Can you please tell me about the solution of the problem . I have the same problem of blinking orange light but after out and in of the toner cartridge several times. The printer get ready for print. But after several hours the same problem raised again. What should i need to do with it?

Thank you for sharing this. My HP1200 printer has been a work horse for me for the last 15 years, plus no annoying instant ink requirements as it uses oem cartridges. Took me a couple of attempts to get the soldering right, but it worked. Printers seem designed to fail and go to landfill, so it felt good stopping that. Without your video I wouldn't have had a clue. Kudos to you for taking the time to share your knowledge with others.

Does not work, changed feed roller, separator and still same problem. Paper tray removed then prints 1 sheet of paper fine. Then same error, Paper tray removed then prints 1 sheet of paper. how to fix?

Hello, I have exact the same. After changing the roller its not better. Now I know its the solenoid. But what kind of tape you use? Is it magnetic tape? or normal paper or plastic tape?

Hello. The printer works but does not print, the pages are always blank. I renewed the toner and cleaned it, but the result did not change. Will it be fixed if I replace the solenoid?

Fantastic! My 1018 jammed paper by grabbing too much sheets at once everytime. Changed pickup roller - no luck. With tape on solenoid issue resolved. Works like a charm.

Very useful vid ,gave it a like. Mine were still okay but replaced those 2 and another two 47µF on that ECU board with low ESR types. Remember to check the page feed solenoid for perished foam. Its just under the fan on the right hand side. The foam was supposed to be a sound damper but when it perishes, it gets sticky and the solenoid doesnt release. This causes many pages to be fed and results in paper jams. On my one, I just cleaned off the foam with acetone and glued on a small slice of cork with double sided tape.

In printer port ... I don't have USB001 in options ... what should I do ?

Hello! So my paper was working well and a paper got stuck inside. I open the back to get that paper out. There are two green levers on each side. i accidentally broke the right one and now the orange light is blinking. I have tried everything except the capacitors. Could you tell my what could be the problem and how do i fix it? Thankyou!

My problem with paper jam 0 started from replacing tape on silenoids... everything seems to be fine, but printer is not catching paper... and goes to error.

Judging where the capacitors are located, it appears that they are in a power supply.

ok. I got it all apart and I'm drunk as a fiddler on the whiskey I drank while doing it. I'm sitting in the middle of a bunch of pieces, other than the ones the cats knocked under the sofa. I have no idea where any of them go, but I'm pretty sure I swallowed a bolt. What next?

THK U! this is tray 2 solenoid? but how we solve same problem with tray 1? is there any easy access to tray 1 solenoid? which type of tape do U use?

I tried cleaning the molten foam in the solenoid as @mfelician suggested. The solenoid didn’t stick any more. However, the paper still gets stuck after printing the first page. What else can I check?
