2 laps around Sebring with the camera mounted where you can see driver inputs. Took it kind of easy on these laps just working on smoothness, my line, and just having fun without pushing the car very hard. Forgot to turn off video stabilization which is why the video seems to pan about in turns. Won't forget next time! 2017 Mustang GT. Borla Sport Catback exhaust. Performance Driving Group (PDG...

2017 Mustang GT Track Night in America PBIR

First session lap around PBIR with traffic. 20 cars in Novice group that night so was tough to get open track in front of me. Discovered that the microphone placement caused some static at high revs. Moved the microphone to a different location in later sessions.
Impressive smooth landing
An example of over controlling if ever there was, compare how the auto pilot moves the controls compared to this guy
Which makes this plane the fastest private jet? Is it the 37 degree swept wing, or is it something else?
Could have been a good video without all the fast forward crap.
Very nice!
too bad Cessna does not make this jet anymore.
Aspen is can be tricky for a missed approach. Rising terrain on three sides, high density altitude during summer months. Been in there many times, very scenic indeed.
Wow. I just got pushed back in my sofa chair!
That descent and landing was beautiful😍
Love the videos!
The longest taxing I've ever seen...might as well refill the gas tank...unbelievable
Almost all these youtubers taking the easy "15" approach... Live a little and fly the hard "33" approach like Premier 1 driver! The steady blare of "terrain terrain terrain, pull up pull up pull up" makes it salty!
Wow even at that altitude she gets down the runway and into the air quickly.
Lovely!
The airport is the best place on Marco Island.
you put together a great video
Thank you
Very nice!
These jets can cruise above 50,000
yes that's what i have seen in advertisements. insane. i believe they claimed to be the fastest jet in its class or something like that.
100% True! 51,000ft.
Very Very Nice!!!
40,30,20,10 BUTTAH! Smooth.
That's one hell of a glideslope. Did you deploy spoilers?
No. But I was fully configured and at target approach speed just after the Red Table VOR. If I wasn’t configured and slowed down before starting down hill I would have needed them.
I would give anything to fly that beast, how do you fly where you do?
Certainly not an overnight process. A few years of building time, gaining experience, then applying to and getting hired by a good company.
@@walk.drive.fly. definitely one day, I'm sittin at 500 hours right now, what would be a good company to look out for?
@@SSFlyer You would probably need some connection or to know someone to reccomend you to fly citation x
Man, what are the odds of getting in the right seat of one of those beauties?
Hey! Are you still flying the Citation X?
Yes, I am.
@@walk.drive.fly. Lucky you! I’m finishing off my ATPLs here in Australia and I’m wanting to move to the U.S to convert my license and apply for work. I’ve only got 400 hours though. Do you have any advice where I could start looking?
That’s always the big question. I think there’s a lot of benefits to going the flight instructor route. Search for the “aviation career mentorship” page on Facebook. That topic gets talked about often and while the answers aren’t always what people like to hear, there is a lot of information and knowledge in that group. “Corporate aviation job listings” is another good group to look for on FB.
@@walk.drive.fly. thanks a lot for the advice! Do you have an Instagram or something I can follow you on?
I do not. Sorry.
I hate flying into that place
If I never had to fly in there again, I can’t say it would hurt my feelings.
Nice & close shot of landing. Cool vid!
Greased that one!!
Is there a reason you pump the yoke like that to land? Just curious. I’m a new pilot
It was a bit of a gusty day which adds to the inputs needed. I’d say in theory it’s mostly due to use of a technique called “sampling the response”. Check out this video ruclips.net/video/_pye9V8q-6k/видео.html
PIO... pilot induced oscillation. He's a copilot too and probably lacks experience
i realize it is pretty off topic but does anybody know of a good site to watch newly released movies online?
Seems like overcontrolling to me, but I don't fly a Citation X.
Nice. I go to pbir once a month on my bike. What group are you going with and how do I find the schedule. Really wanna take my car there and do some laps.
I ran intermediate group in this event. It was put on by PBIR itself “PBIR Street Car Track Day”. I’ve also gone with Performance Driving Group and have plans to go with Hooked on Driving. Racepbir.com usually shows the full track schedule regardless of which entity is running the event, so I’d start there if you specifically want PBIR.
@@walk.drive.fly. yes, thank you. Just wanna run my lincoln and compare to my bike for fun. I ran a best of 132.4 or .2 on Sunday on the bike.
My cousin killing it in the ferd
;)
What have you done to the car mods wise? Not so much power adders, but for track prep?
Only prep mods are PowerStop Track Day brake pads, Motul RBF600 brake fluid, and Royal Purple rear end lubricant. Aside from a catback exhaust, the car is fully stock.
@@walk.drive.fly. I'm going with NASA the last weekend of February. I'm doing the same brake fluid, going with Hawk DTC60 pads and Amsoil 75-140 for the Diff. What were you seeing for cyl head, coolant and oil temps?
@@terrysherman8646 I was able to find coolant temp in my data log and highest temp I saw after a quick look was 225°. Can’t seem to find oil or cylinder head temps in the log. It’s been nearly a year but low 230s for Cylinder head seems to ring a bell. Oil temp I recall being near the top of the normal arc, but never getting above that. I’ve got a track day coming up in a couple weeks, I’ll try to get you a more accurate estimate.
@@walk.drive.fly. Going back to Sebring? My car is a performance pack and what I did is swap out the center gauges with a GT350 so I have oil temp and oil pressure. I'm hoping the weather will still be cold-ish.
@@terrysherman8646 actually PBIR next. The gauge swap is a great idea. Pretty simple swap or more involved?
What is the average vertical speed here ? I suppose that is not 3 dergees glideslope.
I know right

@@Kondour Many thanks !
were you green group
PDG doesn’t use colors for groups (beginner, intermediate, advanced). I was in the beginner group which I imagine would be Chin’s green group.
@@bpena ahhh yes i see!
Nice smooth driving buddy, looking forward to seeing you at the next one!!
Thanks Hal! One of these days I may get out of the Novice group so that I can actually have some time to interact with and watch some other drivers like yourself ;)
