How to Explain and Persuade With Just 3 Letters | #SpeakingofNumbers 05
In a perfect world, we would all explain what we want, people would agree without raising a fuss, AND everyone would go home happy.
BUT as it turns out, life isn’t that simple, and neither are people.
THEREFORE an amazing communication tool raises its hand and says, “Ooh ooh! I can help with that!” It’s a 3-letter acronym with ideas that are simple to learn, trickier to implement well, but incredibly clear and persuasive when you do.
(Hint: I just used it.)

Every moment of every day, our brains are sorting through an insane number of inputs, trying to make sense of the world. As we do, we end up connecting all sorts of meaning to everything we experience, from the most basic object - or number - to the most complex idea. When we discover those connections and even create connections of our own, we have an incredibly powerful tool for creating emot...

It’s time to pull back the curtain on the key to understa...

We all know communication is important for business success. But we also know that a lot of communication is disposable and annoying. But tunnel vision with communication isn’t wise either - whether you’re a solo operator or you’re leading an internal team or a huge company. How do we stay focused on...

Here’s the crazy thing about storytelling - most of us do it all the time, so we think we know what it is. But at one point or another, we’ve all experienced storytelling at another level, and we know there’s a lot more that goes into it than what we might think. Strategic Storytelling exists in forms you already recognize, but it also exists in a bigger form that you probably DON’T recognize, ...

If you’re an expert or a professional advisor, do NOT start a podcast, a RUclips channel, or posting on social media without having a big picture plan in place first. If you just blindly start executing things without that plan, there’s a very good chance that you’ll put a lot of energy into something that probably isn’t getting you results you and your business need. 1:06, there is another way called a "Flat Character Arc" where instead of the character changing for the better, or worse, they change the world around them. Some good examples are James Bond and Indiana Jones. Hope this helps!
I'm knowingly insulting them. Have been for roughly 21 years. They dont pick up on social cues or bluntly stated truth. I think they have a mental disability.
1. Unfair advantege requires loads of personal growth 2. Learning takes into becoming more effective 3. Communities are underestimated recently
Why are gems like these sitting in the corner
What a good advice ty man .. im good in editing with my potato laptop and spending 17 hours in the day work hard but i will never stop ❤
this podcast series is truly next level. and just as you predicted, I want to say thx you for this. Can’t wait to watch the final one.
Funny how you mentioned "X" platform before "X" yet was LoL :DDD
Great video very underrated channel, im trying to apply this to short form content in another completely different language hope it goes well. Thank you❤
It was helpful!
This is such an amazing content
mind = blown. If you want to become better at storytelling, this is truly worth it.
I found this useful. Thanks man. 💖💖👏👏
Is there a way to stop getting ideas? I have been keeping notes on full novel ideas I have been collecting over this year, i just finished writing my 2nd novel and started my 3rd, in the same time i have 30 well thought out ideas that could most likely support an entire novel each by them self.
why dont u make the video less coz the 40 mint is allot
and the background is distrubing so make the light less and try to soften the light in your face
do small motion graphic it will make your video more intresting 😘
Hello! Next week I’m filming a very special video (2,000 subscriber special) where we take some off-road vehicles to some trails in Colorado and test them to their limits. However I don’t know how the video will go, for example something could break down, we could get stuck in bad weather, we could get lost, etc. How can I best approach this and be prepared to shoot it so that I can edit it so it makes sense? Any tips will help!
digital gold right here.
It's interesting to hear where Javier started and what brought him to this point. Very inspiring!
UGH Too much unrelated footage I'm sure this video is fun to watch... I'm just so desperate it feels frustrating. It's not you. It's me. Just uh, maybe keep in mind when trying to help the frustrated, they may be impatient...
Best idea ever. You have changed me now!
How do you write sitcoms where there can’t be change because the status quo of the characters has to remain the same and reset for the beginning of the next episode?
You lost me at "The thing under the Thing"!
Thanks for sharing 👍
Not wearing Nike during the video was a rather large oversight 😅.
Amazing

Thanks for all the wonderful information! I am thoroughly enjoying your lessons Also, I couldn't help but notice, but it seems you're missing a video card @6:47 for the video about "super smooth editing"
New subscriber, loved every bit of it. Off to write the thread 🧵on X. I wish one day, l could invite Jeff as a guest to speak to my private beginner storytelling community. Thank you for the free value, Jeff.
Wow, today l discovered a genius! One that can simplify complicated storytelling concepts to the barest of levels for the average Joe and Jolly like myself. I am off to write a thread 🧵of this video on my X timeline @theNankumba. My beginner personal storyteller community needs this. Thank you, Jeff.
So you asked a question and didn’t answer it ?
Maybe next time he can fix it .just give him time to fix it .thank you.
Thank you good sir !
Thank you for this excellent succinct video on storytelling.
Hi and thank you for this informative video that says it all in a succinct way.
WOOOW, I never would've thought of that.. Thank you
Thank You for the helpful tips.
just by radio music video doesnt use it
watching in 2023 without video stabilization. However, useful info.
So interesting how you combined personal and business communications. Great video.
Make sure you check out Part 2 when it drops!
Another quality video. Thanks for the great content.
Most welcome. 😊👍
Hey Jeff. I knew there was a bigger reason I liked you. ✝️ And thanks for teaching us how to tell stories.
My pleasure. Thanks Terry!

Not getting the point of this video? Rambling to get watch time?
Thanks for this advice! As a new channel, we often get caught in the dilemma of how much editing to do for our GenX comedy vlogs. We're taking different approaches from doing very minimal editing to in one case for one video I spent an extreme amount of time editing trying to create a completely different experience for the viewer by creating word art for every single word caption. I did this because it was a single talking Head video and figured I could really add to the viewer experience with word art. If this video takes off then it may be worth spending the extra time but at this point like you said it's all about choices. Thanks for your great content! Sincerely, Eric & Tara
Jeff great video and great tips! And it's a small world - You're in California and you have family in Ohio and we're originally from Southern California and we now live in Ohio. And yes the winters are very beautiful here. Thanks again for your videos! Sincerely, Eric & Tara
Jeff, so happy to have found you from Nick and Dee Nimmin's channels. They talked about your channel on a live they did the other day. We're really excited to explore your content. This is the first video we've watched of yours and we immediately subscribed because we immediately see the value. We are impressed with not only your podcast style but the fact you brought on a guest that some may perceive as controversial because his channel involves firearms. We love how you kept it focused on the creative aspect and how he integrated two distinct niches. It's clear the key to success on RUclips is being authentic. We just launched our RUclips channel 3 weeks ago. And while our views and impressions were great right out of the gate they have quickly declined. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that our authenticity to being ourselves regardless of what people think is the key to our GenX vlog and comedy success. Looking forward to explore more of your content and to future videos. Thanks for all your efforts and your videos! Sincerely, Eric & Tara ❤
