How to Replace a Front Brake on a Buick Verano rake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or groove
How to replace timing solenoid under 5 minutes on a Buick Verano
Просмотров 35 тыс.3 года назад
How to replaced Timing solenoid under five minutes ( Buick Verano 2013) which is solved by replacing the VVT solenoid (intake). This vechicle has 2.4L ecotec engine and will solve in most cases error code P0011. This video will related to the following keywords: VVT solenoid, P0011
Thanks bro, saved me mega bucks
I just had one solenoid replaced at the dealership 639.00. I knew I was getting ripped off but what are you going to do when she needs that car. Isn't it a shame that people wonder why they lose business. I don't trust any of them anymore. Scam artists that's why I think the next vehicle will be a Toyota or Honda. I would rather spend money on something reliable then pieces of crap.
Could this issue cause sputtering when I shut the engine off and loss of power when going at lower speeds or trying to get up and go from a stop light
Thank You for the Video!!! I am cleaning my throttle body and blades today - also going to change these and do some fuel treatment on a Buick Verano 2017 - Great Vid very helpful
thanks a lot... the code never come up again?
Merci pour votre vidéo
When using the clamp to put piston back in caliper, does it click into place and stay?
I had to call my EX 🙄 for this yesterday! I’m almost 60 yrs old. I’ma do this myself!!! THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO!
thanks for the background beeps! close the doors or push the start button to OFF!
What you showed is why you SHOULD get your brakes professionally done. No lube, no slider pin check and lube, no emery cloth to clean the surfaces of the caliper and pad bracket, and pushing the piston back with a cringeworthy method. I'm sure I forgot more, but it was hard to watch. Don't so what this guy did, go to another channel. Shit. Maybe I should post one to make sure there is an alternative to this.
Gotta customer same codes only her car shut off every time u stall..even when backing up
I never touch electricity with battery connected 😂😂 gud video tho
U kept battery connected n it still work?
For me, yes
Do you have any oil consumption with this vehicle? Mines burns a little 2012 61k miles. Just did the solenoids due to stalling at stop and go and running rough.
Great video, my 2016 Verano has 63,000 miles on it and had it diagnosed, and same part 🫡
I have a 2013 with 55k and same issue.
Amazon for $23
Excellent video 📹! Thanks for taking your time to share this with us!
Is this the oil variable value control solenoid ??
I know he just bought that 10mm ain’t no one can ever find there’s when they need
I can’t pull the clamps off the solenoid 😢
Complete lol, about a month ago your video randomly popped up on my feed, today, out of the blue my wife texts me her car stalled and the CEL is on, when I scanned it, I got the P0011 code. My dealer is closer than the parts store, just picked up and swapped the sensors. Thanks for the video.
Thanks my brotha i definitely appreciate it
👊🏻
Thanks for the great explaination. I've been taking the whole thing off. This is much easier.
I’m in the process of doing this exact fix. I appreciate the how to. You definitely saved me time and money. 👍🏽🔥
The tab is not a guide It's a wear indicator
Thank you for your video
Thanks, bud! Good video!
Great video bro! My in law just got the p0010 code which im guessing is the intake vvt solenoid. I'll be replacing this tomorrow. I might just repalce both to preventbfrom coming back and have to replace the other later. Thanks again!
How much was everything?
Great video thank you sir. My car was doing the same thing. ❤
You should clean and lubricate your slide pins. Depending on model of brake pad, you should also apply anti squeal to the pad back
My Verano say engine reduced power what could be wrong
When was the last time you did tune up?
Mines is doing the same thing but now it won’t start. Just keep saying engine reduced but my cam shaft position sensor was replaced and both solenoids now it won’t start. No codes! What can it be?
Glad I found this. Why the hell are people working so hard. I changed my breaks in about 40 minutes then did my neighbor's. You got me coochie and a home cooked meal bruh.
🫵🏾 deserve it
😂😂😂😂
What brakes do you recommend?
PowerStop Performance Brake Pads
Great job Man 👍. Great video 👍!
You welcome
Thanks Bro. My mom's taking her 2016 on like a 1500 mile road trip and was just gonna leave it that way. I was able to fix it for her.
I’m glad I can help

good stuff
Thanks 🙏🏽
Bruh Midas tried charging me $500 for this specific service
they trying to rip you off
How do you replace the pcv valve? My 2014 verano is using to much oil. I'm hoping that all it is.
Was anyone able to order both the intake & exhaust solenoids together? All the ones I saw for Buick models 2016 and later were sold together which makes sense to me. I was told by several certified mechanics that my fuel was "running rich". I translated it to be there is too much oil/fuel or both running through my valves and this affects things like mileage and the timing in the camshaft. And naturally this can lead to more serious and expensive problems so just take care of it while/ if you can afford it. Hopefully fixing this will remedy the CE light and get my vehicle to pass inspection.
You can at your local automotive shop
Thanx Bro!! I got a p0013 code and it pointed to the exhaust actuator. Part number was 12679100, which was the black tipped solenoid. Awesome video Bro...thanx again for the help!! 👊🏽
No problem
Should probably grease the back of the pads or they may squeak.
Always use that grease
Thank you for saving me money
dude! thanks for the video. My daughter has been having the same issue and weve been getting the run around. im doing this tomorrow!
👍👍👍👍👍!! You need to research 'Promo SM'!
Hey Chief you need to close your door and turn ignition OFF before performing any kind of electrical/ engine work. Even if it's not dangerous you're still consuming battery power. (I made my first comment BEFORE I watched the video. 👀
Why would you bleed the system after changing pads?
Thank you
You welcome
Ok so I have the screws off but can’t get the old cams out
Grab it with needle-nose pliers use
