I will show you how to fix things, think outside the box, and learn from my life experiences.
2007 Mustang Door Panel Fix Tutorial
This is a tutorial video on how to fix a 2007 GT Mustang door panel.
This is a common issue in most mustang S197 body style years 2005 to 2009 The vinyl Ford used on the door panels does not adhere well to the board material and tends to come off. This inconvenience is more prone to happening in highly fluctuating climates, humid areas, or hot temperatures.
I fixed my driver side panel a year ago and its still holding up as perfect. I live in Houston Texas so the weather here is very hot and humid. I believe this is the best solution to this problem. I decided to make this video because I was tired of seeing random videos attempting to fix the issue and most ended with poor results.

good idea pal, how many times need to dry that spray??
Curious as to how long this repair has held up??
Did it hold?
Excellent video, just got a 2008 with the drivers door material just hanging. Followed your video step by step and it looked factory when done. The only thing I would add is pay extra attention to the corners, they're tricky, especially the bottom strip,it's so narrow.
The reason the vinyl fell off of the door is because the foam is going bad. spraying glue on this foam is Not the right repair. Also the vinyl is shrinking from age. If you first remove all of the old foam and use a high quality, high heat glue the vinyl should stay up for a year or two, but it will fall off again as the vinyl will continue to shrink with age.
Thanks. Going to give this a try. I tried once w/ Gorilla glue and it worked for only a few months. I’ll try ordering the 3m headliner glue and applying as you did.
this "fix" may last APROXMENTLY 5 years. the foam backing is sprayed on a very thin plastic bladder. it should be completely removed to assure a permanent fix. And yes, it's very difficult to remove.
Nice work dude...
Thank you very much! I'm going to give it a try.
💡 thanks
Yeah the plasti dip looks like black carpet but cheaper than this if the vinyl is gone when you buy the car buddy also if he sanded more it would be the better option for most
I am not a fan of the plasti dip....i guess it depends how well it is applied.
Nice tips on how to apply the spray.
Glad it was helpful!
How long did it hold?
Sorry for the late reply. Its been a year and its still holding up...intact. Just take your time when you do it.
Its been over a year I should say. My passenger side I did 2 years ago and still good.
3 years
Its a fucking spider-web in a can lol
Haha pretty much it is
Looks great. Many thanks, I'll be doing this repair tomorrow.
I hope yours comes out great also. Just take your time. Thanks for watching.
