Deckbuilder Prototype: Basic combat loop
Просмотров 717 месяцев назад
This is a quick clip of a few turns from the party-based deckbuilder that I'm working on. Every unit can launch turns that target teammates or opponents depending on their position, so you'll need to move units to the right spots to use moves most effectively.

It's been a long time since the last update, but I've been diligently working since then. You'll see some significant updates in this video, especially in the environment, as I've added lights, backgrounds, and a procedural generation system. Unfortunately, I still don't know how to edit videos, so please bear with me as I figure it out.
Recreating the Ultrahand ability from Tears of the Kingdom!
Просмотров 269Год назад
I challenged myself to recreate the Ultrahand ability from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as fast as possible. This took me a little over an hour the connections stumped me for a minute! In my version, you can pick up and move objects, rotate them, and connect them to each other. #zelda #tearsofthekingdom #gamedev github.com/ranjansikand/ultrahandDemo I claim no rights to the source ...
Recreating the Telekinesis from Control (in 1 HOUR!)
Просмотров 70Год назад
After playing Tears of the Kingdom this weekend, I wanted to try a quick prototype of a telekinesis system, like in Control or InFamous 2. I might continue working on it, but for now, it's just a quick tech demo. You can check out the code here: github.com/ranjansikand/telekinesisDemo #unity3d #devlog #control #gamedev Cover image from www.igdb.com/games/control/presskit#images
Making a Pokemon-like in Unity! Upgrading, switching, and some other updates.
Просмотров 364Год назад
In this clip, you'll see a number of updates from my previous posts! I added test visuals for a lot of things, as well as some transitions, sound effects, and a little bit of polish overall. Still some visual bugs for me to work on, but a huge step from the last video. I added two big mechanical changes from the previous videos to differentiate this game from Pokemon: - One is the energy system...

Unity Inventory System demo: picking up, dropping, and equipping items

A short demo showcasing a pause-menu inventory system I made. You can pick up, drop, or use items, or equip items to one of 4 distinct inventory slots, designed for different equipment types.
Thats awesome. How'd you manage to do this, get them to connect like that.
The fastest way is to just set transforms, but what I did in the video was with fixed joints. It was a little more structured and predictable. I put a link to the GitHub repo in the description if it helps!
