How about the average income then and now?
@@mattcheneyrealtor 1983, median family income was $24,580. About 22.2% of the cost of a house. 2023, median family income is around $75,000. A little less than 18% of the cost of a house today. Wages have kept on par with inflation for the most part. But if homes kept on par with inflation, the average home today would be worth $336k, not $417k.

That is an exclusive neighborhood. The Obamas bought an $8 million home there. The leftists who live there have luxurious gated estates with the most sophisticated and modern security systems but advocate for open borders and accuse others who want stricter immigration laws of "racism".
