Jok is the name of Spirit/God for Traditional Luos that Crazzolara found in use throughout East Africa in the 1800s. Today they have convinced some Luos that Jok/Juok/Jwok is Evil Wizardry/Witchcraft. The Luos are found in Kongo, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, Ethiopia and even W.Africa. The Ethiopian Anuak/Anyuak Bible still refers to God as Jok/Jwok. So in essence, "The People of God" are in deed the Africans.
