I think it varies a lot by region! I have heard those stories too, but I have had several clients buy with DR Horton and they have not had any issues. For some people it makes sense depending on budget and what size house they need. I do NOT advise looking at their “express” collection… only the “traditions” neighborhoods. That is also why it is important to get your own 3rd party inspections and work with a realtor experienced in new construction. Mosaic is very low key. They do have music on the lawn every Friday evening during the summer, but it is a family event and does not go late. You won't hear the music unless you are living in the apartments in Mosaic. Chatham Park has pickleball courts and there is a brand new YMCA being built, but there are not many other options in Pittsboro that I am aware of.
