I love seeing malls, and I find older/dying malls even more fascinating. I visited here (Brunswick Square Mall) last month for the first time and was immediately scolded at for just taking photos and recording the inside to show my friends back at home. Granted, I didn't see that there was a sign that says no videography or photography allowed at the entrance (they really should make those signs bigger and have some signage/icons), but I don't understand why we weren't allowed to do so in the first place. Wouldn't they want business? Of course, I respectfully put my phone away, but it's nice to see some footage here on youtube of this place.

I was in St John two years ago and will be back in four weeks on this very ship. Can't wait!!! 😊

I went to school in forest hills and later quispamsis. I miss Saint John so much. If I ever moved back to New Brunswick you can bet it would be in Saint John!! Love you guys! Keep making awesome videos!!

I visited relatives in quispamsis in July. We spent an evening in uptown and I really miss it! I lived in Saint John in the mid eighties and early 90s. I did the opposite of you guys and moved downtown Vancouver in the Yaletown area. I really do miss Saint John though. Favorite place in New Brunswick! That spot you guys are at used to be rental spots for bands to practice.

We’ve been to Sussex before it’s a nice town. They have a nice mini downtown where you can walk to little shops 🏬

23:32 Btw everything north of the saint john throughway is the north end (including millidgeville and indiantown, one of the biggest neighborhoods), everything south of there is "uptown", everything south of duke street is the "south end" of uptown. everything east of the courtenay bay causeway bridge is the east side, everything west of the reversing falls bridge/the port of saint john is the west side The definition of "lower west side" and "upper west side" are a bit less clear, but in my mind I think of lower west as everything south/southwest of Lancaster Mall, and upper west as everything north/northwest of the same mall.

ive lived in saint john my whole life and walked the shoreline trail a total of one time, easily my favorite trail. easily walkable, not too long, not too short, very beautiful ocean view, pretty flowers in summer time... love it

also a little pro tip about the area around 16:45 and very specifically Wright Street it's had a pretty bad reputation for years much similar to the reputation that indiantown has I've never encountered any issues there but most of the people who live on that road are pretty sketchy (in like 2019 idk how it is now that the population has changed a lot in saint john) i also like how you mentioned the details about how every house is different... its less different than you would imagine, my friend lives right across the road from me, and both of our houses have the exact same floor plan, but the exterior is quite different

It's a wasted idea for them to think of putting a grocery store in Brunswick Square because there's no room for it unless they're going to put a floor / ceiling between either the first and second floor or the second and third floor and they would have to take the escalators out Brentwood Square was better as a mall with many different stores and a food court why they closed everything is beyond me because that was The happening spot aside from city market and market Square there's no place for a grocery store inlet mall unless they take out the food court and put a grocery store underneath that floor there. And I don't know why in that food court in the upper seating area I always feel The haunting presence in that spot like there's something there paranormal every time I went there years ago it felt like something historical that happened there or there's paranormal activity happening there I just don't feel comfortable sitting in that area for some reason. I guess like I said a grocery store would not be a good idea for the model unless I put it where the food court is that's the only spot available and it won't be a big grocery store either

I do miss my hometown but things closing down for no reason was a waste of time

St. John, NB is our top pick to relocate to! Your videos are so reassuring and informative! Such a beautiful place!

Your videos are excellent we really enjoy Saint John as well with the scenery of the market, boardwalk downtown events like the containers that are close to the cruise ships 🚢

Hopefully, I will be able to move back to NB in a year or so! I'll be in touch once I'm ready to go house hunting 😊

Lower west the worst part of saint john.

lovely video, yes, they’re doing quite the facelift uptown and I’m here for it. I grew up here as a child, moved away for a couple decades, but after getting married, my wife and I decided to move back to Saint John our forever home.

Born and raised on the west side. Lived on guilford street as a baby from 82 to 88 ( the big house on the left right at the 17:00 mark) and spent the rest of my years growing up on Beaconsfield ave. Love the area.

The first section of Champlain Heights was built in the late 50's, the section past the school to Grandview was built in the early 70's
