PC: I fixed it up so it looks passable. The tip of the nose was crushed since I have weight in there. Hangar rash! More soon as the landing gear is next! -Dan

Hi Robert: It's really rather nice. I thought that the spinner was a little pointy and I'm not very good at butt joints along the fuselage. There are a lot of them! Otherwise, fit was fine and it looks the part! Good luck and let us know how it turns out. -Dan

@dansmith7617 thank you, i will use a bit more glue with those fuselage parts, ill let you know how it turns out. Spinner will probably end up using some sandpaper and paint 😊 have a great day!

@@Robert-yk8tx Hi Robert. I think that's just a poor translation of some sort of wire. I used thin piano wire for 17g. 17f were just paper folded over from the kit engine parts. 17e was from pulled plastic sprue (heated) and the intakes were made from bendy fuse wire. Looks pretty convincing when done! -Dan

Ha! Me too. The silver is fine but if you make mistakes, it really shows. The little Nieuport is much more forgiving. I am getting to like the Mig too, though. Can't wait to add the wings now!! -Dan

Hello Pegasus: You would be amazed what you can do in paper. Some modelers make works of art and you can't even tell they are paper. Really amazing stuff. Takes practice but it's so satisfying. I think it's the best of plastic modeling and balsa tissue modeling combined! Thanks for the views and your comments. -Dan

When it's this thin, it's no problem. Gives some needed strength at least for me. Plus, I've used it for lots of models so I have all the equipment to deal with it. I know it won't dull blades as fast as cardboard will! We'll see how this one goes! Thanks for the comment, FishBBQ. -Dan

Yes indeed! That's my preferred Nieuport 11 paper model (actually, ANY WWI model by KK's drsigner Paweł Mistewicz is an automatic buy for me). Frankly, wish Dan were doing separate builds, but still looking forward to this project.

MrMav: I have seen that one and sort of want to get it. I just saw this and the colors/markings looked nice. Hopefully it will turn out as well as it looks on the paper! -Dan

GeneKoro: I agree that any Pawel Mistewicz design is a good build. Dan: the Mig is definitely hand drawn.
