Migport Part 12: MiG Gear Doors and Wheels/Tires
Here we show adding the landing gear doors with some mods using some photos of the real machine. In addition, we add the wheels and tires and she sits on her own three feet! Some more detail work but it's darn close now.
P.S. I'm trying out some new lighting and a new way to hold my GoPro. See what you think. One issue is that the camera isn't made for this so I think it could be sharper. Baby steps (or I need a different camera!). Let me know in the comments or if you have any suggestions.

Migport Part 11: Landing Gear and Oleo Struts
Просмотров 13916 часов назад
Here we get both machines on their own legs. Next will be the wheels. The MiG only needs a couple extra details and will be done soon while the Nieuport still needs an engine, cowling and Lewis machine gun along with some other little bits and bobs. Both are coming along nicely!
Migport Part 10: Putting Wings and Struts on the Nieuport
Просмотров 285День назад
We finally catch up with the Mig by making struts and adding the top and bottom wing!
Migport Part 9: The Nieuport Gets Wings
Просмотров 30514 дней назад
We need to catch up to the Mig so here are some basics on the upper and lower wings on the Nieuport. It's graceful!
Migport Part 8: Wing Difficulties on the Mig
Просмотров 19321 день назад
I think the Mig is sort of cursed since I dropped it on it's nose cone. In this video, I show some of the many attachments on the surface of the fuselage and then we attempt to add the wings! It does not go too well...mistakes were made.
Migport Part 7: Finishing the Tail Details
Просмотров 185Месяц назад
Let's show the rigging of the Nieuport and put some bits and bobs on the Mig tail. Then, add some cockpit and windscreen detail to the Nieuport as well. Both are coming along! NOTE: Thanks to @MABESCADDALIA for pointing out my ventral fin was on backwards. It's been fixed!
Migport Part 6: Making and Adding the Tails
Просмотров 185Месяц назад
Both machines get their tail feathers. More details are needed, but things are moving along.
Migport Part 5: Mig Canopy and Starting the Spine
Просмотров 153Месяц назад
Let's move forward on the Mig. Looks better with an actual canopy attached!
Migport Part 4: Nieuport Fuselage
Просмотров 166Месяц назад
Here we finish some interior work and build the fuselage complete with outside skins. This catches us up with the Mig!
Migport Part 3: Some Mig Fuselage Finished and Nieuport Interior
Просмотров 238Месяц назад
Here we talk about the Mig main body along with adding the instrument panel and a visor. Then we work on the interior additions to the Nieuport.
Migport Part 2

We work on the cockpit of the Nieuport and start adding formers and skins to the Mig.
Mig-21 Paper Card Model Part 1: Interior and Some Fuselage Skins

In our first Migport installment, let's begin the jet since that's totally foreign to me. More on the Nieuport next time! My plan is to have videos that show both being completed at the same time. Stay tuned...

The tail antenna on the MiG-21 helps with stability and control during flight, especially at the extremes of the flight envelope. This makes the aircraft safer for pilots with less skill, which helped make it popular for export to countries with limited training programs.
