    How much space you need behind the robot and also on the end of the table? Is 13 feet total length is enough?

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni Год назад

      Assuming the table is 9ft long and the robot is 1 ft deep, you are looking at 10 ft total for both. You might want some more room to take the robot on and off but you can get away with as little as 1.5 ft behind the table without messing with the effectiveness of the ball catch net.

    Also...is there a warranty?

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni Год назад

      I think there is a manufacturer warranty for product defects 1 year after purchase. This is a semi-commercial product so their support is really good for replacement parts and maintenance. It helps that the design has barely changed over the last 20 years for this model.

    How many hours is the robot built to last?

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni Год назад

      It's kinda like a bike. It will last as long as you are willing to maintain it. Some parts will fail, and you can order new ones from newgy support or fix yourself. I expext to have mine for a very long time. I have probably spent 200 to 400 hours on it mine and it has not failed yet but parts do eventually fail. I have broken a spring in the hopper and messed up the net so far but the primary mechanism still functions.

    Curious how this product is holding up one year later? Any reliability issues?

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni Год назад

      Still reliable after cleaning off dust. Dust is the primary issue for reliability but otherwise functions like new. Ball placement is within an acceptable margin as well.

    Just bought one a few days ago and loved it. I have only used drill 6 now and the practice version with various settings that I can handle. I also bought 50 balls from Amazon to add to the 40 that I received with the robot. It is incredibly cool to play with. You don't need a club or partner in the winter. Just stay home and practice methodically. Great video by the way. Well organized and very thorough. Thanks!

    can you show drill variations?

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni 2 года назад

      There are far too many drills to make a video that is actually watchable. The manual contains all of the information about drill variations on pages 21-27. I have a printed copy which I use for reference during training but the pdf can also be found here: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2677/3302/files/1055_2055-Owners_Manual-3.2.21.pdf?v=1614795083

    • @larrythoman9661
      @larrythoman9661 2 года назад

      @@fontexstudios This is a 1-wheel robot without a motor to spin the head or change the head angle. Therefore, it is limited to 1 spin and 1 head angle for each drill. The Amicus and PowerPong robots have 3 wheels and can change spins and head angles between each shot (except for Amicus Basic and Start models that have controllers that limit drills to only one spin and head angle). As long as there is only 1 spin and 1 head angle in the drill, the 2055 should be able to do the same drills as the Amicus and PowerPong robots. But as soon as a drill uses 2 or more spins, or the head angle changes during the drill, the 2055 cannot do that same drill.

    Great review 👍! it is possible to choose an option that the ball will be shot in a random direction/with a random speed/spin ? Thanks

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni 2 года назад

      Yeah it is possible, I would recommend checking the manual for all of the options.

    • @larrythoman9661
      @larrythoman9661 2 года назад

      You can get random placement (direction), random speed, and/or random wait time (time between shots). You can also control the degree of randomness for each variable (little variation to lots of variation). But there is no random spin. 1-wheel robots are always limited to only one spin at a time unless there is a motor attached to the head to rotate the head between shots. Only the Robo-Pong 3050 XL has such a motor (and it has two wheels).

    Thanks for your great video. From where can I get robo pong 2055 with adaptor of input 100-240v and 50-60hz and what is the price.?

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni 2 года назад

      Not sure about obtaining the right correct adapter. My assumption would be that newgy sends you the adapter based on the mailing address but you might want to contact their customer support just to be sure. You might have to buy a special power supply if you want it to work for 120v and 240v. As for the price it is constantly changing. Best bet is to monitor the website with their email newsletters. They have a Valentine's day sale today but I have seen the prices drop to around $700 - $800 in the past (around christmas).

    what is the maximum thickness my table is 4 " the stiga premium compact

    • @antoniomolteni
      @antoniomolteni 2 года назад

      I think that the premium compact is actually a 1" table and that the siding may be 4 " in which case I think that it would fit but without seeing the underside of the table or the table in person I cannot be sure. I will say however that even if it is a 4 inch table, by shortening the cantilever arms with an angle grinder you could probably get it to fit.

      The vga port on the back of control box is for a product called the pong master which I don't think is being produced anymore ( I could be wrong). It is basically target practice. www.newgy.com/products/pong-master

    The 3050XL has my interest but as you said, they still seam to be working out minor bugs and connectivity issues. I decided to get the two wheel JT-A for now and let Newgy work out the final issues with the 3050XL. Once the 3050XL is bug free, I believe it will have everything I want. It might be there already but I will wait for feedback on the web to confirm that its solid.
