안녕하세요 저도발칸1500있는데 스로틀을당기면 진동이 너무심해요 발란스 뎀퍼 문제인가요?
How do u get the head free from the cam chain?
Do you remember how you got the camchain guide out? Mine wiggles, but won't come out. The manuals I have are silent on how they actually come out. I'm tempted to clamp onto it with vice grips (with wood actually touching the guide) and seeing if I can get it out with a rubber mallet hammering the grips.
here in August 2023. I took a test ride on a Kawasaki Vulcan voyager that is for sale on craigslist. I have been around motorcyclist for decades, I found dozens and dozens. I’ve had three Venture’s, a Goldwing, BMW, K 1200 LT, big touring bikes, and I’ve always had other bikes at the same time, sport, bikes, commuters, not counting dirt, bikes, and trials bikes, and rode racing machines. i had quite a few Kawasaki’s.. I never heard a loud or transmission on every shift then on that Vulcan Voyager for video on RUclips of the test ride. What the heck causes that metal slamming sound in the gearbox. I know they are called crash boxes, or at least they used to be. In the case of the Kawasaki voyager, that literally is a crash box. no, I couldn’t understand shift forks, getting bent, or even breaking a shift shift because of the way people hammered their shifters like they were Kickstarter’s or foot pegs. People don’t realize they are not foot pegs or Kickstarter’s. They are shift levers.. But what goes bad in a transmission of a motorcycle? That likely was not found by someone that would hammer it?? Did they risk their foot on the shifter? Did they run the machine low on oil? Did they have bad shifting habits? Did they wind first gear way up and then slam it in the second. I have never had transmission issues on any of the 108 motorcycles I have had.. Not even on my road racing machines, or better yet, not even on my 125 motocross bikes.. I have had clutch basket ware That prevented the clutch from disengaging, because of the dense the fiber clutch plates, put in the clutch basket where they extend out of the clutch basket assembl.. those tabs on the friction plates actually wore dents into the clutch basket, preventing the tabs from sliding freely to disengage the clutch. But inside the gearbox, I’ve never had a failure that was not oil related, or lack of oil related… What is different about a Kawasaki transmission on these Vulcans? I am seeing videos of worn input shaft, where the clutch slides onto, the splines are shot.. I’m surprised
This guy needs to learn what to NOT skip in making his videos. Some of us would LIKE to see the parts he's skipping... SMH... That's why i'm NOT liking his videos. He might as well show the engine before he starts the work , then show the engine back together AFTER the wortk...
Wondering if you could help me out with a problem I have with a vn1500 meanstreak 2003 I got a while back the speedometer was broken so not sure of mileage The bike was running ruff but had been sitting a while I ran her with injection cleaner etc and got her goin I noticed she was using oil I had to top her up considerably but doesn’t appear to be putting out any smoke etc actually runs fine I then decided to fit the cam chain extensions on the adjusters When I took them out they where at full adjustment Could have been like that for a long time Well I fitted the extensions And when checking the oil Assy filter at the sump there was like a thin piece of plastic and what appeared to be like a hard foam which I suspect is the the cam blade I have rode the bike since a few hundred miles Decided to do the oil again And there was a lot more of the foam I described Is it a big job to go in and replace the he blades And if I do decide to take this on Where do I start What do I need etc Do I need to replace other stuff when I’m in there etc valve seal ,gaskets Can’t afford to pay someone I’ve a lot of money in the bike as I restored it paint etc to get it where it is I would really appreciate your help and advice
This guy is one of the JUNK in tube who waist his and other time. All important lessons should show to all people but he is trash.
Como eu consigo contato com voce? precisava tirar umas dúvidas desse motor
I was waiting to see the installation of the gears of the starter that I never saw
Hi man what Yers is thins Vulcan ?
mi vn1500 is a 2003
Hi, I"m rebuilding my engine myself. at 01:23 minutes on part 3. you showed a small part in a package. What is the name of that part? and whats the part number...I have to get 2...please
If the balance dampners are bad can I get a low rpm vibration
Little late watching the video did not show up or talk about any torque specs
7.35 tork dem down
Is this a 1500 Meanstreak engine? If it is, the manual says to install both pistons with the arrows pointing toward the front of the engine like you did. I am assuming it is a Meanstreak as I think the pistons only have an arrow as a directional marking. Other models, such as the Drifter, will have an "EX" for exhaust side while the Classic has an arrow with an "F"for front of engine.
Thank you for that info!! I have an '03 1500 Classic that I'll be rebuilding soon and that's helpful!! Your comment is more useful than this guys videos!! Smh... Lol.
@@donwolfjr1 Thanks man, it's really tricky with these bikes. You really have to pay attention to the direction the pistons were in and always put the pistons back in the cylinder it came out of if you're not replacing them. Now, if you're honing the cylinders to remove the glazing and replacing the rings, then all that matters is if the pistons are still within tolerances but the direction they go in is essential or you will have scuffing issues. These 1500 Vulcans all seem to have different piston markings and directions. I know this because I rebuilt an engine out of two that came from a mechanic school. Didn't even know what year they were. I had to do some serious detective work to figure it out. Let me know if you need any help.
Just subbed, know this is a few years old now but it's very useful, about to strip my 87 VN15, has the dreaded second gear slip, been told it's the dog clutches in the box, going to restore the whole bike though.
hi thanks let me know how tou get on with the job if you allready done it and glad the vid helps
I doing a build myself
So how's it going with the build ?
What year engine is it mate ?.
Hello good afternoon, excuse me I hope and you can answer some questions in relation to the assembly of the engine, since mine was taken apart and the bike did not fit well, at the beginning I thought it was the time, but after investigating and being able to put it on time, there was no time left Well, I kept believing it was the time, however check and the weather is fine, the problem is that the motorcycle the sound is not normal, it is very ugly, for a motor pump. In short, I am almost sure the valves were damaged, since when assembling the engine they put the camshafts upside down and did not start, or the crankshaft and crankshaft counterweight are incorrectly synchronized. At the time of the gun, are both pistons in top dead center? At the time of setting the engine, which as such the manual states to put the front piston first and then the rear piston, do you turn the crankshaft counterclockwise? (So the manual also marks) How far do you turn until you reach the second mark (r)? it's for the rear piston. 310 degrees or about 50 degrees.
where did you get the gearbox?looks new.
Get all mi parts from the USA have famly ther and a frend owns a big bike braker yard ther got that from him £100 a can get parts cheep than uk like got a few parts for ppl as well
life saver
Rest of the b8ke build b coming bout middle of January
Thanks for all your comments
maybe use a tripod :))
I think you'll find that those steel balls are to prevent shifting in to second gear from neutral when you are stopped.
Thanks for input had a idear was 1 or other thanks
