not work , not start because dont support simultanly repdroduction ....is any solution for this? i want to have pro tools open and search , and" lisent " SOUNDLY SFX .. thanks !
Go to soundly.com and download a plug-in from them called soundly monitor. Then open it as a vst in pro tools while having soundly open and it should automatically connect. Once connected, anything you play through soundly will monitor through that pro tools channel.
I just made a video about it here on RUclips. You can check it out on my channel.
what format do you export when finished? Stereo?
That's cool bro its lot of work for a few seconds of video, I loaded the 6.5 was blow away by the Atmos features and binurial mode of course I don't have the funds for 9 more monitors yet. But your little video sound design shows the potential of Atmos in video audio productions great video thanks for the info and the inspiration to try to mix in Atmos so when I win the lottery and buy 9 more monitors and a bigger space for a Dolby Atmos studio 😂😆
subscribed lookig forward to more S1 ATMOS TUTS God Bless you and your family
Nice video Samy
Thank you kind sir!
just ordered it last week, can't wait to start my piano playing journey
