I just watched the series, binged it in 2 days. An absolute masterpiece. The cliffhanger ending had me ordering the manga, seconds after it ended.

Honestly a lot of people hate this game (and i can kinda see where the bitterness came from) but honestly im having some fun with this game.

Reminds me of this one post where it's talking about Kahjit talking about there children and it's just "random kahjit name, will be a feared warrior" and it's just a kitten.

At 14:15 you say that Guys and Griffith might be lovers but no where in the entire story is this implied. Guts is interested in Casca and clearly likes women. Another fact is that Guts was raped as a child by Donovan and in the black swordsman arc VERY CLEARLY shows that he will NOT allow another man to touch him.

This and the guts one are actually some of the best interpretations of the golden age I’ve heard and have actually made a lot of the subtext clearer so thank you!!

The giant unrealistic sword, the boy with the oversized sword, is muira with the unrealistic mastery with the pen and pencil, not sure what to do with his career

I’m halfway through my freshman year now and people keep talking about colleges and careers, but for almost months now I haven’t really been enjoying any of my hobbies like I used to and I don’t know what to aim for anymore, but I think this video kind of helped so thanks :)

Great analysis

I started with alassi as queen and im determined to maintain a Khajiit dynasty. She survived to old age and then i elected a new khajiit queen i had bred from one of alassi's cousins as heir (all of alassis children turned out breton somehow, because i had no khajiit to breed her with) and she had an assassination attempt super fast, thankfully i had a revive. The game isn't Great but its alright. Fun way to pass time on the bus or during breaks at work. I appreciate that its a bit better than fallout shelters (imo), and it has ways to help prevent incestuous breeding and marriages (except at a certain point it stops counting cousins as cousins if theyre distant enough).

This might be a little bit esoteric and cringey to say in a YT comment, but I as someone who’s had a fascination with religion and pre-history, Guts’ response to life seems to be almost Hermetic in the way that it steels you for the pursuit of purpose in a purposeless world… Griffith, on the other hand, looks at the purposelessness of the world and adopts the Gnostic response: if purpose doesn’t matter in the end, then everything is meaningless; as long as I can convince myself the world is meaningless, then it doesn’t really matter what I do, so long as I get what I want. Thought I was reading a Jungian picture-book when I first started reading Berserk, and this video is a great essay/reference that affirms that. Profound reading of what the anime conveys!

Lack of power and lack of will to power is what corrupts. Not chasing power itself. Griffith was corrupted by weakness and lack of power against Guts.

Grifiths dreams are like a two sharped sword: In the on hand you don’t want to hurt your family and friends and want that they joined your dream. But on the other hand 😅 … i want to have the power rule the world and become a god. And not gonna lie the most of us would do the same like Griffith (don’t think i mean casca)

Many say Berserk has never had a satisfactory adaptation, but I think the 1997 anime is almost as good as the manga

12:20, just thought now that, guts from the present chapters of berserk is exactly wat he describes as an friend, "a true friend never relies on other's dream, the one who would be my friend must have his own reason for living" "guts dream is caska now, not griffth's, " beyond me and he should put his hearth and soul into protecting his dream, he should never hesitate to defend it, even against me" guts prioritizes casca's safety above all, mainly against griffith.

I started with Rahim and was assassinated on day 2, now his son is ruler and I'm trying to keep my subjects happy 😂😂😂

It's worth it to have just absoulte chaos and racism in the begging for a whole bunch of loot each assassination until u have a proper leader 😂
