Is there any way Jam could used for Mobile Apps..?
Hi there! Not currently- but this has been a highly requested feature so thanks for bringing it up again to let us know there is more interest :)
@@jamdotdev Ok, thanks for your reply🤝😊
@@yknmalayalam of course!
About to walk into the board meeting, let's do this!
Go crush it Dani 💪
I'm late but I hope it went AWESOME
Hi guys! I love your good vibes!!
Thank you so much!!
So nice to hear from you!
а на русском ?)))
So cool to hear these different perspectives, especially as a designer. Loving to get to know how each of you think and how you face the challenges of building a startup
Awesome to hear. Thank you Curtis.
Yay! So happy you're enjoying the pod!
Can you express yourself without using the word like 18 times in a paragraph? Just asking
Yes! I totally agree. About 5 years ago during an interview I said "Intuition based development is very important."
Totally! It's cool to hear your experience with the same thing
@@IanMcclanan it's cool to hear this is a shared sentiment that other people value too! Thanks for sharing!
very fun to watch this! thanks for sharing :)
So glad you liked it!
Thanks for educating us on this
I love Chris' take on intuition as a form of data
This was a fun one to record! Hope it resonates with other startup builders out there designing onboarding flows :)
It's been so fun listening to this series about how you all are building Jam and why you're doing what you do. I agree with Dani, there is something nice about opinionated design. It's good to keep in mind that there is a time and place for design with a lot of flexibility (non-opinionated design), especially for tools or products that are more of all-in-one solutions. I see Jam as such a specific tool for a specific pain point set, so having a strong opinion on how your product works and why it exists can be really powerful for you. You mentioned Brian Lovin, and his product Campsite is a perfect example of this. If you take a look at their blogs that they call "field guides" you can read some great examples of their strong opinions about their product and how it solves the problems in their problem space ⏤ which a lot of them stem from the strong problems we've seen from the era of work chat apps as a solution to email. Oh! Also... Chris and Dani have a great point when it comes to intuition. There is something to be said about intuition being our subconscious helping us based on all of our past experiences and all of the bits of information that we take in. That could be user feedback, past experiences, etc. I think there is something else about being able to take risks and make bets without being 100% dependent on having data to make a decision, especially if you are trying to do something new and novel.. Plus you can always test and iterate after something is shipped, and you can even ship it in an iterative way (keeping in mind knowing where you want to go for the blue sky version) mitigating risk along the way. Can't wait to see more of these videos from you all! Such an exciting time for you and your product⏤keep up the good work 🔥
Quick question. You wouldn't happen to know the dates palo alto delivery starred would you

A lot of tools for engineers 👀 Here are some tools that I love to use as a designer: Raycast, Bartender, Rise Calendar, CleanShot X, PixelSnap, Screen Studio, Craft Docs and MacGPT.
Great list! Is true that most of our team is engineers at this point- hence the focus here on the dev tools. These are so great though, thank you for sharing. This is making me think I should do a follow up, but just on ones for designers. PixelSnap is particularly interesting. Have never seen anything like that before.
you need a pair of everything including designers. having people bounce off ideas who speak the same language or is in the same "trench" is very empowering.
Great point here- I found it was really helpful to be added to the marketing team at the same time as Ivanha for this reason exactly
I think this is my favorite episode so far - so fun to look at old Figmas!
I felt like I got a lot better of a sense for early-stage design in this episode- appreciate the convo, team
I like this video!
Well, thank you 😄let us know if there are any topics you'd like us to cover going forward
These have been fun to record - PS if you're a designer listening to this... :)
I love Notion, this one is extra special to see go live.
Jamming in Notion! My nerd dreams are coming true!
This is beautiful, kind of like Cadquery.

Thanks for the rec here- I've got to check it out 😄
Comfortable with a blank canvas. I love it.
Content Market Fit, I love it
It's awesome seeing Ian and Ivanha dive into the world of Jam marketing and taking it from 0 to 1. The owl video experiment and "Content-Market Fit" discussion were super interesting! 🦉💡
Those two were my favorite too!! Ian's take on Content-Market Fit really got me in the marketing feels.
This was so fun! Ian, so cool to hear you think about software video art 💜
I love this!! Go Ian and Ivanha!
😊
tools for windows people or equivalents plz.
Thanks for the suggestion. Perhaps this would be a good future topic, the same thing but for windows
good tool, i would def look for JIRA, github etc.. integration for direct reporting
thanks so much for the kind shoutout! i love these open chats it reminds me a bit of early Gitlab!
Awesome to hear from you, Swyx- thanks for this
Question to all of the team: What has been a profoundly inspiring moment while working in the startup? Something that you will remember for all of your life
Super good question. For me I'd say it came at the AI Demo Night with GitHub a few months ago. To meet Jam users and see so many people who loved the craft of building things was just so special. The place was buzzing, with everyone meeting new interesting people, and seeing great demos like Uizard and Flair AI. It was just an all-around great experience.
Hi, what language are you guys using for the backend at Jam?
Hi John- it's all fullstack javascript/typescript!
Great job, Tony- loved your insight about the balance in personality types you look for in the hiring process & on the team.
The eng team is growing - what's going to break? Really fun to record with y'all and Tony!
Team! Thanks, you are doing a great job !! Don't stop )
Thank you! Let us know if there are any topics you want us to cover in future episodes 🙌
"How to boil eggs in Bogota", sounds like a startup/business analogy lol
What does it make you think? Something about pressure perhaps...
@@IanMcclanan Yeah something about pressure and different markets. Guess we'll have to tune in for the next episode to find out haha
Love that you're doing this! Can't wait for future episodes 🖤
It was so fun to do!! Thank you Jon! 🎉
Thanks Jon 🙌
Let's go!

Our pleasure - let us know if you have any ideas about subjects or format 😊
