looked like a great run, a shame about the audio. but i could hear you squealing rubber for most of the track. the goods news is that the 255 falkens feel great on your car. regarding the audio, the cable was not fully plugged in - i noticed it after you were done your runs, unfortunately. you want to not see any brass.

same thoughts - you got off to a great start and maintained a good pace and execution, setting up where you needed to. i would've thought the turbo would've taken a much harder hit in the high temps, but your acceleration still looked strong - i guess subaru must have left design margin in the engine mapping to compensate for the hot, humid air.

Good launch and good run. Guess the blazing heat was enough to awaken the old Falkens!

Seems like there was a good difference in attack and speed from your first to last run. Big change was hitting 3rd gear!

Heard some good consistent tire noise from almost the entire course AND looks like your 2-3 shift point was well chosen to maximum that straight. I wonder what your top speed was there? Looked fast. Just need to put some more torque on your mount arm.

Funny how we both went faster on run 6 when conditions were potentially degrading. Goes to show there's always more time on the table, you just have to figure out how to get it

Very good run! at this point the rear finally looks hooked up. makes me think the subi could benefit from a slightly softer rear compound, although that would preclude rotations (but maybe without rotations, a hard front and soft rear would wear evenly?)

this one got really popular - over 1000 views. i do think this was one of your strongest showings in the WRX to-date.

in many of the corners you had an instance or two when your line and overall approach was close to ideal - now you just have to string those all together over one full lap! ;-)

Good reaction at the start and a good amount of head checks for other karts behind you. @4:25 is a great example of using the full track, turning in at the right moment and not turning more than you need to. This leads to smoothness and minimal loss of momentum. This was a precision you lacked at many other turns on other laps but to be fair so did I. Looking forward to more practice time in these karts as that is exactly what I think we need.

Apparently kart #1 was NOT a ringer kart

That looked like a fun battle between you and Casey (although she admits she was just barely keeping up with you when they threw the blue flag, and she admits she made a few mistakes once she was leading "under pressure"). Kart #5 looked very "on the nose", rotating nicely in both directions. But maybe it needed just a hair more rear grip?

Looks like you and Casey perfected the dive bomb into T1! Looks like #7 must have been a decent kart.

Good throttle control. I'd imagine 400 hp and torque on street tires in heavy rain could have gotten out of hand otherwise.

my best run was also (i think) run 4 - i think conditions might've been a little worse for run 5 too.

That steering ratio made easy work of the slalom!

Ironically had both of our dirty runs been clean we would have finished separated by the same 3 tenths...just faster overall. See you next time.

looks like the cone was at 00:48 trying to get on the power early? and the final sweeper looked like a challenging decreasing radius but it looks like you had a good approach through there

The WRX looked like it is happier again with slightly cooler air temps (for horsepower). that was quite a straightaway near the start but then it looked to be pretty tight and technical, looked like a lot of fun. and from the audio it sounds like you are keeping the tires singing pretty well again.

Too bad the cars on main downed out your audio somewhat. Couldn't hear quite as much info from the engine and tires in the video.

Between you and Marc the nice added ballast helped heat up the tires a bit quicker. Thanks.

More consistent squealing of the tires correlates to the fastest run. Good feedback to use at future events - keep the tires talking.

The slalom control and spacing was impressive!

Nice run! I wanted to see where that pace came from so I compared our videos side by side and we were pretty close up until the end of the slalom, with you being about a car length ahead, but then you pulled more than a second on me during the rest of the course. I'll have to do better next time!

We are starting too see the real potential of a stock 2020 WRX now that your actually have some real grip!
