I thought maybe he was screaming "BRING OUT YOUR DEAD" because of Monty Python's Holy Grail, but this.... is way before the movie.... so???? funny coincidence really
This is pure hot blood real music .. not today's 100$ ticket, sci-fi robotic songs which are auto tuned, marketing gimmick and craps .. missing them ..
If you can remember these lyrics after hearing them for the first time when you are 18 and are now 62 then you know this is more than a weird scene inside a gold mine. This band made me forget disco forever and saved my rock and roll soul. He died on my birthday and I visited his grave in Paris to leave a note wrapped around a cork from a bottle of wine that I drank specifically for him. This was in 1997 and there were many people looking for his gravestone and for some reason people asked me where to find his grave. They didn't even speak English but they all wanted to visit the site. The opening scene from the film Apocolypse Now with this song was fantastic. I sat through the film twice while I was in an art school film class.
I can't even properly explain to my kids how amazing this band is. My son is 3, but my 2 atep daughters are 12 and 15, I am trying to get them to understand there's music life beyond Taylor Swift and every other trash singer from the past 10 years. The Doors, CCR, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motley Crue, Journey, I could go on all day. They enjoy *_some_* of the music but they dont know who it is or when it's from, or that it actually has meaning behind it that's not about relationships or murdering someone.
The End Greatest song full of danger opaque clouds sorrow pain finality immerses you in darkness of night stare into darkness agonising pain insane vision of The Shaman takes you on a ride into blackest abyss look into the darkest thoughts pictures of our minds
Magic... Get into your mind and take you somewhere else... A land we can Only imagine drunk or sober. No matter what... Your going there If you listen to this. Such Legends
Evidence that Jim was an authentic shaman. How could anyone who was there that night ever forget how seared they were by this performance? Just feel their release.
All I have to say is this The Doors the best band to ever play. Smoke a nice fat doobie and some cold ones that’s all you need…… 11/16/23 time 6:30pm….. Army Strong HooaH!!!!

Great version. Love it. Happy Birthday Jim Morrison! Dec 8th, now 2024. Blessed to listen. Ty for sharing.
O que ele diz no início?
He was a door,,
Theater at it's best
Clearly, this isn't the exact same track they used in the movie, but the vibes feel the same. I'll bet a video of this rendition would be mind blowing
I hate that people are just shouting constantly, shut the hell up and enjoy the show fgs.
Good version
