The Bach/Schiff combo gets me through hours of sleeplessness at night. There are times when the world seems like a deeper and deeper pile of sh1t, but some music reminds me that there is good in the world.

So rare and engaging ballet! The choreography is impeccable! so are the customs.

His face while playing brings to mind Blake's,"The Moon like flower in Heaven's high bower,with silent delight,sits and smiles on the Night."

Desde hace varios años escucho muy de vez en cuando esta maravilla de Bach en esta versión. Por cierto. La primera vez que la oí a András Schiff me impresionó tanto que le hice un poema que incluí en un libro (Penultimidades) que me gustaría y no sé como hacerlo llegar a este formidable intérprete. Si alguien me puede indicar las señas a las que podría mandárselo, se lo agradecería mucho.

A very beautiful performance indeed. The prima ballerina is Alina Somova (a prodigy in ballet who danced the Dance of reed flutes from The Nutcracker at a very early age). In the past, Maya Plisetskaya danced the main role (The young tsarina) in this ballet. Thank you very much for sharing this gem of Russian ballet!

This was SO good. I loved the casting, choreography, costumes. The music sounded the best I had ever heard it. Because this production is a little abstract (though gloriously acted), I am glad I watched some other productions before I saw this version. I really loved this. Thank you.

¿Cómo es posible que este excelso pianista ejecuta tanto las suites francesas como las suites inglesas con una extraordinaria y majestuosa MEMORIA casi con los ojos cerrados...cada poro de su cuerpo despide esta celestial música del genio de BACH. Cualidad muy poco común en otros legendarios pianistas que dominan el teclado. Se puede considerar a Andras Schiff como un extraterrestre o por Reencarnación del genio de BACH...

I may just be a simple deluded human being, but I really believe we will hear a lot of Bach's music in heaven. These melodies and harmonies Bach created must have been inspired by God himself, they are so beautiful.

It is amazing how Andras Schiff performs Bach’s music. The technique, the style, the phrasing and rhythm. It is just impeccable and flawless. Schiff has taken Bach’s works for the keyboard to a much higher level than anyone else.
