she's so beautiful and he is there I guess
James gardner probably mogs your entire bloodline he's objectivaly a high T chad
It's safe to say that this is a far better movie than it's given credit for being. The music behind the scene above is ethereal.

An American hating character in love with an American man love. I've seen them in 2 movies together The Americanization of Emily & Victor/ Victoria and in both they did a love scene, but Julie didn't show anything like actresses do these days. If this movie was remade, I guarantee there would be a lot more action and nudeness. I love this movie just the way it is with a handsome man and a beautiful woman who made love but weren't nude.
I loved this movie. I never would've watched a black & white movie but when I realized Julie Andrews was in it, I had to and I'm glad I did.
When I first found this movie, I couldn't believe Mary Poppins had fallen in love. Now I've watched this movie quite a few times and still can't believe but it doesn't stop me from enjoying the movie or any of the scenes in the movie.
Where to watch the full movie?
Charlie: Come to think of it I don't have a girl Emily: I don't have a man Emily: Tell me what was that about? Charlie: What did he say?
Say what you want about James Garner, but he sure can do a breathtaking love scene!
He was one of the best.

So handsome, beautiful face
The beauty about this movie is they made a total of 3 films together and each time there was "chemistry" between the two of them in all three. Their interview from the Halmark movie "One special night" told everyone how they felt about each other. Very sincere and touching... even with him being married to Lois Clarke. What a great marriage and what two great people! And two great daughters. Wish this scene posted went all the way to the hotel; "... I've been so silly, of course I'll marry you..." . Anyway, wishing you all the best and this is one of the best movies every produced and such a tribute to the stupidity to the politicians that get us into wars! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
Finally! I’ve been looking for this video for 2 days
Can we see the full movie?
The soundtrack. Dang awful.
It waz dTiem.. Its how d muzik waz az d thinking.. Very SweeTnGay simpl n inosent.. hmm..

Julie is so posh!
Years after they made this movie both James Garner and Julie Andrews said separately that it was their favorite movie-making experience. I just remembered that 18 years later (1982) they were paired up again in "Victor, Victoria."
and they paired up again in 1999 to do a tv movie called One Special Night!
These 2 had the best chemistry!
Great movie! One of Julie's best performances!
"Was it a contest?" That is a great, great line.
Thanks for sharing. Emily is my favorite of Dame Julie's roles. BTW, he was the first to die because you shot him! You sanctimonious, hypocritical jerk! Great movie.
Julie Andrews and Liz Fraser together ............??? ...... unless it is just my imagination ..... ???
Yes, it was the lovely Liz. A familiar face from British TV and films in the 60s.
@@chrisnorton4382 She certainly was a 'looker'; .. a bonnie lass as they say. It's just we're not used to seeing Liz in straight acting roles.
Julie Andrews admitted in later years that when this scene cut and she tried to stand up, her knees buckled and some one had to grab her. James Garner was that amorous! :D
Sally Field has said James Garner was her best on-screen kiss. The man's got something!
Omg I had no idea they worked together before Victor or Victoria
O yeah day wer together in VictorVictoria dats wen i first sawem togethr.. Ah.. Y day putem together for dat script aha.. HoLLyWoods PaTurns..
Julie Andrews is so beautiful.
She’s always beautiful💗😉
Fact
A lovely film. My only objection: "I've got this ingrained British morality..." Try asking the Cypriots, especially the ones in detention camps, and other occupied British subjects during The Empire.
The Indians who were stolen of their jewels
@@ritagam4514 well look on the bright side they provided you with the most extensive railway network in the world (not bad for a few diamonds)
@@gerardmackay8909 lol..not to mention a million people who died from starvation.. I only wish their stupid white c**t queen was alive so we could see her reaction on having an indian origin British Prime Minister ..would've been nice to see that b**ch gang raped
@@ritagam4514 oooh aren’t you the daring one from the safety of your anonymous device. Yes who indeed could admire the late queen next to a shining example of womanhood like yourself. If gang rape turns you on so much India is certainly the place to be (as long as you’re about 15 and defenceless AND belong to the ‘Untouchable’ caste). Ah India, the jewel in the crown.
@@gerardmackay8909 lol..looks who's talking..youre behaving like women never get exploited, raped or abused in UK..the greatest victim of abuse in your country is a member of your so-called royal family..Diana..maybe you're too dense to understand the subtle metaphor that gangrape meant in this context..I was talking about rape of my motherland..n the comparison with your queen, the symbol of British stupidity.. but I don't expect a redneck privileged moron like u to get that 😂😂
no captioning is discrimination against the handicapped...I am deaf THUMBS DOWN
I concur. I've had at least a 50% hearing loss all my life, and yes, captions are a wonderful help. Without them, I miss so much of the dialogue.
I need captioning, I am deaf because of Service to the USA so thumbs down, discrimination against Veterans continues fu
how is this discriminating yeah it sucks u can't hear but u can't get so angry because of that sometimes people either forget to put captioning on or ignore it
Oh boo hoo. I'm a disabled vet and can barely walk. I can't believe a real vet would say such a thing. No one owes you a thing. If you think that this clip needs captioning then you do it. Sometimes, captioning a video is very hard.
I need captioning...I'm deaf
utube haz it I'm hearn impaird. Too..
Why don't they make movies like this anymore?
They can’t and or they won’t, because they don’t have the actors like James Gardner, and Julie Andrews. And making a “Reboot” of any classic has never turned out well at all. We’ll just have to continue to enjoy these timeless classics.❤❤
in my opinion, Julie Andrews at her very best. of course, James Garner helped, and that brilliant Paddy Chayevsky script, and Mandel's score. one of the last, best, truly satisfying MGM movies. saw it twice when it first came out, and savor watching portions of it again, from time to time. when movies were movies, even in 1964. what happened?
What happened? Sixty years went by, for one thing. As far as nostalgia goes, I'm ahead of the curve - I miss what silent films could do. Lillian Gish? Oh, yeah!
Helped? He was a great actor, just as good as anyone.
didn't mean to underrate Garner in this. he was terrific in this. he said it was his favorite movie role, and rightly so. he stepped in and replaced William Holden, originally cast, who wouldn't have been half as good as Garner was in this picture. @@nicksambidesjr
I am on the verge of laughing and crying every time I watch this scene
Damn julie is yummy, and im a woman!
Man, he was so handsome!
Lucky, lucky Julie Andrews.
Lesley Leith you should read or listen to her book/audiobook she discusses this movie and James Garner. It’s very sweet.
Her most amorous moment onscreen
lucky lucky james!!!
"He sacrificed himself". "How pagan of him". I remember a quote attributed to Patton in which he said no one won a war by dying for his country. He won by making the other SOB die for his.
The most logical encapsulation of the futility of war.
I can’t deal with how adorable she is
I can't believe how handsome he is and how hot they are together!!!!!!
@@lauramachacek7411 he waz to in all demovies wit DorisDay.. SO SAD HOW HER GRANDSUN WAZ LEFT OUT WEN SHE PASSd.. HOLLyWOODs BCOM A NIGHT MARE OF HOROR n TEROR PEDOPHILIA SEX SCANDALS etc etC eTc..
And James Garner!
Why?Why I watched this? Why I watched Julie Andrews having love?!
don't watch Darling Lili then ;)
same question as mine
I saw an interview with Julie about that love scene and after they finished shooting, Julie couldn't stand up because her knees gave away and someone had to help her up.
Why I want to watch Julie Andrews having sex?
This is the greatest anti-war movie ever made. Charlie and Emily are my very favorite lovers in the movies. It revels in showing the worthiness of those that fight, and those at home.
