I really never followed Gary but till recently, there was something quite special about his playing. Besides amazing skill, I think it was his passion when playing that I admire, he really feels the music!

I grew up in Peoria area in 1970s. I saw REO for first time in 1976 at a stadium in East Peoria area, with KISS. There was a near riot that day as people were trying to get in free.

It's hard watching Gary in this condition knowing what's waiting for him around the corner a short time after this concert. RIP.

This tortures me because I am old and I know of hopes and wishes and dreams and choices. I lived this with this band and I can only be here doing with them what they are doing at this time. I am only me and they are them. I will not judge. I am happy to see them together for the moment because i know they never stopped loving each other. I think of this as a family and not as a band. Love is sometimes hard and it hurts. It is worth it to be honest. I miss the band being "perfect" as it was. Define perfection and I will show you how much better perfection can and will be if we can fix it for you if you allow it. I can also show you what perfect felt like from my own perspective and let you decide on your own . I wasn't there and it isn't my place to decide for someone else's anything. I appreciate being allowed to enjoy this and Thank You to the members of the band :)

As I watch this video for the 100th time, that is a happy man playing his guitar. Sure, we can all see the physical effects of alcohol and drugs abuse on Gary’s body….but his rock and roll soul is there…alive and well. Listen to the crowd…they love him…and so do I. God bless him. ❤️🙏❤️
