I am so glad they mounted the filter the way they did. I'm about to do the first change on my 2024 and I feared it was going to be like my '08 where I had to remove the inner fender well. And having the electronic prime is nice, instead of a button on top of the filter housing to push for priming the system. This is too easy.

This unit doesnt have two trigger wires though does it? For example, I can trigger rears only, or fronts only from my Whelen controller. I know the speed turtle modules do this but they dont work with the newer GM trucks.

Does this compare to the 3 in E-valve?

I run my tires about 10 psi lower than the sticker, if I haul then raise it up....just gives the ride a bit more comfort.....and yeah they dont come with much grease in the fittings on front end although they are greased its just not full....a couple of pumps every oil change not a bad thing.... just bought my 3rd truck a few months ago but this is first diesel......hopefully wont have any issues, motor is pretty strong vs the gas versions....

Any issues from eliminating the exhaust? Any sort of programming needed?

It appears this exhaust now requires 4 springs to hold together the muffler and mid pipe, whereas the one in your video utilizes a clamp. Did the design change at some point? Your exhaust looks great!

Man that thing sounds SICK. There are 6 things I've always wanted in life. Currently live in Florida ( I hate it). 6 things are: A wife, A house, a side by side, a truck to tow it, a kid, and a cozy cabin in the middle of the woods.

I changed the filter for 1st time today on my 2024 Duramax at 17,500 miles and used your video for reference. Only have a couple comments. Mine seemed much more difficult to break the filter loose. I had no dirt on my rag when I wiped it down and filter look like yours, could have been twins, Curious if original filter was dark instead of white, The torque printed on my cannister and yours is 25NM (Newton Meter), That actually converts to 18.43 ft.lbs. Again, video was very good and I still forgot to reset the guage.

Little but of a tip fellas. Take some all purpose grease from your grease gun and rub outer o ring with it. You will thank yourself on the next filter change

Is a one way screw driver a flat head?

Be sure to monitor the opening the spacer creates, the soot will collect in that place and if released causes a large clump of soot to be consumed by the engine. Oil from the CCV makes this problem worse. I check this sensor every oil change. (my earlier model has only one.)

Cool. Im waiting for my spacers from banks. Supposed to get them like 2 weeks ago, but finally on Thursday I got info from ups that my stuff got damaged and they contacted Banks about it. No info from banks so far. Anyway, did you get any engine light on after that install??? Or it was ok since you disconnected batteries??? I cleaned my sensors once without disconnecting batteries. and got P0101 code. No biggie, I cleared the code, but lost about 3MPG after that. This AT4X HD is definitely weird truck and IMO its a downgrade from my old Denali HD LML

While watching you prime the fuel system, I noticed that your phone was connecting wirelessly to CarPlay in a matter of a few seconds. My wireless CarPlay on my 24 hasn't worked in months! I'm getting the software recall done tomorrow which seems to have mixed results; any problems with the system on yours? I must say, I love the trailer towing software built into the system!

after adding these window visors did it increase the wind noise of the truck vs without them?

Just did this. Perfect video to help me do the project. Only difference for my Chevy 3500 was a 9/16 plug I had to remove to remove the case holding the fuel filter. Made draining the case easier, but one small additional step. Also, that plug doesn’t have a hard stop. Get it tight then stop turning. There are 2 o rings on that plug, should I replace those?

Have you had any issues with the module? I have exact same truck you do 🫡 I want to add some things to it this will be the first upgrade.

Here at Greico Chevrolet in Delray Beach Florida- the dealer wants over $400.00 to change this filter. This is right after I had to Flatbed my 2024 2500 HD to another Chevy dealership closer to where my truck broke down at a busy intersection because a sensor module went bad. I was stuck at a busy intersection for almost 2 hours before I could get a tow.

I also have a 2024 Silverado duramax, and mine has a 11/16" socket on the bottom to drain...not the torx bit yours has...weird, I've done mine twice (35,500) and was double checking the priming procedure, nice video!

Good video Cameron. Always fun to see how someone else does maintenance on the same vehicle. Couple of things to comment on. First, it appeared looking at your lower ball joint boots that your truck might could use a grease job. If it hasn't yet, you may know that these trucks essentially come from the factory with hardly any grease in the grease points. Second thing is about the ticking you mentioned might have went away with the Amsoil. Likely it was not your oil. The normal tick from these Duramax trucks is the DEF injector pumping away. There are times it is quiet and likely you caught a time it was not ticking. Just my thoughts anyway.
