This battery life time 50 years in one charge 😮
Curious if anyone can get this to work on an R930. I have the whole Clover -> NVME SSD thing working on my regular consumer pc, but the R930 just doesn't work. I can't even see the drive in the Proxmox installer. I get an error message at every boot: "A bus fatal error was detected on a component at slot X (where X is the slot I put the PCIe to m.2 card in).
ankita c?😂
Also it doesn’t support the computer go to newer c states which help with power consumption
How are securing the front fan?
@@kellyslow5506 It fits snugly under the CD-ROM drive. The server gets moved ocassionally and the fan has never budged.
@@Warning56kb Ok, thank you. I have a T420 with no CD-ROM drive installed. I do have two of them. Maybe it's time to install it! I really liked this video.

Great video, I just need the USB for bootup and get to the c:\ file system on windows 10 laptop, how does that work. I have No need to install windows 11. what steps must I omit from the video.
You can download a Windows 10 ISO and then within Rufus select "Windows To Go" under Image Option. Once installed onto the USB you'll be able to run Windows directly from the USB. I know the Windows To Go feature was disabled after a certain version of Win 11 Pro, so you might have to find a slightly older version of 11 Pro.
Extremely excellent instructional video for the person who has no knowledge of Windows and Rufus made it easy. Keep up the good work.😀😄
@@abefre2296 Thank you for the kind words! I saw plenty of videos breezing through using Rufus, but none that ever explained all the options available, so thought I would make one that did. Thank you again!

anyway to incorporate secure boot option?
anyway to enable secure boot with this?
Unfortunately no. It just redirects to a different device not available within the BIOS.
As an old Windows user who has been using Microsoft products since the early 90s, I can't believe I didn't know this existed. I have only used registry workarounds. I just subbed.
@@jameysummers1577 Thank you! 😁 Like you said all of the commanfs and regedits still work, but this makes it sooo much easier. Especially if you do a lot of installs.
TL;DW: The key feature Rufus has for Windows 11 is a couple of options that tell it to tweak the ISO to disable some of Win11's onerous (unnecessary) system requirements.
Odd to comment that you did not watch, yet commentented about the video. If you 'did' watch you would see that your comment was covered in the very title and is more than just a "couple of options". Funny, because at first you said "couple of options" and then realized there's more to it and then said "some". Next time, actually watch or read the thing you want to comment about. It saves you the embarrassment. 🤣
I have a laptop that says the processor installed is not compatible with Windows 11. Does this solve this problem too? Or is there a way to bypass this so it can be installed on an older laptop with an older processor?
Rufus unfortunately doesn't tackle the 'unsupported CPU' issue'.
it's impossible to avoid the belts, even astronauts from NASA say that the major problem is that the radiations in that region will easily damage the spaceship's instrumentation. and if it's possible to avoid NASA will rejoice to return to the moon even if it costs millions of dollars.
They never completely avoided the belts, just did not go through the intense regions. That's what the very video is about. The problem with the 'type' of radiation in the belts is thebeffexts on digitial equipment. Analog equipment used during thr Apollo program was not affected in the same way.
@@Warning56kb they've never even came close to the belts, because they had to avoid it twice, which wasn't easy task and impossible to achieve. they said that they didn't go back to the moon because of lack of money, what a joke, going back to the moon shouldn't cost a lot of money because they already know how to get there, so no research needed, no need for spaceship engineering, no need for anything else, everything was already know and mastered
@kermosrujji9475 That's a negative. They flew THROUGH THE OUTER REGION OF THE BELTS. That includes both the inner AND outer Van Allen Belts. How do we know this? By no other than Dr James Van Allen himself as well as NASA. We did not go back to the moon because there were no more missions. The missions were accomplished, done, over, finito. The hilarious part about your argument is that if they kept going back for zero reason, you'd then be complaining that they kept wasting money on going back for no reason. 🤣🤣 Where do the mission approvals come from? THE PRESIDENT. Where does the money come from? CONGRESS. Without Congress funding NASA, things don't happen. Fact. Knowing HOW to get there is DRASTICALLY changed when EVERY SINGLE BIT of equipment you're using has CHANGED and functions DIFFERENTLY. The NEW equipment has to be RIGIROUSLY tested. Tou don't just make new equipment and go "yUp! sHe's GooD tUh gO! tRuSt mEe!🥴" 🤣 If you're so concerned with this, actually do some research on what the old equipment consisted of and what the NEW equipment is and how it is drastically different. That COMPOUNDED by the fact that every Apollo mission was a single-shot mission where 99.9% of the rocket is destroyed in the process, and the new goals are reusability with the only waste being that of fuel. Knowledge is power. 🙂
The greatest achievement in the history of mankind, and you don't find all this data important enough to save? Important enough to document for posterity? You just record over it like it was last week's Saturday morning cartoons? Heck no. This was history. You save all data related to this historic achievement.
