I’ve had the rear bolt behind the trigger snap due to being overtightened and sealed with locktite by the previous owner. Was fortunately able to drill it out and remove the pieces by gently going through with thread tap. Replaced with a stainless steel bolt and will just keep an eye on it and tighten every few shots as per requirement. Considering changing to a hex bit high tensile bolts also for ease of tensioning as I have been finding the Phillips head bolts less ideal for getting good torque. I got this air rifle for a really good price second hand but am admittedly unsure if I would have bought it new for full price.

These rifles are good and heavy but there still air rifles. You gotta have the proper give and follow through. I shoot 25-75 pellets a day every day and it's like the perfect therapeutic fun. When you are that good at target, you can be even better in real world. 🤙

  • @MichaelSmith420fu

New air rifles come with factory chemicals and they will diesel on their own. That why they're extra loud and powerful at first unless you clean it from out the box. I have a pellet burried in a frying pan with the tip sticking out the other end because it was dieseling brand new.

Great find on that shipping pallet. I have made several outside showers over the years and I am amazed at the lengths people go to for privacy when there's nobody around for miles. The more you close it in, the more likely some critter will try to seek shelter... and then there's the wind trying to blow the door off. Face the opening away from the driveway (just in case) and call it a day.

Those scopes are tricky sometimes, you can't just look straight into them, you may have to move around to get a good angle. I got it working right later that day. I thought I was going to have to return it at first. Works great now that I figured it out. Thanks for the reply.

I think something you guys aren't taking into account is that generally speaking these rounds weigh 7-10 grains and projectiles that small are significantly affected by wind in comparison to thins like real firearms.

Mine was loud and smoking for the first 5-10 shots also. I figured out it was the factory oil they put in to keep the rifling or whatever from rusting, causing dieseling. Put some generic Vapor Rub in appellate skirts, about halfway full or so, And it's right back to shooting hypersonic pellets with smoke coming out of the barrel
