No one I know of goes to this sort of trouble to have a custom frame produced for their paintings.

I knew this guy Scott. He was a character. Haven't seen him around town for a couple of years, so I think he passed. He was really skinny last time I saw him. He claimed he was gypsy and then band was called the Atascadero gypsies.

Дело не в том что они плохие люди дело в том что несмотря на развитие частного сектора . Именно если руководитель является аборигеном то его наемные рабочие всю вечность будут долбить киркой в пещере и думая что именно они создают первый в мире шедевр.

Жалко что не оценят. А местные папуасы даже и не знают что давно изобрели пантограф. Но в России дела обстоят также в плане профессионализма. Аборигены Поволжья тоже до сих пор долбят в речную.

I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say "the plans for the square". However know that all designs given to me from clients remain their own. I do not distribute my customers designs. If you have an idea you would like to work on, I will be more than happy to discuss or create something based on an idea which you might like.

@BombVoyagee Each side is one long piece of Golden Teakwood. Other than the Bee figures which are separate little carvings and which were attached later, all other carving was done out of those long segments of wood. The corner seams are hidden by carved Bee disc overlay pieces.

Thank you however I should clarify that I personally do not do the actual wood carving. I choose a carver whom I feel has the talents best suited for the project. I then produce and art direct the piece based on interpretation of concepts and layout drawings, which in this case were done by Mark himself.

After researching the maker of Mark Ryden's frames, I finally located Sean Riley's name on a Mark Ryden art thread. I commissioned a custom teak frame, that is not only mind-blowingly beautiful but I reasonable price. Tiki Thai is legit.

@amsterdamlove As with anything, cost is determined by size and the amount of detail. A frame such as this one, made from Golden Teakwood would cost in the neighborhood of $12,000/15,000. That is without the finish which Mark had done in an antiqued gold. The cost of a much smaller frame and without all the insane amount of detail could go for a few thousand dollars. Send me a sketch or layout with sizes for a more accurate estimate.

Just how much does one of those frames run for? for this one as an example? seems like it would cost a buttload, its breathtaking.
