    Thanks for a great review. It's difficult to tell listening to a video. How much louder is the is the corded wahl than the andis? It seems a lot louder in the video, but Im reading they are supposed to be quiet. Also, can you recommend a narrow trummer for feet and face? I see great reviews on the onesisall, but i also see reviews with pictures saying it cut their dog and irritated their skin

    Thank you so much for this video. I'm going to give wet shaving a try for my dog. He got matted from me being ill off and on. Then, I tried grooming dry with mats but I woyld have to use a 10 blade. I looked up wet shaving. There is one other RUclips groomer I watch that wet shaves, and you both say the same thing. Thank you for sharing.

    A groomer dislikes a grooming product designed for people to skip the expensive groomers and DYI at home. This is not a good or unbiased review. Negative tone from the get-go. And how do you break combs in a day? I worry about your grooming skills.

    • @cleanclipcolor
      @cleanclipcolor 3 месяца назад

      It was sarcasm, but they do go flying off my table multiple times a day. It just didnt feel high quality. Sorry you don't like an honest review on a clipper. Just because someone isn't a professional doesn't mean they should buy cheaper non professional grade tools and expect them to work as good. I actually give owners grooming lessons so they can groom from home themselves and post a ton of videos to help DIY owners. My review has nothing to do with me not wanting owners to "skip the expensive groomer" it's showing the difference between lower quality and higher quality clippers so owners can make a more informed decision before investing.

Your review is pretty bias since you would not be using it at home and you are a professional groomer. They tried to shave her dry and immediately gave up one inch on her tail - she was yelping the whole time. I took her home and did the wet shave based on your video, not a single whimper, not a single nick, and lots of treats later she looks like a rat but all the mats are gone! Thank you

      Awww that makes me so happy to hear! I believe some of the corp grooming shops don't allow wet shaving and some groomers refuse to try it because they swear it will ruin their equipment. @@user-jf6mi3yv9y ok! If you can, try ordering an artero, buttercut or AGS brand blade? Are you using metal attachments like in my video? If you are, its best to use a 30 blade under them, not the 10blade the clippers came with.

    Im thinking I'll go with the Heinigers. Do you still really like these or are you leaning against the KM10's better? Wondering what kind of blades I should get and attachments? And do you get extra in case they get hot?

      Hey there! It really depends on if you're wanting to spend the extra $$ on cordless or not. The KM10s are still my favorite corded clipper and come at an amazing price for what you get. I really enjoy having cordless now though so I use my Heinigers. I've switched over to using artero blades, I have prob 10 of each blade because I'm OCD about having plenty of extras. As long as you keep them well oiled, NOT cool lube spray, and use the clippers on the lower speed, you shouldnt have much issue with them getting hot. When I use my artero wide blades, I use their attachments made for them. When using my regular blades, I use wahls stainless steel attaches (seen in this video).

    Can I wet shave with corded clippers? Is wet shaving ok for a complete newbie to shaving dogs? My 4mo labradoodle got matter on his flanks and legs after I had to take a trip and he stayed with family that bathed and friction towel dried him without brushing before or after (and he played in the countryside with 2 other crazy puppies for 7 days straight). I want to get the mats out but don’t want to go straight to a 10 blade, I’d prefer a 5 or a 7 blade if at all possible so I’d like to try wet shaving.

      Yes you can wet shave with any clippers, just do the proper cleaning afterwards! If its anywhere that is thin skinned or inside of the legs, I highly suggest doing a 10 blade, its much safer then a 5 and especially a 7 in thin skinned areas.

    I dislike Wahl as a company. They treated me very badly recently. Their BravMini clipper is a toy! Good for tiny detailing but the battery dies early with no replacement, and the blades are JUNK! The Wahl Bravura is the same BS, like you mentioned. I prefer the Andis Vida which is identical to Bravura but much more torque. However, neither the Bravura or Vida is good for full dog body work, more on suitable for detailing on belly, paws, face, genitals. Extreme detail work on tiny dogs needs the BravMini. Unfortunately there is nothing that is this small for delicate small dogs. I wish we had an alternative to the BravMini. I have the Andis AGC2 and quite happy with it. Its not Heiniger quality, does heat up fast on #30 blades, but does a good job of full body work. It is corded. It has survived a house fire, and still works just fine. I do change the drive shaft now and then, easy change, cheap part. I like Andis as a company, more responsive and they DO NOT subcontract their clippers out to China like Wahl does, which is why Wahl sucks big time. I will never buy another Wahl clipper, I hate this company!!! Heiniger Saphir came down in price to $315 - $250! Heiniger Opal is the next gen Saphir, and has a lot more features: 2 speeds, very quiet, cord/cordless option, run time doubled to 4 hrs! Saphir is 2 hrs. Good product in the Opal. Petedge sells the Andis AGC2 cheapest. For those who want a Bravura type medium clipper, try the Andis Vida. Same type of adjustable blade, same size. Andis is made in the USA, Bravura and all of Wahl's rotten products are made in China with 0 quality control. However, like I said, if you have Toy or Mini Poodle, and you need delicate clippers, you have no choice but to get the Wahl BravMini with their #30 fine blade because it does the ears, eyes, paws, butt for these tiny dogs really well. Small enough to get in there, and not dangerously strong. Laube iVac Clipper runs $600 and you have to clip backwards. Enough said! Note: Heiniger Opal is very sensitive to dirty blades and can shut off if blades are sticky with dirt. Clean them with H-42 or Artero blade cleaner, use blade oil, and do this before, during, after clipping. Blades last longer, and don't overheat. Clipper does not have to strain either.