I fully agree. It was a travesty to have lost the original media it was saved on, but all of the data was copied and backed up in many ways. The other downside to not having it is that we cannot up-scale it using modern processing techniques for unprecedented resolution and clarity, which everyone would love to see.
I'm not an expert. For a few years I have a Dell T710 and a Dell T410 running using Proxmox. I do not understand why ZFS is a problem with the Perc raid controllers. I have on both servers the storage disks in ZFS. I did twice a hot swap on the R710 on a failing disk and (cold) swap failing drive on the T410 without any issues. Performance on both servers is Ok.
ZFS is designed to work directly with raw, unformatted disks. It manages redundancy, error correction, and data integrity by itself. PERC RAID controllers, on the other hand, abstract disks into virtual drives, obscuring the physical disk layout. Using ZFS on top of a PERC RAID can result in redundancy managed by both the RAID controller and ZFS, causing inefficiency and even potential data corruption. This obscuring ZFS from the underlying drives (that make up the virtual drive) prevents ZFS from using its advanced features like checksumming and healing, preventing ZFS from fully managing the disks' health and status. ZFS is highly resilient against disk failures, and it expects to handle disk errors directly. When using a PERC RAID controller, the controller itself manages disk failures and can report inaccurate information to ZFS, undermining ZFS’s ability to ensure data integrity. If wanting to utilize ZFS it's recommended to run the RAID controller in JBOD mode or as an HBA, allowing the controller to pass control over to ZFS without any abstraction.
@@Warning56kb Thanks I understand. Both servers running fine for a few years now so I leave it this way for now. I planning to buy a newer server to upgrade the old ones. I will investigate and test how to use Proxmox and ZFS bypassing the raid controllers 👍
@@Bus2000 You're very welcome!
Bro just wants to click on every option and talk for ten minutes a piece. Get to the point of the video. If someone knows what TPM and Secure Boot are, they don't need an explanation on MBR.
@MadJackChurchill1312 Yeah, because the video is about WHAT each option is and does in Rufus. Guess bro never heard of a tutorial or how to fast forward. 🤣 But thank you for the engagement and view time. Cheers! 🙂
so a 100% + increase from last gen. very nice, it would blow away everything if it had a $400 or less price point because as of now 4070 ti cost 700+ and 7900 xt is $600+ that would make the new 5070 $500+/- so a same % for $100+ less would be a major win for intel
@@johnburk360 Well said! It's going to be a killer platform. With Battlemage Intel is increasing the Ray Tracing Unit width from 2 traversal pipelines to 3, meaning even less performance loss when RT is on. Intel is also shifting from SMD8 to SMD16 with Battelmage which means compatability with games will MASSIVELY improve along with no longer having to manually tune each game (hence the major jumps in performance with specific games with each driver release). Driver development will come much faster as a consequence. Execute Indirect being on die will also be yet another major jump for Battlemage. No longer having to be emulated in software means many titles that utilize it (Unreal Engine 5 titles for example) will mean an imporvement in Execute Indirect by easily an order of magnitude (x10+).
Hello mate i got a quick question, there is a game called Valorant which requires TPM and secure boot to be enabled if i have them disabled on windows 11 with this boot you showed in this video, could i bypass TPM and secure boot using this set up of windows
I think it would still give you a fit, but try this. Open a command prompt as an administrator as run: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
MINE JUST DELIVERD :D
I did not use Rufus or any other way to install Windows 11 24H2 on my unsupported laptop...I used command prompt which bypassed the requirements and it installed. As I tried rufus and it did not work 3 times.
That's odd. I've yet to run across a client that wouldn't install 24H2 using Rufus. Command prompt works fine, but if you install on numerous devices Rufus saves a ton of time since the configurations are saved.
What was the problem you were running into?
