Before I make a bunch of videos telling you what I think about your vehicle, I figured you might want to know who I am. What kind of knowledge and experience I have. I shrunk this video considerably, but wanted to keep it as short as possible. I love my job and dont think enough people know what we offer, or what we are about. My hope is that these videos will shine light on that. Let us show y...

😊good work 👏
Thank you, they are proving rather challenging to make. I am glad it is helping.
some engines just don't care about oil. Our 90 Tempo 2.3 got the oil pan bolt stripped at 40,000 miles, my Mom didn't want to pay the $400 to fix it, as she said "We will just trade it off", well at 132,000 miles(90,000 miles on the same oil), we still had it, it was still running like new, we sold it for $200 to a neighborhood kid and his Dad and he drove it 3 months and flipped it over. My elderly Aunt accidently put 60,000 miles on her 03 Marquis before she realized it and it was still fine.
That strategy doesn't work very well for the vast majority of cases in my experience. Ultimately, the choice to perform maintenance is everyones to make individually. I just want to give my customers my professional opinion to help them prolong the reliability of their vehicles. That all.
Great information Steve on Power Steering, after reviewing your video, I feel good about you, Brandon, Chris, & the rest of your staff, changing/flushing my Power Steering system!… I might be coming up on that maintenance item again!…
Thanks Lance, we look forward to seeing you!
One Tranny fluid doesn't fit all Car's. My Toyota Camry has had Toyota W.S Fluid since new. U don't wonna use some generic Tranny Fluid in a Toyota, Or Hyundai & On and on.
That is true, mostly. I have done a lot of homework on this subject. Distributors have a hard time with me because I dont just take a salesman's word, I need to see the facts. The truth is, most transmission fluid (and many other fluids for that matter) are made from the same base stock, which is such high quality at this point that the differences in specs are not as varied as some may think. All it takes to meet the specification of one manufacturers fluid is to just add an additive or two. As long as those additives don't interfere with another specification, it works great. Its like using mobil 1 instead of house brand X, you cant go wrong with a higher grade or specification. We have a very detailed list of fluids that are covered in the additive packages in the Havoline ATF we use. But, all that said, I understand if someone just wants the fluid out of the OES bottle. We carry those as well and can absolutely do that.
If I'm not mistaken, low tension piston rings also increase power a bit as well and what racing motors were/are equipped with
It would make sense that they would allow the engine to make more power by not holding it back.
Wow Steve, I had no idea about all this info. on brake fluid!… All this stuff is going to be on the test, huh?
Thanks Lance. I am glad you enjoy them. I have had fun making them. I started making shorts too. They will be out soon.
Very educational, thank you!!
You are very welcome sir, thanks for watching. I hope these help the community.
Great video truly explains the need for regular oil changes, I change oil every 4000 miles full synthetic and alway new oil filter.
Thank you for the feedback Jon. Great job, your vehicle will serve you well with that mindset.
Great transmission video Steve!… & Differential, Transfer-case info. also!
Thanks Lance! I have been talking about doing this for years. It is really cool to be able to do it.
Hey, very good explanation. Really liked it.
You are very welcome, thank you for the feedback!
Current "low tension" Piston rings are Worthless crap. Who's ONLY reason for existence is Slightly better Fuel mileages.. Period !
I am not an engineer, but I understand why they are used. We just do our best to help people deal with things that we can't change. Understanding the problem and how to avoid it is what we are after.
I’ve specialized in rebuilding primarily Asian import engines for years and the use of low tension rings coupled with ever increasing oil change intervals have created oil consumption problems which various manufacturers. NPR has been a prominent supplier of rings for the biggest names in the Asian market. I’ve had great success using aftermarket premium rings from Hastings and several others. Hastings and Sealed Power both offer steel rings with either chrome or moly coatings that work great. Toyota produced one engine in particular that was notorious for oil consumption due to its rings clogging up and I’ve used it as a test vehicle for Aftermarket rings coupled with sound oil change intervals. The owner of the car puts crazy amounts of highway miles on the car and it’s got about 225K miles on it since it had an inframe refresh and it still has very little oil consumption between 5K interval oil changes. Usually about 1/2-3/4 of a qt.
Low tension rings aren't crap. We have been using them in the racing world for many years! They require the best fuel and a good synthetic Oil changed regularly 😂
Awesome Video!!!
Thanks!
