WELCOME to my Fishing Channel, I'm Adria. I was born and raised in South Florida where it all started, my family enjoyed fishing and I grew up fishing beaches, piers and charter boats. Never did I think I would be doing this competitively today. I am very passionate about fishing that I became a USCG Licensed Captain where I run charters out of Venice, FL.
My Channel is going to teach you how to catch fish and my techniques I use, how to clean and cook your catches. I fish mainly Offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. You will also find on my Channel all the rigs and set ups I use to catch fish, along with product reviews. Let me know if there is something specific you would like for me to share with you.

Fishing Marathon Florida Keys - Deep Drop and Trolling
In this episode we go to Marathon Florida Keys to celebrate my birthday. We got everything ready and traveled down from Venice, FL with our big boat. We stayed in a nice airbnb on the water where we docked our boat which was so convenient.
Growing up near Miami when I was little we would go down to the keys to fish bridges so Marathon Florida Keys has always felt like home. We spent 5 days fishing and learning drifts and dealing with current. The bite was tough for us but I got to dial in my @GarminInt@GarminInt electronics and thru-hull transducer from AirMar while being in deeper water.
The first couple days we were deep dropping and trolling managed to get a couple new species for mysel...

I enjoyed your video. You may get better relief shading using a different transducer, maybe GT51, but I think it's doing pretty well. You might talk to Garmin tech support about it and see what transducer would work best for you in depths up to 200 to 300 ft. Just an idea.

Enjoyed your video Adria. Love Marathon Key for all the different species of fish you can target so close to land. Beats running 150 miles from Venice Fl to target deep-drop species. HA!!
@@SamMartinez65 thanks Sam! Yes I agree. I have also enjoyed the keys marathon has always been my fav growing up. So much to explore down there. Even though fishing out of Venice couple be fun, I’d say the keys is even more fun! 🤙🏻
I suggest you add a camera to your deep drop. You will gain a lot from it in terms of what is going on down there. An Aqua-Vu Strike-Vu HD Lure Underwater Camera is less than $100 and I can confirm it works to 700 feet at least. Next time the waves drop to locals weather again I will get it tested deeper.

@@spunkito3 when reeling up fish from the deep they get what’s called barotrauma which means they get air in their swim bladder so in order to survive you have to puncture it so that the air gets released otherwise they will float and die
