For as long as I can remember I have worn gloves of some kind while working on cars. Mostly to keep my hands from getting dirty, but it has saved my skin a time or two. My friends always made a glove reference when I posted pics of my projects or repairs so what better to call my channel than GlovedUp Garage. Watch as we work on all kinds of project vehicles, sometimes while wearing nitrile mechanic gloves.

No go on sunroof foxbody's, especially Cobras...
Awesome project
I was at my local ford dealer in 93 buying a different car and they had 2 in the teal color on the showroom floor. One had leather the other didn't. They had them discounted. $16,500 for the one with cloth seats.. I kick myself for not buying one back in the day
@@nickj583 oh wow. That would have been a good deal for sure. Right car, wrong time again. Thanks for watching!!
If you can fix that qt, you can 100% save that door.
@@RedHammerBodyShop it’s a cost versus time difference. A new door is 150 tops, versus 6-8 hours at the low end of the scale. I think the beam is twisted also. In theory any part can be saved if you have the time and skills. Thanks for watching!!
@GlovedUpGarage if it wasn't a cobra I would agree. But as a cobra owner I can assure you the more original the car, the more it will be valued. If it's not salvageable I understand, but original doors on a 93 cobra are a definite plus.
Would you like to sell it ?

@@RideAgainClassics sounds like a good time. One day I’d like to build a Fobra with T tops. Thanks for watching!!
I was about to pull the trigger on a 1993 Teal Cobra with grey leather in 1997, but as a driver with a lead foot and being 19 years old I couldn’t afford the $12,000/ year insurance I was quoted. I love these cars so much, and thanks for saving one bro! Props to you!!!
@@luckymanham302 thank you! We’ve all been there and passed on an awesome car. Right car, wrong time I guess. Thanks for watching!!
Unless the fender has already been replaced I would not replace the fender I would rather cut the rusted part off and weld on a new section because every body panel has the Vin on it and you devalue the car by replacing body panels
@@michaelakers8698 the VIN stickers are faded and barely readable. I’d still like to save them if I can, but it’s going to take a lot of work and extra time. Thanks for watching!!
All over the Orlando area open the garage Bam there's one
@@nimmi2424 they’re kinda rare up here in KY. Thanks for watching!!
I never see a 1993 cobra. They are rare. That’s why they bring good money. I would try to save what you can. So all the numbers match.
I’ll definitely save what I can, but the hood and door are too far gone. The fenders could be worked and possibly saved but the VIN stickers are faded and no longer visible. Thanks for watching!!
Try Marti as in the Marti Report people. They are an awesome source of information, and might be able to point you in the right direction as far as finding NOS parts or at least factory correct parts and labels…
@ I’ll let the owner decide if he wants to order the report. I’m sure he probably will, and I’ll update once it arrives
They're not rare but are desirable. Teal probably being the lowest build number. I'm sad to see this cobra in this state but at least you're going to fix it.
I’m sure we can turn this thing around and make it like new again! Thanks for watching!!
I would say it is pretty rare. They only made 368 with grey cloth and likely not all were sunroof cars. Remove the cars that are totalled and gone from existence, low chance a ton are around. That said, lot of work to get it back to being worth some $$.
@ I’m all about some work to save a car. That’s what we do here! Thanks for watching!!
So you think both sides are possible without removing the engine ?
@@Frankcontreras312 yes if you can move the AC line that will give you more room. Thanks for watching!!
