I don’t know if Mojang did intend to rig the 2020 Mob Vote because if they did truly want to add the Iceologer, they could just add it now. i would argue that minecraft's spinoffs either A. shouldnt have happened or B. were cut because of corporate greed before they could have been finished and realize their full potential minecraft legends should never have existed dugeons was shut down for legends legends was shut down because of a lack of popularity and when i say "shut down" that either means 1. funding was pulled, but its available 2. funding was pulled and its not available 3. it outright was replaced by the new one, and is no longer available 4. you can buy it, or you might have it, but you can no longer play a significant portion of its features 5. you cant buy it, and can no longer play it (hawken is such a game)

the devs making the phantom and refusing to redo it, was their own mistake 1. there wasnt much information (as you say here 0:42) 2. they attack too quickly/frequently 3. they have basically zero alternative use, because its main drop doesnt really do much, when people just use mending 4. the durability system of the elytra being so poor in order to make the drop useful, was the elytra's main issue after the fact that they made it so you could fly nearly indefinitely when you use fireworks
